Hello guys I would be 24 in August. I really want to further my education more. I got my National Diploma in 2016 with Lower credit but I went to hustle instead of furthering more. Now I don't want to go to polytechnic, I want get my degree.

My plan is to go for Msc abroad after getting my degree. I am contemplating on 3 options now.

1. thinking of going to private university in Benin Rep (it's an accredited uni) because of their fast programme.

2. Or do DE to a university in Nigeria.

3. Or forget about getting degree..

Can I go for Masters in America or Europe with a Benin Rep degree? And which university can I go for DE with Lower credit in Nigeria (even a private uni?). Please I am getting depressed on this, I am regretting my late decision but I am the one sponsoring myself so hustle first.
Please I need a serious advice, this is my future..
Am I too old for all these?

Get into a university in Nigeria
Finish your first year
Ask for your transcript
Seek for bachelor degree admission in Germany...not difficult
Come to Germany, finish the Bsc and Latwr MSc if you so desire

Since you intend going abroad for your MSc, the best option is a DE into a federal university preferably a four-year program. Going to Benin Republic isn't a better option considering your MSc plans.

When you get admitted through DE, do your very best and if possible graduate with a first class. It will afford you opportunities for scholarships and its likes.

BTW, you're not old. Ayodele Dada graduated at the age of 29 and is currently a Knight-Hennessy scholar at Stanford University. Yet another reason why you should aim to finish with a first class.
Kindly tell us why benin republic is not a better because of his msc plan abroad

You can choose the benin republic route which works perfectly and you are sure to finish in time with good pricing. I went down that route too. I can help you out if you wish. And yes you can use the certificates for school outside Nigeria. I have coursemates that went to do their masters in Brazil, Uk among others.

How were you able to get an IT employment from a bank? I seriously love to do my IT in a bank but I heard that it's not possible because Banks don't take IT students... please can you advise me on how to go about it?
Re: Am I Too Old To Further My Education? by CandidNotes: 12:05pm On Apr 25, 2019
Too old ke?!? When there people in school even at 60? Trust me, even if you graduate at 30, there are some 30 year olds who graduated 6-8 years ago and haven't worked for a day; they are still job hunting... Time and chance happens to all. Do not be discouraged.

Check if the school you are considering in Benin, Nigeria or anywhere else is accredited (choose a couple of schools abroad, visit the immigration website of their country and you will usually find a link to the schools from around the world that they have on record as accredited) if your school of choice is, you are good to go.

this Op funny at 24 u are asking if u are too old to go back to school? Is it not your money that u are going to spend? Me that my age is times two of your age still want to go back to school.
You go to school to acquire more knowledge.

I like to sit down and listen to people impacting me with knowledge.

I don't think there is age limitation for knowledge

Only the dead is too old to start a race. I finished OND at 21years of age, did IT at 22 years of age for one year and applied for direct entry at 23 years of age, got admission at 24 years of age, got stuck in an industrial strike immediately I got the admission for one calendar year, I still graduated at 28 years of age, observed NYSC at 28/29 years of age. Today, I am a University Lecturer and PhD research student at 40 years of age. You can be whatever you want to be when there is life, health, strength and hope.

Your advice is very kind and good. We should also try to be realistic when advising/motivating people. Its almost impossible for a self-sponsored student to graduate with a first class. He even admitted he graduated with lower credit from the institution he went to because he was hustling then.

If your president got an honorary WAEC at 70+ and one president before him got a PhD from his own university at 70+ .... Oga you better go buy DE form

1. Buhari's WAEC attestation form is genuine.

When you write your exams, WAEC has records of your grades that it keeps....and that it can use when needed. If Buhari did not write the exams, the records would not have existed.

Also, the WAEC chairman would not try to do something illegal that would land him in jail later on.

Buhari has is WAEC. Atiku is a Nigerian...let's move on.

2.Obasanjo got his phd from NOUN...after fulfilling all the criterion necessary. And he got it long after he left power...so what's the problem?

Olodo! Too old at 24..
I graduated 11yrs ago but my friend and age mate was in 400L now.
Tell us what you wanted to study and also let us know the area of your course you wanted to master.
With your age, maturity and exposure, I m not expecting you graduate with less than 2:1.
At this age and time, you should know why you wanted to study a particular course.
Get done with Bsc before talking about masters or whatever.
