A V6 model if he really cares about POWER. The car is a beast and very reliable as well. I drive one.

I used one between 2010 and 2012. Good car.

2004 to 2009 Benz E 'll be a good one, rugged and performance is top notch. Maintenance is quite ok provided you have a good mechanic.

Guy be been dey ask for advice from His choice of cars listed people dey advice corolla, civic, Camry, rav 4. No be everybody like all this kind poverty low class economy cars abeg.

I swear some people no get sense especially comments on second page. The dude has stated what his choices are and what he doesn’t care about and here they are mentioning Corolla, Camry.

Don't buy Nigerian used for these brands of car you listed. If you really like any of these cars, save some more money and buy a foreign tokunbo benz. At least you will enjoy it for some time before it starts to develop faults and you can sell it out.

@ Op, i have read all the posts on this topic, starting with yours and i did observe one thing; People have offered you advice,even based on personal experiences, talked to you about issues of reliability, performance, maintenance and more, even named other options while giving you concrete reasons as to why you intial choice range of cars is probably not the best but seems you could care less. You asked for enlightenment and advice but you seem so resolute n unyeilding. it seems you only want someone to tell you to go ahead, somebody to justify your thoughts. Well, feel free not to take any opinion or advice here((Lord knows i wont offer you any) but if you need someone else to tell you your thoughts are right, then you should know you already have a doubt on your mind about that thought

That BMW 3 series will be my choice.

You dont believe there are cars at 260k miles that are more reliable than others at 100k miles.

There are cars that at 300k miles, an engine swap can take them to 500k if you hold on long enough. The problem is most people would upgrade before they use a single car for 200k miles.

I bought my car at 100k 2013 and clocked 200k 2019 2 weeks ago (see pix below), do you think i will still be driving this same car at 300k if i can afford a change? There are same cars like mine which are 100k but are not 50% as good as mine. There are others at 250k to 300k that are still better than mine. Am sure Piyke's car has received extensive oem parts than mine and i know he clocked 200k miles before mine, which in your opinion has more value at point of sale?

Go for 2003-07 Toyota Highlander, especially 4 plugs with 2 wheel drive.

What am saying is, reliability is relative. You have to put one car against another.

On reliability, Lexus vs Benz, Lexus wins

On performance, Lexus vs Benz, Benz wins

The fact that Lexus won reliability against Benz does not mean Benz is totally unreliable or that Lexus is totally non performing.

On reliability Benz vs BMW, i say Benz wins. So this means that reliability or performance is simply relative.

My point basically is that when you combine reliability and performance, you will have to compromise on each of them.

Among your list of Cars, BMW is the best performance car but the least reliable. Eliminating it from your list means you have compromised performance for reliability.

To get a car that is both reliable and performing, you rate the cars according to performance side by side as you rate the cars on reliability. Score them 5 as best to 1 as worst. Add the score on both list and the car with the highest points is your choice.

It sounds almost impossible to me.
Even regular Toks cars at 100k miles almost always already have some issues... either one thing or the other.... (even though it might be a relatively mild issue).
Not to now talk of a car at 300k miles. In almost perfect shape.

It's very possible infact i saw one of such for lag few month ago though the paint yaff fade a bit but first body. But I won't buy it. I will rather look for 1st body and paint, sound engine, perfect suspension, neat interior but below100k-120k max mileage. Though they can tamper with mileage but I will know.
