Day2logic: Stop spreading ignorance Obama was also challenged that he was Kenyan then he brought his birth certificate which showed that he was born in Hawaii thus making him a full American citizen by birth. His mother too is a full American. Let Atiku bring his birth certificate that shows where he was born. In the absence of birth certificate, we will rely on the information he himself has provided which is Jada village in northern Cameroon. 1 Like |

cyrilamx: Your logic hold no water, first it was Atiku is a Cameroonian, now your narrative has changed oh he is indeed a Nigerian but can't hold public office, are you such a confused and disturbed individual for real? Both Atiku,Buhari and some present day Cameroonians were all born in the colony and protectorate Nigeria(1914-1954)until it was divided in 1954 into present day Nigeria and some parts of present day Cameroon and so therefore carry same status of place of birth. How come Atiku is now conveniently a Cameroonian while Buhari is a Nigerian when they were all born in the same country as there was no such entity as Cameroon until 1954. I hope I have made myself clear in the most elementary way for u to comprehend and if u still don't understand your case is indeed irredeemable. |

Nobody says @Atiku is not a Nigerian now. The cogent point about his eligibility to contest to be president of Nigeria is that he was not born a Nigerian i.e. He wasn't Nigerian at birth as required by the Constitution! He became a Nigerian in 1961 after a referendum added his birthplace that was part of Cameroon to Nigeria at age 15, having been born in 1946. The constitution is very clear on who can be president of Nigeria. The person has to be 100% a Nigerian at birth. You cannot backdate the referendum of 1961 that made Atiku become a Nigerian to the date of his birth in 1946. However, all Nigerians born in that his birthplace since 1961 referendum are fully and wholly Nigerians who are qualified to be president of Nigeria, but not anyone of them born before the referendum. Summarily; Atiku Abubakar is fully a Nigerian but not qualified to be president of the country. His case is similar to what the Republicans wanted to use to nullify Obama's presidency, until he provided his birth certificate that showed he was born in Hawaii, on US soil. Unfortunately, Atiku wasn't born on Nigerian soil as at the day he was born. 1 Like |

saintol: U sef try to use ur brain to understand what I'm saying...so if u give birth to ur child in London, does that mean that he isn't eligible to contest in Nigeria , or if some how they decide to merge Benin republic with Nigeria as one sovereign state, will u now say those from Benin republic aren't qualified to contest an election or given a Nigerian passport... doesn't it show how foolish these guys are |

Re: Jada Atiku's Birth Place Was Part Of Northern Cameroon- Premium Times Fact Check by abbakacici: 10:30am On Apr 15, 2019 |
neyobills:he was born in British Cameroon thus technically not Nigerian Fulani soldiers founded the Adamawa Emirate in the north in the 19th century, and various ethnic groups of the west and northwest established powerful chiefdoms and fondoms. Cameroon became a German colony in 1884 known as Kamerun. After World War I, the territory was divided between France and the United Kingdom as League of Nations mandates. The Union des Populations du Cameroun (UPC) political party advocated independence, but was outlawed by France in the 1950s, leading to the Bamileke War fought between French and UPC militant forces until early 1971. In 1960, the French-administered part of Cameroon became independent as the Republic of Cameroun under President Ahmadou Ahidjo. The southern part of British Cameroons federated with it in 1961 to form the Federal Republic of Cameroon 1 Like |

Wallade:That means you dabbled into a mention you never understood its content. Even with the story he was born in 1946 in Jeda which is in Adamawa that was part of Cameroun before becoming part of Nigeria by plebiscite of 1961, you still arguing blindly? When Atiku was born, his birth place wasn't a Nigeria's territory. And by 1999 constitution, Atiku is not eligible to be president of Nigeria by virtue of the above findings....If that is too difficult to comprehend, I dont think I can help you again. Believe whatever you like, but dont cry later that PMB has muzzled the Judiciary to do his bidding .... |
