My fellow mothers and mothers-to-be I need a little advice as I'm as confused as they come. I currently teach in a secondary school and earn a small pay. The workload is a bit much as I take three subjects.

On the other hand, I make children clothes and sometimes get a lot of orders. I currently have orders to make 23 clothes from different clients. However, most of these customers owe a lot.

Right now I combine both; sew when I get back home by 5pm and the stress is really much. My customers are complaining as I can't meet up. Some even came to collect back their fabrics. Now I'm thinking of leaving the teaching for the sewing but I'm a little scared. What if I don't get that constant flow of money (even though its little) like I do now when I leave.

I don't want to lose all my customers, but I'm just paralyzed by fear. My hubby is in support of me leaving to face my business, though.

Please all, your advice and suggestions on how to boost sale will be greatly appreciated.

I make all kinds children clothes, adult clothes, wedding gowns, beddings and interiors

Most private school jobs are slave masters. 3 subjects, lesson notes, form mistress etc. No time for personal engagement no joy and not even at that the take home is not much.

Focus on your business and see it flourish. Your craft is beautiful. Concerning your customers owing a lot, insist on collecting advance payment to enable you buy the sewing accessories before you start the work.

Leave that slave school teaching work and focus on your business. I repeat leave that slave work. You have an amzing talent which you really need to focus on. You will have more time to inculcate unique designs and meet up with your client timing. As a mama here said, collect advance payment before you collect any work and give a realistic time interval for collection that how business stay intact.

BA and BS
I welcomed my baby girl on the 23rd of April through elective CS. I had placenta previa which later moved. Also the gap between my last Cs and this one was less than 18 months so my doctor didn't want to take the risk.
I went to the hospital on Monday night. Early morning Tuesday at 5am I was taken to be prepared for the surgery. The nurse shaved me, checked my bp and heart rate and inserted the catheter. She also took baby's clothes and arranged them in one corner.
Surgery started at about 6:30. Baby was born 6:55am. I was awake through out and was even gisting with the doctors cos I was given spinal anaesthesia. Surgery ended at few minutes to 8. Can't remember cos they gave me one injection at the end that made everything to be hazy.
Was discharged on thursday. Baby, daddy, big sis and I are doing well. I give God all the glory for making me a mum again.
To all GTC mums, God will come through for you. To the waddling mamas especially my team May, God that brought you this far, will see you to the very end and bring you rejoicing. To my Cappo, God bless you ma.

Congrats mama. Welcome baby

My dear,if you put the energy you put in the school, into your personal business, you will be amazed how you will grow.
Let the customers pay initial deposit say 60 percent and be consistent, and sincere.
Get a school to be supplying school uniforms and accessories, good luck.

Hello mama welldone! That's a whole lot of work for you. Since you've weighed both options and the teaching is more stressful then concentrate on your skill and grow from there. Work at your own pace with passion and money will start flowing in.
Cos thing is if your costumers get value for their money, they will keep bringing referrals. Just be good at what you do cos d competition is real o
I started small, it wasn't really easy at first cos my issue was getting customers to trust me and buy, once that was established they kept coming back and referring others. I thank God you even have customers already, but you really need to stress on commitment fee before you start their work especially those that find it hard to pay after you've done the job. Make a plan: write out things you want to achieve in this skill for the remaining months of this year. I'll be glad to put you through online marketing if you're interested

Thanks a lot, mama. I've read the advice and will see about moving forward from here. Yes, I'm interested in the online marketing stuff, although I already know some things about it as that's my Hubby's field, but I could still learn a great deal.

Please lemme know how I can contact you. God bless and enlarge you.

The heaviness of pelvic region nkor? That one na next level. I will just be feeling severe pressure as if I go pee full bucket only for me to enter loo and 5 tablespoonful of piss will drop.

I wish that my next journey will be twins or triplets set so that I will close book and hang boots. Was it how our mamas carried too and birthed 7, 8, 9 and some even 10? sad shocked

I can't wait for LO to come forth ooo.
