How To Speak With Airtel Customer Care Agent by Mobsync(m): 8:12am On Feb 23, 2018
As of March 15 2023:

#1. Dial 111

## Select language

#2. Press 2 (Main menu)

#3. Press 4 (Top enquires)

#4. Press 2 (Overscratched card)

#5. Press 9

You will be transfered to a human Customer Care agent.

A very big Thank you to Mercygreatwoman for revealing this new method and to Ianiam for confirming it works.

Please read: It appears Airtel likes changing their Customer Care number without warning and hiding the option to speak to an agent under the most ridiculous options because they don't want people to call.

This is troubling as many people search for how to speak to an Airtel Customer Care agent and land on this thread. So it is important that the option listed above is current.

Please, if the option listed above stops working and you find one that works, leave a comment and mention me so that I'll update the method above.

Thanks a lot.

Old method. No longer works.

As of March 18 2021:

#1. Call 111

Select language if you haven't previously selected one...

#2. Press 2

#3. Press 4

#4. Press 4 again

#5. Press 9

Note: You do not need to listen to the computer before pressing the buttons.

Thanks to Emma1st, Trytillmake and Charlssey who brought it to my notice that the old method is no longer working.

.

Older method (No longer working):

1. Dial 111

2. Choose your language. 1 is for English.

3. Press 3 (line registration services, internet services, dropped balance etc)

4. Press 5 (dropped balance)

5. Press 9

You'll be transferred to an agent.

I loaded 500 naira on my Airtel line about one week ago and the money quickly depleted even though I didn't make much calls. I didn't think much about it and loaded another 500 naira only for the same thing to happen.

Then I started wondering the kind of witchcraft that was happening.

I called Airtel's customer care numbers, both 111 and 121 but kept talking to the answering machines and couldn't reach any agents, even after testing all the options. I also tweeted their Twitter handles -- the main one and the customer care oriented one but they refused to reply.

I didn't load any airtime again until this morning when I loaded 200 naira. About 140 naira was quickly deducted. I tried Airtel's customer care numbers again and still couldn't speak with a human being.

I've googled the numbers -- whether it's been changed -- and all I get is the 121 and 111 that don't work.

Please does anyone know how I can speak to an Airtel customer care agent that is also a human being?

Thank you.

Dial 121 then pick the section for internet settings (4) then after listening to all their stories they tell you to press (9) to speak to an agent

I have been facing this same issues for quite some times now.
Have looking for a way to speak to their customer care agents, but the machine keeps wasting my time.

I purposely loaded 100 yesterday just to be sure, but only this morning its remaining #32.

If this continue I am going to stop recharging this damn network

Follow the process above to call them to lodge your complaint. They'll stop all illegal deductions.

I think it is when you subscribe to use Airtel data to browse that you will experience these deductions cuz since i started using my other network for my data on the same phone the deductions stopped

When you sub on Airtel, you'll be provided with three options regarding what you want to do when your sub finishes/expire.

You should always select "No data, no browsing", which is the third option.

Thanks so much for this. Airtel keeps removing my credit and I don't make calls with the line. Infact I have stopped using their internet service.

You're welcome. I also had to call Airtel for the same reason but spent hours searching for their customer care line without success. That was why I put this here.

This useless airtel just zapped my data! sub 2.5g data + 1g night on 23rd april, 2019, around 8pm. Didn't download any video, only used insta n only did night browsing this morning for less than 1hr, lo n behold, my 2.5g + 1.78g (night) is finished! this has never happened b4, something must b wrong wit their system or they're just thieves! This is what usually last for almost 2wks normally. Called customer care 111, n requested for details of my data consumption, he said their system is been upgraded n they can't provide that now.
I'm pissed, this is daylight robbery! Who can i report to, who protects d consumers/subscribers in nigeria?
