Hello house good afternoon.
I have a sibling who wants to migrate to Canada. She has just bachelors in history and diplomacy studies and she is a fashion designer (a tailor). Please what is the best route for her to migrate to Canada? Is there any province that has demand for tailors?

Should she get her masters first?

She attended college of education but left in penultimate year, so no degree was awarded. She also did a pre degree program.
If she is willing to do a recognized certification or even a PGD, she can claim two or more degrees and migrate under FSW with her tailor job provided she can provide the necessary documents. All the best!

On this NOC matter, abeg make una help me check am, one cannot be too careful. I believe NOC 4112 is the appropriate one. Here's my JD

ii. Provision of legal advisory services to individuals, corporations and institutions of State.
iii. Preparation of legal documentation including court briefs, claims (litigation and arbitration), contracts and legal opinions.
iv. Conducting research on knotty and contemporary questions of law.
v. Administrative functions relating to client and case management.
vi. Client interviews.
vii. Alternative dispute resolution and contract negotiation.

NOC 4112 contains the following:

Advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law
Research legal precedents and gather evidence
Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards (lawyers only)
Draw up legal documents such as real estate transactions, wills, divorces and contracts, and prepare statements of legal opinions
Negotiate settlements of civil disputes (lawyers only)
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
May act as mediator, conciliator or arbitrator

If a JD can be over-appropriate, this one is.

Bonne chance.

Nobody has used one semester evaluation from WES to claim two or more certificates. You attempt this, your application gets rejected as your CRS scores will be re-calculated. If WES does not evaluate whatever certificate as a one year college certificate, begin to look elsewhere.

bouqounmie Criteria for PTA according to CBN

-The applicant should be 18 years or older.
-Be able to provide a valid Nigerian passport
-Have an active account with the bank that will be providing you allowance.
-Your journey must be more than 5 hours
-Your flight must originate from Nigeria
-The trip must occur within 14 days from the day of purchase of PTA/BTA
-You must have verifiable Bank Verification Number [BVN]
-Travellers are entitled to only $4,000 or its equivalent per quarter(3month)
However, some banks and their officials tend to violate the laid down criteria due to corruption.
what i would suggest is to call them out on social media. (twitter preferably) copy the "copyables " IF THEY FAIL TO PROVIDE YOU with your request.

so far you have the above listed criteria, no bank has any excuse not to give.

here are some of the excuses they give not to oblige you
- they only give current account holder
-ask you to provide tax clearance of x number of years
-say they are out of FX
-intentionally delay till the two weeks elapses.
-They would say they don't give to one way ticket travellers.

We had this argument before on this forum and the conclusion is that they dont give anyone with a one way ticket.

If there is an exception pls let me know.

The credentials do not have to be in any specific other. You should be fine.

Evening good people,

For NOC 'A- 217' - I've got 2 years experience (January 2014 - February 2016)
For NOC 'O-0213' - I've got 14 months experience (February 2018 - Till Date)

Considering the fact that the cumulative years of experience exist in different NOC and there is a two years gap, Can I claim points for "3 Years or More' ?

Thanks.

No I have not.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by Stencil: 8:20pm On Apr 27, 2019
You sure can. Gaps do not matter as long as the job was in a valid NOC (O,A,B) and Paid.

soo I'd like to share my testimony regarding IELTS.

Last year I registered for the exam in may, I looked up sample questions and videos for listening, reading and speaking but totally ignored writing because confidence and the fact that I lived and schooled in the UK for 7 years. I went into the exam hall with the mindset that its just english and i've never had problems reading, writing or speaking. when results came out, I was humbled. I had LRWS - 7.5, 7.5, 6, 8. worst part i didn't know about EOR then so I focused on work and finding money to retake the test again.

In december, I made up my mind to retake the test in March. I struggled to get the funds and this time i started practicing all aspects and reading day and night using Liz, ieltsonline and ielts advantage. I focused on writing because i felt that was problem area, of course it didn't help that all my friends had failed writing too. Exam day came (23rd march), I wrote like my life depended on it recalling every point i had made in regards to getting at least a 7 for writing.

April 6th, result came out LRWS - 8.5, 7.5, 6.5, 7.5. I was weak, I mean i thought i wrote enough to get a 7. I made up my mind to remark, waited a week and paid the fee. this morning, i woke up thinking where i would find money to retake IELTS again. my mind was just focusing on the fact that it took long to get result meant it won't be changed. Lo and behold, this afternoon, while making my hair i got an email, writing has been upgraded to 7.5. i'm over the moon.

Moral of the story: if you believe in yourself that you've put in the effort and still get marked down especially in speaking and writing, please apply for EOR ASAP. Be confident in your abilities.

Sorry for long story o, I'm just excited and i thought everyone should here my story and hopefully i can encourage someone. Both exams were written with MOD Lagos

Please help, I still don't get it. Can I start my certificate evaluation first , or I have to take the exam first?
If I can start with the evaluation, do I create a profile with Wes to get my ID number or visit my uni to send to Wes? Help a sister please
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by Stencil: 8:55pm On Apr 27, 2019
You can do it in any order you want. BUT It is recommended to start ECA as soon as possible as the evaluation take ages.

The school sends documents to WES. Kindly check Page one for more details on this smiley

It is left to you to decide, you can proceed either ways and both can run concurrently. However, due to the length of time required in evaluating your credentials, it is better to start with that. You have to pay WES before you can get your number, this is the number you will put in all your correspondence with WES, in requesting your institution and WAEC/NECO to send your credentials to WES.

Chai, congratulations dear! I tap into this testimony as I am currently waiting for the outcome of my own EOR, scored 6.5 in writing, like this I don't even have the mental strength to write the exam again, as I prepared so well before I wrote this one. I sincerely pray that writing gets upgraded.

Good day all,

Please my seniors in the house i need help. I am post ITA and hope to share my PPR story soon. I have a concern. I was once refused visa to the UK sometime in 2013 and have since been to the UK a couple of times after that. But the issue is i can't seem to find the visa refusal letter. I have seached everywhere for it. And i noticed that they always asked for it via ADR. Pls what can i do i? I just want to be prepared just incase they eventually ask for it.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by Mstomie: 9:59pm On Apr 27, 2019
My sister did her's recently after receiving ITA. You would need to reach out to the Indian embassy via call or email telling them that you need a police report and they will schedule a day for you to come in.

Her police report took about a month and 2 weeks to come through , so you might want to start your process ASAP
