Nice. Did they aim at the wheels? wink

No they didn't, however the wheels have runflat inserts. This means that even if they get hit by multiple rounds, they can still move.

Nigerian Engineering

Nigerian Defence Industry

State of the art mine-clearing equipment, designed and manufactured by the Nigerian army vehicle manufacturing company.

This equipment can be attached to any vehicle, from MRAPs, BTRs, LAVs and Soft-Skin vehicles.

It comes with an electronic and manual operating mode.

The screenshot below shows it operating in a manual mode.

Nigerian built LAV shot at at pointblank range.

We can see that the ballistic glass of the Nigerian LAV maintained it's integrity despite been shot at very close range with an AK-47.

My personal favourite.

Nigerian army IPV-2

Just like the charboz M3 from Russia and it's steady development, the army's IPV is undergoing further improvement.

The latest variant is more of an SOV similar to the ICP's Reva FAV, Charboz M-4 etc. Unlike the Wolf Special Forces Vehicle launched by DHQ, it is not based of a Toyota. It has an independent hull.

The Nigerian army new IPV-2 would most likely look similar to this.

Same class as the M-6 from Russia.

why didnt they send SBS
I am sure they are too busy (and maybe too serious) attending a SF Contest while operating in at least 2 theatres simultaneously.

Competition.

Without competition, no part of an economy can properly grow.

I agree with you, but let the competition be between the private sector not the govt. Hope they wouldn't repeat igirigi.

New Nigerian Special Operations Vehicle

Render

From the below render, we can see the Special Forces Vehicle when completed would look really good.

Much larger than I thought.

GSU Recce CRT

Atleast now I understand the random uniform, its really just for camouflage for differnt companies e.g 'C' Company, 'D', G company which protects the president, etc

Story from the pics:

INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE MR HILARY N. MUTYAMBAI PROMOTES TWO RECCE OFFICERS ON MERIT (2019-04-30).
IG Mutyambai Promotes Two Recce Officers Injured During Dusit Attack from Police Constable To Corporals
.......
"I am one of you and have previously worked with you behind the scenes. I promise to support you as you undertake your delicate duties to save lives when called upon to do so. I will not forget you," he promised.
Before his appointment as the successor of retired IG Joseph Boinnet, Mutyambai was Deputy Director Counter-terrorism at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) where he is commended for recording great achievements.

Global Firepower website increased the number of amoured vehicles belonging to Kenya to 500 (previously it used to be around 250), and the number of helicopters to 80 which is about right. Yet on the other hand Sipri doesn't show any new deliveries of new vehicles.

Or is it that Sipri doesnt count deliveries if they were made locally Cause from looking at the pics of Kenya's IG visiting GSU HQ, I noticed the front end of an APC that the IG was inspecting on what looks like a vehicle made by a company in Kenya -(The company is Owned by a Dubai based parent Company i think)

Am ecstatic about it man!

I was about quoting you about it during the day but I am having issues with network.

Am really surprised that it even crossed the mind of NA, probably the IPV1 was beyond expectations.
Altogether the design looks very good, it looks like it will seat 5+1

Yeah, it's a pretty decent vehicle. Hopefully during Army Celebration or October 1st we can get to see the finished product.

Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Nobody: 8:42am On May 02, 2019
"The Army has acquired six T5-52, the operation being fully funded, which delivery is expected in late 2020, early 2021,” Col. Andre De Jager tells EDR On-Line, explaining that the battery will be used for doctrine evaluation, and underlining that most of the technologies involved were developed by Denel in close cooperation with the South African National Defence Force (SANDF). “However it will be logistically supported, therefore should the need arise the T5 could be deployed operationally."

European Defence Review

P.S yes i know this is old news, yet at least this article confirms it's indeed 6 T5s being delivered.....not 3 as previously thought.

Year At the end of the website I saw links to SA, Algeria, Namibia.. It's probably one of those dodgy companies that don't actually have a plant, they just bring parts and to do the final assembly and customisation in-country then pamper the the host country with the lable "made in ...." And probably get Tax breaks for it .
