BillgatesMaigad: You mean “misnomer”? But so what?! The states were created and promulgated by military decree, are they illegal or a misnomer? Many of our universities (UNIBEN, UNIPORT, UNIMAID, BUK, UNIJOS, etc.) were promulgated by military decree, are they illegal and a misnomer and should we give our degrees back and/or employers stop recognizing them? Many institutions of government (NAFDAC, Standards Organization of Nigeria, Nigeria Communications Commission, etc.) were created and promulgated by military decree, are they illegal and a misnomer, and should we not use the GSM services approved by NCC or refuse to recognize the fake/illegal drugs identified by NAFDAC? Nigerians can elect to be prisoners of our past or do something about our present circumstances and/or our futures. Personally, I choose the latter and accordingly, like I previous said, if Nigerians want to change/create/dissolve LGAs (or the manner thereto) change the Constitution. |

Xisnin: Do I have to break it down into your native language before you understand? I'm sure you don't know what a trawler is. All you know is 'oyel' but lack knowledge of harnessing the wealth of the seas. Trawlers are for deep sea fishing where small boats and canoes cannot reach. The catches can be frozen and moved across Nigeria and sold for billions of Naira. The beautiful thing? Niger Delta indigenes would be employed in this project for shipping, operating the trawlers, sorting and processing catches, etc. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Xisnin:What makes the idea bad?you don't do expolration of the oil!you don't refine the oil or own refineries, you don't ship the oil or have your own oil ship tankers, you don't determine the price and you don't have control on the price.foreigners do everything.so this idea of diversitying the economy ,akwa ibok now has ibom air and building a sea port |

tesppidd:What do you mean by that? There are places in Ibom and Delta that I'd prefer to Lagos. There are less than 15 million people in Lagos, about 130 million others in their own states. Not every is interested in Lagos. These States you mentioned are prospering slowly... just like Lagos. And whether their Governors are eating the money or not, leave those states alone. It is their allocation. They produce oil for the whole country. Delta and Ibom are beautiful, that's what I mean 2 Likes |
