Do you share free money to them in Lagos? Is it not money from our region that has been used to develop all parts of Nigeria? Why do your people want to die on top Niger delta oil money? Can your states survive without Niger Delta oil money?

Do you even know that Lagos is also a Oil Producing State?

Your state have been receiving the most allocations with nothing to show for it but still yet you are more concern about Lagos grin

Nigeria can not survive without the Niger Delta OYEL

If I take you to where this OYEL is being drilled you will not believe it. The federal government has completely surround the entire region with JTF just to guide this precious OYEL wells. Yet my people are suffering and nothing to show for!!!

Your brain is paining you...bayelsa is competing with less developed areas in Lagos like Ikorodu, Agege, Iyana Ipaja , Abule Egba.

The IGR of Ikeja alone is more than that of the whole of Bayelsa

Money that exchange hands in Lagos alone in one day is probably what exchange hands in Bayelsa in a year.

Meet a Psychiatrist to fix your brain.

The whole of South East\South south is shit.

Delta? grin

Delta and Bayelsa are the most dussapointing states in the SS.

Those 2 states should each have at least a state-owned fishing company with dozens of trawlers going out to fish in the High seas.

They should have school for water sports where their indigenes can learn and compete internationally.

Instead, they elect idiots like Udu, Okowa, Seriake and Timipre to lead them. Small Akwa Ibom of yesterday has left those idiots behind.
You call the governors idiots but look at your recommendation in bold.
Does it make sense to you?

Oil will soon become like coal!it is better you exchange everything with China for infastructural development ,because it will become useless in a quarter century.after oil,it's customs that generates the most money,we have Nimasa, you pay coporate tax once you have a company, you pay educational tax,you pay technology tax,you pay airport tax,you pay consumption tax, excerice duty for companies, import duties when you bring in goods.so many taxes.

What are your governors doing with your money?
I wonder what the oil money has done for other states since 1960. What have our leaders been doing with the oil money? Hmm? Do you know?

Let me tell you this. What you call a constitution is a misnormal. What you're calling constitution is the constitution promulgation decree number 2 of 1999. It was drafted by the military guys and signed alone by General Abdulsalami Abubakar

You mean “misnomer”? But so what?!

The states were created and promulgated by military decree, are they illegal or a misnomer? Many of our universities (UNIBEN, UNIPORT, UNIMAID, BUK, UNIJOS, etc.) were promulgated by military decree, are they illegal and a misnomer and should we give our degrees back and/or employers stop recognizing them? Many institutions of government (NAFDAC, Standards Organization of Nigeria, Nigeria Communications Commission, etc.) were created and promulgated by military decree, are they illegal and a misnomer, and should we not use the GSM services approved by NCC or refuse to recognize the fake/illegal drugs identified by NAFDAC?

Nigerians can elect to be prisoners of our past or do something about our present circumstances and/or our futures. Personally, I choose the latter and accordingly, like I previous said, if Nigerians want to change/create/dissolve LGAs (or the manner thereto) change the Constitution.

Do I have to break it down into your native language before you understand? I'm sure you don't know what a trawler is. All you know is 'oyel' but lack knowledge of harnessing the wealth of the seas.

Trawlers are for deep sea fishing where small boats and canoes cannot reach. The catches can be frozen and moved across Nigeria and sold for billions of Naira.

The beautiful thing? Niger Delta indigenes would be employed in this project for shipping, operating the trawlers, sorting and processing catches, etc.

What makes the idea bad?you don't do expolration of the oil!you don't refine the oil or own refineries, you don't ship the oil or have your own oil ship tankers, you don't determine the price and you don't have control on the price.foreigners do everything.so this idea of diversitying the economy ,akwa ibok now has ibom air and building a sea port

A new report by the Economic Confidential has disclosed that the federal government, 36 states and the 774 local government councils in Nigeria shared a total sum of N8 trillion from the Federation Account in 2018 in spite of the shut-ins in several oil installations during the period.
The allocations were made after the monthly meetings of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in 2018.
The current sources of revenue flow into the Federation Account are revenue collected by agencies of the federal government with little or no contributions from states and local government councils.
While the federal government and its agencies under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari received a total sum of N3.48 trillion, the other tiers, states and local government councils, shared a total sum of N4.5 trillion in 2018. Meanwhile, in 2017 the federal government and its agencies had received N2.5 trillion while the other tiers of government shared N3.3 trillion.
In its annual detailed investigative report with a table of figures, the Economic Confidential disclosed that among the state recipients, Delta is ranked first as the highest recipient of gross allocation with a total sum of N285 billion in the twelve months of 2018.

It is followed by Akwa State N272bn, Lagos N260bn, Rivers N237bn and Bayelsa N192bn. The five states cornered over a quarter (25 per cent) of the total allocation for the states and local government councils in Nigeria in 2018.
Among the 10 highest recipients from the Federation Account in 2018 included Kano State which got N183bn, Katsina N138bn, Oyo N131bn And Kaduna N131bn

The report further disclosed that Edo and Ondo, which are oil-producing states, got N112bn and N108bn respectively while another state in the South-South, Cross River State, merely received N91bn

The Economic Confidential, Nigeria’s intelligence economic magazine, gathered that factors that influence allocations to states and local government councils from the Federation Account include: Population, Derivation, Landmass, Terrain, Revenue Effort, School Enrolments, Health Facilities, Water Supply and Equality of the beneficiaries.
The revenue generating agencies to the Federation Account are the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
The revenues come from Export Crude Sales, Domestic Crude Sales, LPG, NLNG, Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Company Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Import Duty, Excise Duty, Royalties, Gas Flared and miscellaneous oil revenue such as Oil Prospecting License and oil Mining Licence.
The Economic Confidential which is circulated at the monthly meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has been publishing the monthly FAAC figures since January 2007.
It also publishes the Annual States Viability Index (ASVI) which measures the likely survival of states on their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) without relying on federally collected revenues, especially from the Federation Account.

What do you mean by that? There are places in Ibom and Delta that I'd prefer to Lagos. There are less than 15 million people in Lagos, about 130 million others in their own states. Not every is interested in Lagos. These States you mentioned are prospering slowly... just like Lagos. And whether their Governors are eating the money or not, leave those states alone. It is their allocation. They produce oil for the whole country. Delta and Ibom are beautiful, that's what I mean
