The lawlessness in Nigeria and those that are suppose to put people through are those reaping we the citizens off our hard earned money, even when we know the country is so hard.
On the 26th of April, 2019 I got really reaped off by customs in a bush after ore and I want Justice for this and I am backing this with evidence, I happen to be a car dealer in which I got a client who bought a Mercedes Benz Glk 350 directly from the U.S and wanted me to bring it down to Benin for him since he trusted me to do a nice job, I got to ore at around 11am and had a stop over for a meal then 30mins from 11am I continued my journey, then I met customs on a long queue and I obeyed there stop to check custom papers in which the car has comprehensive duty on the customs duty, after checking and it been Mercedes, they started saying the duty was so low and they will have to seize the car, cause it was under Valuated I was shocked and had a dialogue with them, then I noticed they were only stopping big vehicles and collecting 1000 each for small vehicles, the duty had around 700k on it, cause of the valuation of the car, then they told me to bring 200k as bribe I was shocked and I told the guy I couldn’t afford that, shortly a carmy 2012 was parked and that man paid 30k after a lot of appeal, later it was back to me and I was told to pay 100k last, that from the car they knew the owner was a big man, after a lot of talk they reduce to 80k or the car will be taken to there office at Ekiti then I called the owner to know what would happe, right there in that bush the guy gave me his direct account with zero Naira in it and could dial short code to check account balance then from Benin 50k was sent and immediately I sent 30k just immediately, how people who raise customs duty are still the ones who reaps dealers and end users there money and I will like this to be investigated for me, the custom mans name happens to be Shehu shehu musa wa and together with this is the payment evidences, this is why I keep saying the country can never get better, when we have all those who feels they have powers to make people cry, comptroller general rtd Col hammed Ali what is going on, can’t people travel without fears of customs on the way again.... help save the poor!!!
