Yes it is okay.

godG:
Hi, folks. Quick question please: Is it OK if job reference letter states monthly salary instead of annual? Thank you.

Mm.

Your no 4 is a concern. If school certificate is his highest degree, he should confirm his eligibility before starting the process. Check page 1 for how to calculate eligibility.

Ohh i meant he has neco instead of waec. he has OND and Bsc which is two or more certificates. thanks all the same.

soo I'd like to share my testimony regarding IELTS.

Last year I registered for the exam in may, I looked up sample questions and videos for listening, reading and speaking but totally ignored writing because confidence and the fact that I lived and schooled in the UK for 7 years. I went into the exam hall with the mindset that its just english and i've never had problems reading, writing or speaking. when results came out, I was humbled. I had LRWS - 7.5, 7.5, 6, 8. worst part i didn't know about EOR then so I focused on work and finding money to retake the test again.

In december, I made up my mind to retake the test in March. I struggled to get the funds and this time i started practicing all aspects and reading day and night using Liz, ieltsonline and ielts advantage. I focused on writing because i felt that was problem area, of course it didn't help that all my friends had failed writing too. Exam day came (23rd march), I wrote like my life depended on it recalling every point i had made in regards to getting at least a 7 for writing.

April 6th, result came out LRWS - 8.5, 7.5, 6.5, 7.5. I was weak, I mean i thought i wrote enough to get a 7. I made up my mind to remark, waited a week and paid the fee. this morning, i woke up thinking where i would find money to retake IELTS again. my mind was just focusing on the fact that it took long to get result meant it won't be changed. Lo and behold, this afternoon, while making my hair i got an email, writing has been upgraded to 7.5. i'm over the moon.

Moral of the story: if you believe in yourself that you've put in the effort and still get marked down especially in speaking and writing, please apply for EOR ASAP. Be confident in your abilities.

Sorry for long story o, I'm just excited and i thought everyone should here my story and hopefully i can encourage someone. Both exams were written with MOD Lagos

Good evening everyone. Please, I need help. For those whose second degree was more than 1 year but less than 2, what did you input in the "total years of study" field? My Msc was 18 months & it says it has to be numerical. Kindly help a village girl mbok.

all those with PPR OR COPR as the case may be, please do not forget to get PTA ( personal travel allowance )from your bank. you are entitled to $3000-$4000 at official rate
also start booking your ticket(s) as well for cheaper fares. the closer the date, the less chances of one getting a fair price. All the airlines' stop-over are usually similar, as there are no direct flights to Ca from Nigeria yet.

Have you confirmed that banks give PTA for a one way ticket?

I am 28 years of age and already have my BSC and masters. All efforts to get a good paying job have been fruitless. So I'm thinking of migrating to Canada or any other good foreign country (USA I heard is kinda dificult)

Or should I apply through canadaian Express entry. I can get a good statement of account but what are my chances of getting a visa.

You stand a very good chance on the EE with your age and degree. Just visit Page 1 to understand more about the EE process.

I wanted to say BULL... but I take it back, this is a peaceful thread and we don't want controversy. I respect your opinion sincerely but

@bolded 1, if this was the attitude those answering questions, sharing their experiences in-depth, assisting with IELTS/NOC etc, have had, I do not think this thread will exist and thrive as it has. If we tell everyone here "google is your friend", I do not think you would be here, there is something more you seek (of course besides the fact that nairaland thread is on google).
Kai!! Very well said!! It couldn’t have been said any better. Thank youuu for this!!!

All these people whining about PPR script, just deal with it. They don't owe you anything. The way you complain is even quite off putting. You can't brow beat people into doing anything for you online. People are more likely to not post anything at all if this is the kind of response they get.
My fren, will you keep qwieet! Instead of you to bring positivity to the thread, you are there misyarning. Take your time oo...if you do not have anything nice to say, please do not say anything at all #wiseSaying

bouqounmie Criteria for PTA according to CBN

-The applicant should be 18 years or older.
-Be able to provide a valid Nigerian passport
-Have an active account with the bank that will be providing you allowance.
-Your journey must be more than 5 hours
-Your flight must originate from Nigeria
-The trip must occur within 14 days from the day of purchase of PTA/BTA
-You must have verifiable Bank Verification Number [BVN]
-Travellers are entitled to only $4,000 or its equivalent per quarter(3month)
However, some banks and their officials tend to violate the laid down criteria due to corruption.
what i would suggest is to call them out on social media. (twitter preferably) copy the "copyables " IF THEY FAIL TO PROVIDE YOU with your request.

so far you have the above listed criteria, no bank has any excuse not to give.

here are some of the excuses they give not to oblige you
- they only give current account holder
-ask you to provide tax clearance of x number of years
-say they are out of FX
-intentionally delay till the two weeks elapses.
-They would say they don't give to one way ticket travellers.

So please don't get it twisted. Let people share what they want to share. It's only on Nairaland i see this nonsense about PPR novels. Never on CanadaVisa Forums.
