I was in dentistry there before. UNN also accepts 2.2 in any basic medical or biological science course for Medicine too. However, the candidate has to score up to 320 or above in its post-DE (similar to post-utme). Even if you graduated with 2.1 and scored low in its post-DE, while a 2.2 degree holder scored high, UNN will offer admission to the 2.2 degree holder first.
.

Where are you now bro?

Fight for dentistry with your life bro... The cutoff is not up to 300 as at now in my school, last years cut off was 294-297 or so, so u have the chance before buhari release sense to nigerians the nxt 4yrs.

Hold ur physio tight anyway, it is a nice course too buh then, study for jamb to score high regardless.

Dentistry is like the engineering in the branch of medicine grin
Wen u see me rock my p-cap, jean and my pierced ear, u will concur... The art is it.. So, welcome in advance. (dont plan to come and dress spiro-coco, spiro-coco dressing is for our colleagues in medicine grin, i see them laughing. in this field. We drill only.)

Good evening all.

you can try udusok or Atbu with that wasted score of urs. you will definitely get admission. I got admission in Atbu 2018/19 fresh with 281 to study medicine but I am from a catchment area.

Please, I want you to have all your evidence before putting it on table that once you are a Muslim, you are admitted.

I'm now writing about Medicine and Surgery in Unilorin, most classes have many Christians compare to Muslims. Do the survey yourself and apply it to many departments like that in Unilorin.

All these Arguments people like you bring up has no basis. Unilorin admits more Christians
It's really annoying when some people say categorically, what they have no knowledge of.

Population of Christian medical and nursing students far outweigh that of Muslims despite being in a city commonly seen as an Islamic city (this is another fallacy too)

To the best of my knowledge, I don't know of any public medical school that admits based on religious affiliation. Tribe plays more roles in some regions, rather than religion.

The phobia is perceived, rather than being real. We should be guided on what we say please.

The only thing I know about Unilorin is that there are no clear-cut guidelines for admission, just like unijos. Someone can score 88 and still end up with nothing...
But admitting based on religious affiliation, that's not true. It's just like saying that ABU and Sokoto only admits Muslims, because I know alot Christians studying medicine and other professional courses in those schools. ABU best graduating student from medicine last year or so, is an Igbo guy who is a Christian. Let's try not to make things look worse than the really are.

Exactly.

That's the only true thing about unilorin admission... Admission process, especially for mbbs, isn't well defined.
No matter your scores, you can't beat your chest that you would be admitted unlike some schools where some marks do not need to wait for admission list before resuming sef. lolll. cheesy

All in all, I think each school has its peculiarities, especially for mbbs admission. These peculiarities are what most admission seekers are oblivious of and that is why candidate A with 270 will be admitted unaided in a school, while candidate B with 300+ won't be looked twice in another school.

If you're very young, come to ATBU..
But if you're not, pls don't come, their calendar is super slow and their MBBS is still not strong, they just accredit it again this year after some years of inactivity...
The main thing is, their academic calendar is super slow, their current 100level students are yet to resule since November last year.. Catchment area is also a concern
