Based on religious tie with Nigeria, Saudi Arabia is coming to implement phase 2 Islamic agenda. Having succeeded in Having Arabic on our naira notes, Islamic bank, and Arabic as the motto of the Nigerian army. We are waiting and watching how terrorism will increase by their coming and more of kachoggi like killings.

Saudi Arabia has hinted on the possibility of establishing a refinery in Nigeria.

Minister of Energy Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid Al Falih dropped the hint during a meeting with Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu in Riyadh.

Kachikwu who affirmed the Saudi oil minister’s position said Nigeria was looking towards Saudi Arabia because of the country’s successes in the sector.
“We want to leverage on the huge success of Saudi government in terms of petroleum. Last year alone Saudi Aramco, an equivalent of NNPC made about $200 billion as profit.

“We have a lot of common ground, historical ties, and religious ties and there’s a need to move further. We cooperate a lot with one another in OPEC especially in the Ministry of Energy,” Kachikwu said.

He said Nigeria is already setting up a team to make the reasons for the visit a reality.

A statement from Nigeria’s oil ministry, Kachikwu had on Tuesday met with top executives of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran to crystallize ongoing discussions on collaborating with the Federal Government of Nigeria on investments in the oil and gas sector.

The minister was received by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, Amin H. Nasser and the top management of the conglomerate.

Kachikwu!!! Abeg tell them "thank you" from all of us and return home immediately. Nigeria does not need a new refinery at this time, Boko Haram is STILL FUNCTIONAL.
Re: Saudi Arabia To Build Refinery In Nigeria by Cargoed: 2:17pm On Apr 25, 2019
The post is misleading they are talking of establishing not building Saudi Aramco runs refinary not build.
So you mean the saudi's should now become NNPC.
There was a country

Stop arguing on everything.

If it is going to be built, it's going to be in the North.

BTW, if Nigerians do not patronize foreign goods and services, why are they popular?

Nobody force them down our throats, they make them attractive, trendy and sexy. Then use "freedom" to grease it down our throats to be known as "civilized".

What's wrong with foreign investment? That's what transformed Singapore which was either as poor as Nigeria in 1965 or even poorer into a super rich country today.

The best paying companies in Nigeria today are Western multinationals.

If a company makes sales of 1billiom and a profit of 150m and assume they repatriate all their profits, what of the N850m left? Most of that will stay in the country.

If foreigners are not keen on expanding operations in your country, it means your country is doing something wrong. It's an indictment on you and not them.
Am actually talking about domination of the markets..

Sadly 90% of Nigeria's revenue comes from poor oil producting states!

Buhari's globethroting yeilding positive results. I hope lulu hypermarkets comes in also to show Shoprite how things are done, and Islamic Banks that charges nothing for most transactions, and give intrest free loan, as oppose the criminal 28% our bank charges comes too.

Its time to show this greedy terrorist screaming Dunce how business is done without greed around GCC countries, that makes all of them rich and morally upright.

The same Dunce screaming terrorism would travel to muslim majority countries like Malaysia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, only to become cultist, drug dealers and Bank robbers.

SouthWest is open for business and we shall give out free lands, any country or religion is welcomed, wether its Catholic and Vatican, Isreali and Jews or The Saudi and muslims, who ever wants to invest is free, as we dont descriminate.

Does it really matter? Do you know Britain sold off all it's indigenous car manufacturers to foreign companies? Do you know that Heathrow is managed by a Spanish firm and Gatwick airport by a company part owned by a Nigerian whose name is Oginlesi? Did you know that the British Olympics was organised by an Australian?

If you want Nigerian firms to play a more prominent role, why not reduce lending rates below 10%?. Western multinationals borrow at less than 5% when local companies here borrow at between 20% and 30%. They are at a massive disadvantage. Many have crippled by this high rates.

We are trying our best. Innoson's vehicles are currently been used by government agencies. Dangote is currently building the biggest refinery in the world. We are trying, but we need investments. We are not there yet. There was no need for you to say we are cursed.

..so tell me despite this, USA is very close to Saudi Arabia and trump government so much loves them...there is no Arabic on the naira note, its called ajami..and it has been there before you were born ....same with your other insinuations...you have a bank and an account, has anyone forced you to do Islamic banking which is literally non-interest banking... Has anyone made you in any way through persuasion or intimidation not to go to church or worship in your own way. Has anyone forcibly tried to convert you to islam.... Who is Islamizing you, who has been islamized...let me ask you, do you see any wrong in christainization and why?..if you think through delusion that someone is trying to islamize you then do otherwise...moreover there are a lot of indigenous Christians in the core north through christainization...for my first point...why is USA who fights terrorism having so much romance with Saudi who you claim promotes terrorism ...why recently Israel has aligned itself more to Saudi against Iran, same as USA....just spend more time researching yourself than believing conspiracy theories that promotes your sentiments and bias

A standard refinery costs between 2bn to 10 bn US dollars.

Dangote , for example, is building his refinery at $12 billion

$300million might not make much difference.
