Happy Sunday to everyone in the house, I joined this forum in less than two weeks ago, I started from page one, and now I'm up to date, in all fairness, I have learnt a lot, and I will as well advice all new comers to take their time to read from the beginning rather than asking questions that must have been treated in the past, that aside.
I noticed no one here ever mentioned applying for physics and it's related courses, which is the path I'm following, I also noticed that so many universities are offering it which leaves me with so many options to choose from, now I would love to know, what are the odds of studying such pure science course in Germany? Is it a sort after career and is it marketable? ie, what's the possibility of getting a full time job in the field after ones Msc degree? or I should follow another path in relations to science and engineering? just being curious.

You're welcome to the thread bro.
Thank you for recommending reading previous parts. I'm sure you have the basics at hand now.

As regards your choice of course, you'll definitely do well. As PhilFit has said, do well, learn German to B2, gather experience on internships and God's grace will back you up.

If you like Astrophysics, you can apply for MSc Astrophysics at university of Potsdam. The admission is not restricted and the Application via Uni-assist has been paid for by the school.

Once more, you're welcome. wink

Good evening house, i recently heard an account of two persons who were asked to re-write their motivational letter at the embassy during the interview.

can anyone validate this possibility?
Thanks

Birth certificate? No.

Passport? It depends on what your school wants. But if you're certifying at the embassy, you'll definitely attach a copy of your passport.

Probably they didn't went with the handwritten motivation letter.
It's clearly stated on the visa checklist.

Depends on your state..
Some state would give you straight two years permit..in this case you don't necessarily need blocking again for the second year...while some state would give u just a year permit and to extend your residence you need show proof of fund(some would accept half BA while some would request full BA)

So can the little money a student gets from student job be able to sustain one every month. Without spending from the money in ones block account.
This is to enable to have the same money in the block account for the following year

A4 is better, because you will have to photocopy to get two copies, and photocopy machine use A4.

So everything can be neat without lines.

Make sure the original is clearly written with readable handwriting.

Out of all the ten lepers who Christ Jesus healed, only but one came back to give thanks. Funny enough out of all that travelled last year, only but one (heybaby12) came back to help others with questions here consistently.

Am saying this because, a good number of guys am seeing here will definitely do much worse than the aforementioned. That's if we can even find one who will manage to come, not to talk of answering questions.

A good number of peeps here are only interested in what concerns them at the moment. Many have blatantly refused to read, thereby asking questions repeatedly and demanding an answer immediately as if people here are under obligation to answer them. Some have sent numerous pm to almost every one present because they want answers for their own personal consumption only.

How many persons here contribute their time, resources and experience to solving tonnes of problems here, anyway am seeing some cool headed guys of late creeping in with wonderful solutions, so invariably there is a glimpse of hope if it is sustained even after traveling to deutschland.

Imagine how interesting this thread will be when a good number of guys who have traveled come back to dish their experience, their timely solutions, their selfless act of service ie those willing to help post documents for others to different locations in Germany, those willing to accommodate and make life easier for their fellow brothers who they are just meeting for the very first time.

A good number of peeps here are asking about hustling in the different cities they are heading to, internship opportunities, survival tips, study outcomes and presently renewing of residence permit through block account repayments. But it's quite unfortunate, they can't get such even when the answers are not far fetched.

I want to personally acknowledge and thank these people cos they have really impacted lives here. Join me as I thank honourableseyi, Eke40seven, hadassakel(sorry if I didn't spell your moniker properly, but I want to believe you know am referring to you), Berliner1, dolpaz, Soocute, heybaby12, IAmPhiL (sorry if it was not spelt correctly), pitapromiz. This people have been a blessing to several others here.

To butress my point, I saw how expectant and happy you guys are here when oga dolpaz dropped those wonderful nuggets about integration, dating in Germany, tips for bringing in your other half over there etc. You also saw those lovely contributions about studying in Bavaria from SooCute.

If you are very observant you will notice that the culture of posting experiences on visa interview transcripts have gradually wanned off if not completely off, as the excuse of why should we do so since its virtually the same thing, but they quickly forget that they have been asking questions that have been answered here repeatedly over and over again. Recently someone here asked about test questions (maths, physics, biology etc) asked for bachelors degree applicants, but no answer was provided, of course where do you expect it to come from, your guess is as good as mine. Hahahahaaha

Now back to you reading this very piece, I want to personally ask you who you don help? Are you so heartless that you keep taking from a system without even giving anything in return. You have the answers, so do justice to it yourself.

The Indians are taking over almost every area of professional expertise, CEO of google, Microsoft, MasterCard, Pepsico, Diageo, Adobe systems are all Indians. Look at how far a good number of them have gone apart from the aforementioned. Why can't the same be said of us. These guys have selflessly helped themselves to the top. But what have we.......

I pray you turn a new leaf as you quietly digest this long boring post.... hahahahaha. It's well, May the good Lord guide and bless each and every one of us.

Shalom.

I'm currently studying applied and engineering physics at the TUM.

Studying physics is quite interesting but how interesting you'll find it all depends on your chosen area of specialisation and what you want to do afterwards. Wanna remain in academia or industry? What areas interest you? condensed matter? biomedical physics, astrophysics? energy science, etc.

I would say that getting a job after graduation wouldn't be a problem if you give it your all and know what you want. A good number of my seniors go for a PhD after an Msc, so you have to decide if research is what you want or not.

You really have to be sure that you love physics and it's what you want, if not I'll probably advise you pick something that interests you.

If I understand you, you mean WAEC scratch card. Just look for cyber cafes around you and ask. Or better still look for those 14-16 year old kids in secondary school to show you around. You should get one within your location.

gurus in the house, kindly assist:
my passport bears an additional middle name not on my certificates or transcript. will a sworn "same person" affidavit suffice when submitting both documents for the admission and visa processes?

many thanks.

Very well said , I joined this thread in part 5 and I read from part 2 , we all should try and read this thread , from what I see , I can sense selfishness people continuously asking questions and never giving back on here , in part 2-5 , the visa interview transcripts , tips and a whole lot of useful information , helped me through this process , and I’ll be here to give back , but we all have to sustain the culture of giving back to the system , aside admission which seems like the only thing talked about here getting the visa interview and eventually AM and visa is another major hurdle , let’s all be our brothers keeper and share more information here and when we eventually get to Deutschland check back on here as frequently as you checked when you needed help to assist others . It’s busy but we all know how to make out Time for important things .
Bless up

Are you doing the masters in Nigeria?

What I'll suggest is that you should open daad and search for this your course or related courses.
Check their requirements and then send a mail to the course coordinator stating the program you're doing at the moment, and your desire to transfer to their school. Wait for their response. They'll definitely answer you.

Now, if they tell you it's possible to transfer, then start packing your documents for application.

If they tell you it's not possible: you have 2 options

1. Jejely complete the masters you're doing now and start another one in Germany when you're done here.
2. Abandon the program you're doing and start a fresh application to Germany.

Shalom smiley

No, attach your photo electronically before printing.
If you're uploading it online, there's no need to print. Just upload the PDF after you've inserted your image.
