I just feel one kind after it all. Last year, those that were overdrilled seemed to get the scholarships. This year, everyone in my centre came out looking stressed and disoriented, including me. It was so bad I forgot to tell the panelists they smelt nice. So i dont even knw what to think again. I think those in Engineering have a higher chance of getting the scholarships because, because they seem to be fewer. There were only about 6 engineers in my centre, and about 25 environmental guys. I was scheduled for 12 but i met the panel at 4.30pm

It depends though, my location had more of engineering candidates than other categories.

U see ehn, Oyo is even one of those states that are very competitive. There are usually too many scholars there. Me I'm frm Lagos anyway. I pray we'll all be favored oo.

Hmm...you serious?? U mean they didn't even collected the volunteer award from you?

With the way it is right now, all the states are very competitive. And almost all the applicants who made it to interview stage have one thing or the other to offer. So it's tight across all the states, as one can't really tell who the real contenders are. But in the end, we'll be fine by God's grace...

Cannot tell! it was not done at my instance! I even delayed to know what next, they had to excuse me themselves to avail them the opportunity to do the grading stuff, so i would nt know what happened there after. they were so discreet and confidential that I became curious of the whole system.

Only 5 subjects will be taken which must include English and Mathematics.
I was really drilled as if I was going for PhD. How can they ask me what type of experiment are going to perform. Give us detail analysis. Hmm I fear, but the Grading is just based on certificates, qualification and publications. Award too is very necessary. Did last year and again this year. Having award is not a guarantee cos I have two international academic awards. It has to do with competitors in same state with you.

I learnt from a PTDF staff that it was only 40 persons per state that made it to the interview stage for MSc category and 30 persons per state for the PhD category. I wish all of us here all the best. I was also told the process is strictly merit based. That any other consideration is outside this particular process.

Wow. Even the press guys(NTA) at the Ibadan centre said the number of interviewees are about 357 and 177 for msc and phd respectively, the figures only applies to ibadan centre for the two weeks period though. Can't say for other centres, though there are six centres in all.

this thing is a scam to eat people's 1000 NGN, which kind of global scholarship with .com.ng domain.

It's likely 6 to 10 persons per State. The Oil Producing States normally have 2 persons more than the other States. I really need God's help.

That is exactly what I want to find out too. How many will be picked per state? And if it will be strictly merit based without stakeholder candidates. I did mine in Kaduna Center and it didn’t take me more than 10 minutes. My SOP was aligned to my field of practice, as in work related. And it appeared we were few that went for Environmental in the centre. Backing it up with prayer is the next line of action

6 to 10 is for MSc while PhD category is 3 to 5. All these figures are tentative.

From the previous year's experience, each country (UK/GER/FR) had 3-MSc&2Phd candidates. If they follow suit this year, it'll be like 15 Scholars per state.

Take along with you every piece of award or supporting evidences you have. You don't know the type of panelists you will meet. Odds may favour you and the ones you feel aren't gonna be accepted may even be considered. All the best bro..

Actually, the evidence is the main thing. I also had one that evidence was close, still they refused. I told them I was gonna show them newspaper evidences though. They still refused. They accept scholarships or cash awards but it must have certificates to show for it, talking based on my centre though, can't say for others. Don't worry, you'll be fine. Cheers!

Last year, UK MSc had 3 per state then 4 for Niger Delta states while FR/GER/China collectively had 3 per state then 4 for ND states.
This year is UK/FR/GER. should be a similar number or at best 4 per state, 5 for ND states.
