I have been feeling sick ever since i had sex with my girlfriend, so i went for a test today only to find out she's infected me with HIV. This is someone i trusted with everything. I've learned my lesson the hard way. My life is ruined right now, I've cried my eyes out and suicide is the only thing coming to my mind now. I'll be visiting the doc today cos I've started treatment since 2weeks now. No body knows cos am still living my normal life although the first few days were depressing owing to the fact that am the only one in the university out of my family and currently on a good grade (4.2) aiming higher.


My own say is this... Start your treatment now. It'll be better with time.

I can't tell them Sir, I have disappointed them already. What am i to tell them?? that the son they suffered for under the rain and sun to make sure he's a graduate and have a bright future has gotten HIV. No p... Went to the hospital today... Collected another two weeks appointment. I got the cd4+ test result and it's 214. (Normal should be above 200) .

Your own is better nah... You had sex, me I don't have a girlfriend not to talk of having sex . But you know, life must go on.

The hospital session was very tiring

Yea I started having itching sensation on my skin and whenever I scratch it, it swells and disappears in the evening. It started since last year. Sometimes I would sleep and wake up with a swollen lip.

I was treating it with Normal over-the-counter drugs, and it would start again once I stop taking them. I searched for different solution and even created a thread on this platform about my condition but still there was no solution.

After visiting the school clinic countless times with the same complaint, I was referred to the state hospital to see a dermatologist. I finally got to see one after many failed attempts(strikes, going late to the clinic, et al).

While waiting , some people came to us that they were doing HIV test , yen yen yen.. So I went to their stand and was even smiling in my church mind (Wetin concern me with HIV) . I was told to check back for the result.

So I finally saw the dermatologist, and I got the shocker of my life , this so called dermatologist told me am reacting to something in my environment and I should go and find out what that thing is. Like WTF? I was so angry and disappointed. Left the place in annoyance Sha and went back to the HIV stand to collect my result.

Got there, and those ones too were doing somehow, I started suspecting when one said I'll have to redo the test, this time it's gonna take place in their clinic. So I followed o. They sha took another blood sample.( Me was beginning to think whether they want to stylishly suck all my fresh blood )

Next thing was that I found myself sitting with the counselor where the scariest news of my life was broken to me *Sobs* That I have HIV *Sobs loudly* Lemme stop here

Did you run confirmatory tests?

You can't start taking drugs like that without finding out with tests especially since you're certain it wasn't sexually transmitted.

If confirmatory tests means going to another hospital to rerun the test, then I haven't o. But then those symptoms were as a result of the virus cause since I've started treatment, the swelling stuff has been minimal.

Guys, Run confirmatory tests in 2 different locations of reputable expertise before you conclude, and then come to a resolution to your fate.

But are you sure you didn't share any personal things with anyone? Do you have your own personal clipper? Not that this matters anymore but until she's tested you can't really be sure you got it from her.

lol MariaLavina clip per does not give hiv. the chances of the hiv virus remaiing alive in an exposed blood on the clipper is nill.what gives hiv is unprotected sex,unscreen blood transfusion,sharing blood during oath taking...in short anythin that involve sharin of blood. but if spill hiv blood on the table exposed the virus will die off.
