Uncle Kola, thats anyone's cup of tea like you have said.....that doesnt mean the truth should not be told about a stock, whosoever is going into it will at least know that he/she is taking risk.
With due respect, why didnt you come out to encourage Chibuking to buy then, siting these japaul, diamond instances? Maybe it would have benefited others as well. Cant remember reading any comment from you all thru that time except when you sold.

Na waoh. Those wet get liver to buy chams at 20kobo are comfortably sitting on 60% profit now not even paper profit(full bid).......
That seems to prove right the philosophy that 'The riskier the stock investment, the higher the returns if it turns out good". I only hope Chibubear re-entered CHAMS that day despite the contrary tunes.

Bubu was in power in January 2018 when very many stocks gave returns of over 150% within just two weeks. So to a very large extent, the market is not really controlled by who holds political power.

I have bought before chibuking81 draw the attention of members to chams. I did not advice anyone here to buy because I know it will be dead on arrival, because 90% of analyst here will strongly condemn the idea of buying such stock. If you had followed some of my post, I always advocate for diverse ideas from all members. However, I so much appreciate the views of all our in-house analyst that always draw constructive criticisms whenever any stock comes to limelight.

Rather, the NSE is a mixture of fundamentals, emotions, common sense, sentiments etc. Whichever way you follow to succeed is your own cup of tea. It is important to listen to the advice of others as additional advantage and thereafter draw your inference/conclusion. That is why DD is always a key.

DF, Chams, Diamond are typical examples, even Japaul gave some 200% capital appreciation. I have been sitting in JB for more than 4 months, yet I have not seen 20% appreciation, while Fidelity has returned more than 20% lost till date, though I am yet to sell. But Chams in just 7 days gave me 25% capital appreciation.

Why Oracle insists on potbelly man is if e no poo e go vomit.

We should hold this as NSEMPA anthem.

Everyone ought to buy any stock of his choice but when the kasala burst...........nko?

Yes some stocks gave 200% profit as chams is giving now........not up to 10% was able and will be able to bail out on profit.some 200% profit we saw then later became paper profit.

People made money in MMM. So they can still make in CHAMS. But newbies should be careful. İt is after the dividends that we will know if the dividend was a Greek gift for people to offload or the company has turned around. And if it proves to be what it used to be, I wonder how many years people will hold the stock afterwards.

Couldn't have been better said. Our analysts here made it an all-fundamentals affair while comfortably forgetting that our is a country where, in making choices, majority don't bother about principles but sentiments. Like I have always said and believed even before I joined this thread, SA remains the best guide on NSE.

We are telling you stocks that have been at 50kobo for many years before they removed the barrier for it to slide further.

It's just the way some of us talk insensitively here.
If you are not interested in investing in a stock why constantly make negative statements about it. Non stop?!
Do you not think there are others here who think the opposite and thus invested their hard earned monies in the stock?
Why try to frighten them and cause them high blood pressure and pain?
My understanding is simple, if someone here chooses not to invest in a stock then simply give your reason for not investing and move on!
Stop with the bashing and bashing and endless bashing of a stock - make your unbiased point and leave it.
Let's consider our other colleagues here please.

The key to all those stocks without fundamentals is to buy when you have nothing to loose. Don't ever buy when the price has already apreciated, if not, you will be buying ordinary shell. (for example, chams at 20k, with the assurance of 3k dividend is a win-win situation for me)

Remember how some talk negativity about Diamond, until we saw the goodies from Access.

The markets will always present opportunities for profits, but too much analysis create fear.

Just look at Unity bank,

"The grapes are not sour", my brother. People have made money in his last tenure in NSE. So don't be the fox in the story below. grin

Story of the fox and the grapes.

One warm summer’s day a fox was ambling along, enjoying the sunshine. He came across a vine.

Juicy bunches of grapes were hanging from its branches, ripe and ready to be eaten.

The fox was thirsty, so when he saw the grapes, he wanted to eat them right away.

Walking back a few steps, the fox took a run up and jumped and almost reached the grapes. “I'll try again," the fox thought. He took a few steps back, counted to three and ran and jumped again, but he still couldn't reach the grapes.

“Third time lucky!”, the fox said and jumped for a third time. But he still couldn't reach. He tried again and again until he became very tired and couldn’t jump any more.

The fox thought for a while, put his nose in the air and said to himself, “Well, I’m sure the grapes were sour anyway!”

There is no attraction yet in the bolded, the moment I see it, I will buy. Zenith, JB, Fidelity and even Caverton with all the fundamentals are struggling to give capital appreciation. While Unity Bank, Diamond Chams, DF is making shareholders happy. I have since learnt to have a mixture of stocks with fundamentals and sentiments in my portfolio, so that in anyway the market goes, it is a win-win for me.

Error that people often make is that some always mistake honest advise as not allowing people to make money. Chams only need 100k units to keep on appreciating daily. 1m put in Chams will give you 3m units at today's price. Will you be able to sell all the units when it gets to 50kobo. Please all man should buy what they want to buy ooòooo. [quote author=RabbiDoracle post=77589869]

The truth remains that no stock is immune to disaster. We have seen stocks with better fundamentals ending up as Greek gifts.

Unity bank has a negative equity. How will you make your analysis of such a stock? Maybe you are an insider in the bank that knows who will recapitalize the bank, but most of us that only read their annual/quarterly reports, we are making our decisions based on these.
