Sir
Do you always buy reviews when ever you publish a new book?
Do I do it, is it right?

Buying reviews is against Amazons terms of service and it puts your account at risk. I don't recommend it.

There are multiple ways to get legitimate reviews e.g building an email list

It's easier for me to publish new books and get reviews because I build an audience in every niche i'm in.

HeliosHay, I noticed that a Nairalander I asked to format my book, reprinted it on Amazon. How possible is that?
I noticed that the person just reworded the description.
Well, I just realized that he's a Nigerian because he's English is not even strong enough.
The idiot may be reading this, but I don't care!
Nigerians are horrible creatures. embarassed
Please how do I get Amazon to investigate this case?
Thank you

Sorry about that. Just email KDP Support and explain the situation. Feel free to use the below script

Hi Support,

I want to report a copyright infringement. A person I contracted to format my book (ASIN - B07GHS88TJ) went behind my back and published the book on Amazon. I want the book taken down.

Here's a link to the book: https://www.amazon.com/ICO-WHITE-PAPER-WRITING-PERFECT-ebook/dp/B07GHS88TJ

Please, can you advise?

Kind regards

Do you use writers from Upwork or fiverr, have you used Nigerian writers before, what has been your experience.

I ve been writing by myself.

I mentioned earlier the book was published March 18...then I did a 3 day free promotion. You don't expect a book to start popping sales right out the gate (no optimization, zero reviews etc). You've got things to optimize first.

Mind you, this particular book is already closing in on $1000!

I suspect this book might go on to become a $5000+/month book. I'm still optimizing it.

Do you publish all your books with your Nigerian name or you have some books in other names.
Also, this very book is it from acx?

Prices Are Going Up In 8 days

Please note that the price of the mentorship will be increased to N150,000 on May 15, 2019 while the price of the Kindle Publishing Blueprint will go up to N30,000.

For those looking to get a copy of the book, you have 8 days to get it at the prevailing price of N20,000.

In the book, I discuss in detail all the strategies (about 12) I personally use in my publishing business - strategies that helped me scale up to $10,000 per month within 2 years and with less than 50 books.

In the book, you'll discover:

1. The correct way to do keyword research and publish books in niches that sell well
2. How to dominate niches that are profitable
3. How to maximize the royalties you earn from your Kindle and paperback book (every dollar of royalty counts)
4. How to increase the number of books you have without paying to get more books written (bundling is not the only way)
5. How to increase the customer lifetime value of my readers by selling to them over and over again - instead of once
6. How to maximize your earnings from page reads - I've earned over $4500 in 2 years from page reads alone
7. How to bypass the ACX restriction and publish audiobooks from Nigeria (and earn up to 40% royalty rates instead of the 25% you get when you publish via findawayvoices)
7. The writers I contract to write my own books (I give you access to them upon request)

and much, much more.

..I also provide support - you can also ask me questions regarding topics covered in the book that isn't clear to you.

The only difference between the book and the mentorship program is in the mentorship you have me guiding you step by step through the whole process. However, the video mentorship is just for ONE book. Once the Kindle and Paperback version of the book is live on Amazon, the video part of the mentorship ends but you have free non-video support for 6 months.

The mentorship package also includes details of how I publish audiobooks (every step of the process)

Price

Mentorship: N100,000 (will go up to N150,000 on May 15, 2019)
Kindle Publishing blueprint: N20,000 (will go up to N30,000 on May 15, 2019)

I've made more money from Publishing than I ever did working a full-time job. It has transformed my life and I believe this business opportunity is the gold rush of our time.

20-40 years from now, will you look back and say you were one of the few that made their fortune from self-publishing or will you be one of many that were mere spectators, people who stood by and watched as others realize their dreams?

John D Rockefeller made his fortune from Oil. Andrew Carnegie made his fortune from Steel...will you make your fortune from Publishing?

You have 8 days to make a decision.

Those that bought the book from me have access to me. They can leverage the support I provide and ask questions...that's something that can't be repackaged.

Self Publishing is an evolving beast. Most of the strategies that worked 6 years ago no longer work today. Likewise, the strategies that work today may not be that effective 6 years from today. You need to continually learn and keep up with the times. That means the real value of the book is in the access the owner has to me.

It's like when I purchase a course, the real value is not necessarily in the course itself but rather in the opportunity I have to join a community of like-minded entrepreneurs (via private Facebook groups) who network together and help each other achieve their goals. When you see your colleagues breaking records..you're motivated to do so.

Can a five thousand words book be of great content and sell well?
I need to start a book next month.

Please, can you tell me a niche I can write on to make some money so I could come to you for mentorship.
I understand the quickest way to success is to have a mentor but here, I need money to pay for the mentorship.
Get me one niche let me write on it then come back to you like that one leper.

Personally, I see 10,000 words as the minimum for a book. People need to feel like they got value for money..5000 words book on Amazon will most likely be a pamphlet when converted to paperback (less than 30 pages). Customers hate that..and you'll be inviting (avoidable) negative reviews.

It's also dependent on the niche you're in. If it's the kind of niche that promises to solve a very specific problem the customer has and you manage to solve that problem in the 5000 words book, then that might be fine. E.g If the book is about "How To Open A Paypal Account In Nigeria" and you help the customer achieve that objective in 5000 words then it's fine..they may not complain about the length of the book as long as they got the information they wanted.

In addition, if you format it right, the 5000 words book could go up to 50 pages or more.

With regards to revealing keywords that sell well, I already revealed 5 keywords in the Kindle Publishing Blueprint and people paid a lot of money to get that. I can't undercut them and reveal free keywords here.

Hey guys..MK82 and all...Please I have a question. How do I do keyword research for erotica books? I know keywords like STEPBROTHER and DADDY are hot, but I need more promising keywords in this genre. Thanks in advance.
Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by HeliosHay(m): 1:49pm On May 09, 2019
One of the mistakes I see beginners make is relying too much on one book.

I made the same mistake when I started, I remember publishing a book that made me more than $2000 in its first month. I started having dreams of making hundreds of thousands of dollars with this book - if only life was like that

The book later settled down to making $200-$500 per month and my overall earnings TANKED. It was scary stuff

Back then I was a bit naive and I wasn't well diversified (had about 8 books under my belt) and others weren't doing that great (they were very very average books).

I learned a hard lesson then...I had a shift in mindset.

I started treating this as a serious business instead of a side hubby.

I thought about companies like apple, samsung etc. Do they rely on one product for their continued performance? no. Infact, each year, they keep coming up with new upgrades in order to keep growing their market share and sustain their revenue growth.

I made a decision to start producing books EVERY MONTH....as opposed to when I felt like it.

Since I now had a book that made $1000+ per month, I knew I was onto something. All I had to do was replicate what works and keep the momentum going.

That's when my publishing income skyrocketed. I built a strong portfolio of assets where different books were contributing to the pot...as opposed to one single book doing all the work.

Learn from my mistakes. Diversify

This is a business...not some get rich quick scheme.

Even when I started back in 2016, I wasn't shy to invest as much as $200 into books because I knew I had over 70 years to make a return on my investment.

In this business, you get what you pay for.

I've once taken the easy way out and paid $40 for a book...guess what? that book ended up being a pile of crap. This has happened plenty of time I don't bother hiring cheap writers who haven't got a clue and who aren't invested in seeing you succeed.

Quality writers cost money and, if you have ambition of making thousands of dollars with your publishing business, what is $120?

You are building a brand...customers need to see you as the guy with the quality stuff. That's how you command a premium price.

If you manage to find a quality writer for cheap...kudos to you. But that's rare...Good writers know what they're worth.

Besides, if you do things right, you can make back your money within 3-4 months.

It's a decent amount to make. Online businesses have made it possible to earn in dollars and spend in Naira...its incredible. Because of the purchasing power of the dollar, you have a lot of money left over to invest and build wealth in Nigeria.

In America, that money (although nice) won't do THAT much because you're earning in dollars and also spending in dollars.

Can't reveal exactly what types of niches but i'm in 5/6 different niches...and I only do non-fiction publishing.

Some niches have a LOT of money in them..but they're ruthlessly competitive. You need top quality book, good positioning (unique value proposition, your angle etc.)..and skilled copyrighting/marketing skills to gain exposure and boost sales.

Some niches are more chilled...the slow and steady type..bringing in a few hundred dollars every month.

Others are very seasonal and erratic.

Each niche has its own peculiarities. over time you learn how to navigate them and what you need to do to be successful in them.

Do you publish all your books from one amazon account?
Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by HeliosHay(m): 6:55pm On May 13, 2019
Niching Down The Right Way

Today I want to demonstrate one of the key concepts you need to be successful as a publisher - niching down.

Let's assume that the keyword "backpain" or "back pain" is a profitable keyword. We've decided we want to publish a book under that keyword. Nice...what then?

While some publishers rush off to publish a book titled "Backpain - Your Beginners Guide to Backpain", the savvy publishers out there will dig deeper.

First of all, what do we know about this keyword?

When we run the keyword through KDP Rocket, we discover some more details about it.

1. It's not a very popular keyword (monthly search term is less than 100)
2. People who search that keyword use a longer version e.g. back pain exercises, back pain bible.
3. The extended versions of the keyword are arguably more profitable than the much shorter keyword "backpain"

...so we know that there's a more profitable interest in "back pain cure", "back pain exercises" etc.

However, we notice that back pain cure has only 355 competitors when compared to "back pain exercises" which has 1028, BUT more people search "back pain cure" each month!

Some publishers will immediately go with a book titled "back pain cure"

But...the truly elite publishers go for MORE...they always think "how can I get the best of both worlds?", they want exposure to these two keywords without leaving any out.

Personally, If I was publishing in this keyword, I would go for:

Back Pain Cure: 20 simple exercises that will help you relieve your back pain in 30 days

How many keywords do I have exposure to?

Let's see..

1. Back Pain
2. Back Pain Cure
3. Back Pain Exercises

What does your book title convey to the customer?

1. They know exactly what the book is all about (back pain)
2. They know exactly how many exercises you're showing them
3. They know the exercises won't be too complicated (you said its simple)
4. They know when they can expect to start seeing results if they follow through (you set a 30 days expectation)

This is an example of a compelling book title...coupled with a great book cover, description and price, you can expect this book to do well (if the keyword backpain is a profitable one)

You can then go to your ghostwriter and give them the title of the book, including the expectations the book has to meet.

If you want to take it a step further and differentiate yourself, you could niche down even further to "Back Pain Cure For Pregnant Women"

For more of this kind of analysis, get your copy of the Kindle publishing blueprint.
