This man might probably have served diligently for many years and probably not so good with alcohol. He may just have tried going beyond his limit just this once and he is in a very harmless situation. So why make a video of it and build a wrong impression around it like he has committed a big crime.

The best thing to do was to assist the man get safely to his home. If we as Nigerians keep creating a negative impression on people just to condemn their acts or mistake, it won't lead us to progress. That mentality should be erased from us as individuals in other to set the progress in motion.

It's d same way a doctor can be removed from the medical register in sane countries for being drunk while on duty.

No doubt about that. The section of the armed forces act on drunkeness could even got him jailed. And I'm sure he cant escape this either.

What if some form of drugs had been inserted in his drinks without him knowing? You know some of these guys like free drinks.

But quickly hitting the social media with this is also evil. The owner of that shop whose voice could be identified in the video has not done well either.

The man will lose his job as she promised him and tomorrow same person will be complaining of notorious armed robbers terrorising their streets and homes. Thats what you get when you keep throwing men trained to handle arms to the streets without attempts at saving them from theirselves.

The maker of the video is wrong and ought to be sued by the Navy and even the man himself. Imagine the outrage that would have followed if it was the other way round. Men in uniform are citizens too and covered by the same rights civilians quickly brandish in their faces.

She knew Mohammed is from the warri naval as she claimed in the video. She could have gone there and I'm sure the naval authorities will surely deal with it appropriately. According to the armed forces act it is a punishable offence to be drunk wether on duty or not. It means even wherever you may be either in uniform or not.

And bringing it down to quota is evil, mischievous and tribalistic. All sections of Nigeria have their own 'Mohammed' in one of the uniformed services and the civil service. This will disappear when we start selecting based on merit.

But then Mohammed may have passed the screening tests at the point of entry and he may be going through some form of depression lately which the naval authority may not be aware of lately.

Subjecting him to such public ridicule is inhuman and a violation of his right to personal dignity. That guy needs our help not mockery.
