Good day everyone. I'm currently looking to buy a gen and my budget is about 65k for a 2.5kva. My friend recommended this (elepaq constant, the red colour), and I want to be sure I'm going to be getting value for money.

1. Is there anything I should know about this gen before getting it?

2. What should I watch out for so I won't buy a fake.

3. What questions should I ask the gen dealers so I'd get a full understanding of what I'm buying?

4. Is there another gen brand within range and kva you would recommend?

Thank you very much.

For those interested, I have a Sumec Firman Rugged Line RDX8910 Generator for sale.

Hi everyone,

Please advise on what the minimum rating (or model) of gen I'd need to carry this freezer + three or four white bulbs + two ceiling fans + laptop.

Will the TEC junior max work?

I'm grateful for your help.

Buy it fast if you can afford it. Reason you might not find review is cos it's not affordable by everyone, and the price will buy a bigger sumec, and other brands. But, it's durable, stronger, and original parts readily available.

You need to call an engineer to reduce the power, and adjust the carburetor, and it will run smoothly, and consume low fuel.

I started using it recently..... My gen started vibrating...... Now it broke down...... If you start it, it will make a noise vibrate and make a kpaaa sound and smoke will come out of the air filter and it will off

where you pour in oil .there is a screw right in the middle...loosen it and drain the oil or you can just open the tank and drain the oil. It depends on how frequently you use the gen but oil should be changed every 50 hours of usage

Hi everyone,

I decided to go with a higher-capacity gen to cater for additions down the line, but I'm torn between these two generators.

The SUMEC is slightly cheaper and has key start (irrelevant to me), but it's lower-rated (2.5KV compared to the TEC's 3KV).

My major concern is fuel consumption...

Have you used either one? Please advise.
