Kenechill:

Alright thanks so much dear. Hope you don't mind me plenty questions. This information is priceless.
About the job, is it possible to get a part-time job that will keep body and soul going for €1000 a month? And are there any special application process or places people register for job updates, availability etc? And how heavy is tax?

Then for accommodation, is it best and cheaper to live in the outskirt like garching or freising and come to work Or school in Munich? My campus is in Munich

And please hope you don't mind if I contact you too when I get stuck? cheesy
Getting a job that pays that amount is possible, especially during the holidays. Get here first and you'll find out about tax and the rest.

As for job sites and registrations, there are some sites and in some cases, you only need to send an email but you also need a German address. I'll advise you take it one step at a time because even if you register now, you won't be able to work until you arrive here and also get your work permit, address and residence permit.

And yes, it is cheaper to get a house in Freising and in Garching since our semester tickets covers them, but you'll have to decide if the long travel distance (between 30 to 40 minutes or thereabout) would be an issue for you or not. Like I said earlier, one step at a time.

Good morning great people. I have been following this thread for quite a while and I have learnt so much from everyone through our selflessness on this great forum. God bless us all.
I really need help with booking an appointment at the embassy. I have tried a series of approaches suggested on the thread which includes sending email with my documents to the embassy, waking up at night with the hope of getting a date but all have been futile. Everytime I refresh the appointment booking page, I only see
The month but no dates underneath no matter how hard I try , refresh or reload. I really need to get this appointment booked as soon as possible so as to avoid stories that touches the heart as I have learnt that the visa processing time is long enough to make one suffer premature HBP grin grin grin. I got an AL for Msc SIA at Goettingen University this April to enrol not later than September 15. I would like to connect with others who got the same AL so we could help each other, share ideas, and be a guide to others on the platform too. So please I need suggestions and ideas as time dey run very very fast. Thank to everyone

You can, as long as you haven't enrolled in the school. However, always consider others so that you don't stop many others from getting admission. Each admission given to one, is a rejection to another.

I don’t understand the second part of this advice.. consider others, how? By not applying or what, my advice is if you have the resources to apply to even up to 50 schools you better do..it’s better to have options than wait for one school

He meant, it is wise to reject some admission offer(s) from school(s) ,so that the school can give your slot ASAP to another student who is on the waiting list. Than accepting the offer and at the end not showing up for the programme.

Your TOEFL score is low
But go to daad.de you would get what u need
When u click on the school on daad, check language requirement you would see the English minimum requirement

June is showing on the online portal for visa booking and there are no dates in June. Has June been booked out already? This naija sha undecided

Or do you guys feel people at the consulate purposely don’t release enough dates for Nigerians for one reason or the other. Cause I’m second guessing if people are actually hoarding appointment dates
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Fabcol(m): 10:43am On Apr 27, 2019

The Naija factor always comes into play... some people without admissions and are not sure if admissions decision will be made by June will book Visa appointments and cancel later... meaning those who already have will get a much farther date ... Reason why they start using the email booking method.... We keep repeating the same mistake... It's not a competition....

Same thing on my mind. But could it be that fast? Like I no say boys no Dey smile butttt. It just came out not more than 2-3 days and naija don already out-book am. Nawa. It’s just something I noticed and I’m concerned. We shouldn’t make these things hard for our brothers. Anyways Anyone in Abuja should use Email booking method, stated the format in an earlier page. And Lagos interviewees , God is your strength. Shalom

I will advise you to be fast about this school and also apply to other related courses. Your chances of getting the admission is high due to the fact that they received not so much applications because of fees and application processes. The application processes is in two ways. You will need to first apply to Konstanz in BW and send your certified documents to them for verification, the result of this verification will be sent back to you in hard copy form(you will not get the soft copy). This result is what you will use to now apply to Ulm within the application timeline. Shalom

Every one. I hope am safe too. I have submitted my documents online and I have also sent the certified copies to uniassist via DHL.

What's bothering me now is the fact that I haven't pick a course of study I don't know if I have miss a step or Is it after my documents has been reviewed by uniassist, that I will be able to choice from the list of courses been offered by the school? Thanks in anticipation guys.

Go to the school website and apply as many courses as you want; only this VPD is enough for all the courses. You will have to print the application confirmation and send it to them as a simple copy. The vpd cam also be sent to them later by Email. The school has very high acceptance rate but the resumption deadline of Nov. 14th can not be extended in any way. Best of luck and shalom.

This is an hypocritical topic on this street.. people are doing it every damn time. My advice is to be nice and consider others but remember you first. If you are expecting admission and confident you should get that admission, please contact the school and ask when the admission results should be out (e.g. Jan 1), you can add two more weeks to the said date (e.g. Jan 15) then book appointment beforehand. In case you don’t have admission you can cancel a week before. Embassy don’t reply appointments with email sometimes. Do you know how it feels to have a late AL and BA and can’t get appointment, it happened to me this outgoing summer, it’s not a nice feeling at all.

Please apart from Goethe institute, in VI is there any other accredited institute with a cheaper fee.

Goethe seems expensive for my budget. Planning on enrolling for German language class around September.

Danke

The blame should not be on the embassy.
There are always a particular number of spaces alocated for a day and when it comes up at 11:00pm people book it till its runs out....you are not the only one booking ooo that why it goes up fast.

Another thing because booking is free of charge it will be a bad idea for the embassy to leave all the spaces in a month available, this will to a long extent attract more misuse of the booking platform than what we are already withnessing(by people booking dates b4 admission comes out)....the only way this can be sovled is if we are meant to pay visa fee before we can book for interview like that of US embassy and if they do that we all will not be happy.

So let’s appreciate them atleast we dont have to pay before we can book for interview.
