JustMellow:

I have come across this case before, send an email and raise a webfom with your/the relevant application details from your full name as reflecting on your PP, UCI number, DoB, country with a title as URGENT - Passport Request After Submission for Paper Application. Then briefly lay your unrest in a brief write up as the message body.

You can as well try calling Nairobi VO on phone but they hardly respond to calls

BTW to the bolded, how did you go about it, was it an authenticated reference letter from your bank(for the 1yr statement ticket) or the regular bank statement? please clarify!
I sent them an email and have not gotten a reply. It’s been 12 days now since I got the message from cic. About the bank statement, it wasn’t the regular one. It’s a different method of generating a statement from bank in which the statement is going to be uploaded to their server, where you are going to be given a ticket number and password. That’s only what they wanted. The password and the I.d will be used to access your statement from their server. Thank you for your concern, what do you think I should do now

URGENT PLEASE!!
Good day the good people in the house, please I need your honest response to help me advice a friend properly. A friend of mine wants to go fmaster's degree in Canada, currently she has a PGD & a master's degree in the same discipline from the same school but wants to go to Canada for a second master's in a related discipline. Now the challenge is that she is planning to submit the PGD certificate as her highest qualification in the application for a TRV to avoid the VO raising unnecessary red flag by wondering why she is going for a second master's degree instead of a PhD. So please I need to advice her on this, is it OK for her to be silent on the master's degree qualification and state her PGD certificate in a bid to avoid doubt on her purpose of travel?

Express entry is your friend's answer. https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

Defer admission and notify the school on the delay concerning your trv application.

It depends on the University actually. My application status says "The Faculty of Graduate Studies has received sufficient documents to begin an evaluation of your application. You will be notified as soon as possible once the review has been completed." I just chose two supervisors in my field when I applied, they did not ask me to contact them first.
marcus267:
For an Msc thesis based you'll need to get a supervisor first else they'll leave ur application pending. If u can't do that, email the graduate study admin for a switch to course based.

I am so so grateful to God, don't even know where to start from. My approval is a miracle o. I never knew about this forum until 3 weeks after applying, whoops!! And when I started reading posts here I was so scared that I messed up my application, because I felt my documents I submitted wasn't complete, like affidavits of sponsor, certificates, and what made me scared the most was my sponsor..I used a third party sponsor, I don't even know the person, he just allowed me to use his SOA (but he was a kind man tho. I approached him that day and gave Me his SOA the next day) and my parent weren't financially buoyant at all.. I just used what I saw on Google and CIC website to apply o.
So when I started reading post here about the nairobi guys, home ties, third party sponsor...I was so damn scared , I lot hope already, I was just waiting for a refusal sef so I can reapply better and in peace, because the tension ehh no be here o.
A big thank you to @ Qudkom @ makano for your advice. @Dmerciful my personal VO ,i worried him as if he was the VO handling my application o..lol, he advised me to send another SOA (mine and my elder brother)via web form and mail to them even after getting biometric correspondence mail. thanks for your support and prayers only God can repay you.
Above all i thank God almighty for his favour and grace. I fasted and prayed earnestly, and God almighty manifested .
Thanks to everyone on this platform and to all the hopefuls, God will show his favour on your application. Amen.
You are next to testify.

Hi guys, I applied for an MSc degree at the University of Calgary since February and I'm still waiting for an admission decision. Is there anyone here that also applied for Fall 2019 at the Uni of Calgary? (I applied for an MSc Thesis & I'd be concluding my BSc by next month in the UK)

We are on the same shoe bro. I have applied since November 2018 for Winter 2020. They said the Supervisor I chose dont want to work with me and my application is OPEN to all faculty to review.
Still yet, No news.

Its very right to do ur upfront medicals after submitting ur app.. And to the submission, the clinic will submit ur result to CIC, and u can as well upload the slip the clinic gave to you on ur medical day through the webform.. FYI the clinic wont give u ur medical result, they will only give u a slip confirming u have done ur upfront medicals.. Peace
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Stonecoldsteve: 5:38pm On Apr 29, 2019
The key to unlocking graduate admissions after satisfying all entry requirements in Canada is the acceptance from a supervisor. No consent from a supervisor, no party. Forget those things you see on their website. Your application will remain pending even after satisfying eligibility requirements until a supervisor picks you.

Canadian schools have a very low lecturer/student ratio and so postgraduate schools usually wait till a student is paired with a supervisor before issuing offers. My advice to you will be to call or email the secretary to the PG school and find out the status of your application. If none of the supervisors you chose have accepted you, you will need to mail them to find out if they are currently accepting students. If the aren't, you will need to either find another supervisor, switch to a course based MSc. or seek admission in another Canadian institution.

I told her the same thing but she said she doesn't want to start wasting money on English language test in attempt to achieve the points required, and then start waiting in pool for months. Though she said that her friend studying PhD in Canada advised her that coming through study permit is the best way to migrate because many people with the EE Visa still find it difficult to secure a professional well paid jobs due to the lack of a Canadian qualification. The guy told her that employers value job applicants with Canadian certificate more and pay them high.

You should get an email from them. Otherwise, check other mails they have sent to you, send a mail to those email. Title the email urgent and politely and clearly state your condition. I sent you a PM. Please act fast.

Stanley5050:
Good morning, pls guru in the house I have a problem here. I submitted my visa application via paper which I provided all the necessary documents including my valid passport on the October 9th 2018, in which I got a response on the December 3rd 2018 demanding a one year bank statement ticket. I provided and sent the necessary documents demanded via email on December 17th 2018. After then, I linked my paper application to an online account (gckey) where I can view the status of my application. I got a response on the April 16th 2019 which I was approved and my valid passport was requested by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. After I got the message, I tried tracking my application through Visa Facilitation Services (VFS global) but my document hasn’t been dispatched, which my application is still under processing according to them.
My problem is that I did my application via paper, where I submitted all my documents at the Canadian embassy in Lagos which my valid passport was submitted also. And they still requested for my passport, maybe thinking I submitted online. Any suggestions will help please. What I’m I to do.

To an extent, you are very right but then EE looks good because you pay less in tuition and comes with some benefits as well as in health and the rest.

There is job in Canada and at the same time there is no job. They value their certificates more in job hunting but that doesn’t mean pple without their certificates don’t get job.

I know of someone who had his masters in Canada but after school, he didn’t apply to some jobs with his masters but then he has varsly experienced and he applied with Nigerian BSC and still got job offers.

If her mind goes with studies then let her calm down plan properly with what she’s gonna submit to the embassy and make sure it tally’s with IRCC requirements and I believe she will get it. That’s if she believes.

Nothing is difficult about Study permit, If you do it right with God’s guidance.

Send one email to ALL the offices - Lagos, London and Nairobi, using a BCC - blind copying. The reply should come faster. Subject should always be 'URGENT, application number, UCI'. Say you've bought your flight ticket, include a photograph/copy of the ticket in the email.

Thanks a lot, I will still talk to her, though she is thinking that applying through study would make it easy for her to migrate and bring her family afterwards. She said that her spouse is jobless for now and may likely not pass the required English language test in one sitting if she goes with the EE process, thereby causing her to keep paying for the test over and over again in order to achieve a good point.

Hi Guys, thanks for this great platform; its really helpful.

I just acquired a land to serve as a home tie and I was given only deed of agreement prepared by a lawyer and no form of land title; so am asking, is it enough to prove am the rightful owner of the land? or should I go ahead to process the C of O but the challenge its, it takes a long time to get the C of O;

Please I will accept contributions of the kind of documents to present to embassy for a landed property.

Thanks

Hello Justwise, noted tho.. But if u have been going through ma posts, I have never talked to someone sending me a message apart from posts related to the CIC Phone numbers, and the reason why I said May/June/July applicants should pm me is cos where I got the numbers, I was told its strictly for Applicants with application above 7 months thats why I dont want to make it public here cos am sure even someone that applied for the study permit yesterday will wanna call the numbers.. So don't think am telling peeps to pm me for the purpose of personal gain. Peace

Defer ur admission to the next Resumption date and notify the school about the delay of ur Study permit.. Also send like 5 emails per day to all the Offices i.e London, Lagos, Kenya, Ghana e.t.c explaining ur predicament and make ur Subject VERY URGENT. Do it through out this week and lets see what comes out of it, also in addition send mails to the MP in charge of ur province(where ur school is located), u can google this tho. Good luck.. Makano you are a nice person.
One of my worry is that the school refused to defer my admission again since I have done that before.
Also I don't have contact e-mail of London, Lagos, Kenya, and Ghana
