You will do well to stop attacking people with abuses and I expect others not to attack you as well. You always state your facts based on your experience which is very good. Try to avoid calling people names and putting people in a bunch and abusing them.

Respect is reciprocal!

If you fall in the category of lazy and greedy, yes you will attack me.

I didn't mention anybody here, so if your conscience disturbing you, not my problem.

I've been reading everyone's opinion on strikes and all that. But here's my take on the issue

IT CANNOT WORK. THE DAY IT WORKS, ITS OVER FOR E-HAILING IN THIS COUNTRY

Let us look at it from the App companies view

1) They have so many cars on the platform. Bolt has over 2000 cars registered. The only they can supposedly keep all of them in business is to get more rider. Yes, MORE RIDERS. And how can that be achieved? Low fares grin

2) The primary reason (I stand to be corrected) why a large number of people use uber and bolt is because IT IS CHEAP. Forget comfort that we all shout. Gbagada to Ikeja is like #1000. Even a bike or Danfo won't charge that for a charter. Some of the riders you pick have cars in their compounds, yet they request you, and yoh think it's comfort? Nah grin I don't think so

Imagine Uber and Bolt increasing the fare. A lot of us here won't do 20 trips in a month. Look at your ride history. It's filled with trips from #500 to #1500. Increase the fare and see all those people disappear

We live in a Third World, where the gap between the rich and poor is wide, and where the percentage of low income earners are far more higher than we can imagine

Uber/Taxify can only survive here if they make the middle class and low income earners a priority.

The writeup summarizes what the situation very well. But if fares can't be increased, some other things can be done to improve the income of drivers like bonuses (with less difficult conditions) and reduction of commission to about 10-12%.

And after driving the whole of Lagos, going home with 20k a week is the ultimate for you right? People earn 100k monthly doing a fraction of the job you do as a driver and the money is not enough and now you're bragging and calling others lazy. E go soon tell for your body.

What the young man meant is , the minimum you can go home with in a week is 20k

That's the issue...you like fighting people maybe it's your nature and brings the best in you sha. Such motivates some people.

You obviously do not have the right temperament and attitude for a public forum. I would be foolish to advise the wisest man that you are.

All the best!

To make fair to all parties, uber fares should be in such a way that is 50% cheaper than local cabs ...that should have been a better deal .. So if regular cab charges for example 3k for trip, uber / bolt should charge 1500k ... that is still be good for both riders... because now you are paying half price ..with that deal I will be happy... with time things might adjust

Exactly

Less commissions, bonuses, incentives and welfare of drivers if they can

Increasing fares will make everyone lose out at the end

I was privileged to pick him today

We talked about a lot. From his tenure to his victory, the current situation of security in Nigeria. He even sat at the front with me..... Such humility

I also told him about our challenges and he promised to talk to Amaechi about it. I dropped him off somewhere at Ijora

God bless you Mr President cool

I do only Bolt and they don't have such stringent restrictions like Uber

People use it. But the model is the issue. A good number of models of those brands have been axed by Uber. So make sure the one you're using is accepted before you buy it

I eat in mama put, one plate of food is 300naira
I save 20k weekly.

Private driver earn 30k monthly, company driver that I know of that driver to kano, gombe, kogi and Eastern part of Nigeria on weekly basis earn 50k monthly, I was even advising the guy to come join Uber.

Most of you have aged in this job without achieving anything, that's why the laziness and greediness comes in play.

Ok.. I understand.
Let me just say this to you.

It will take you 5-10years to achieve what most of us have achieve.

Continue running your mouth. Pikin wey go loss, go loss

U will pay 2k then they’ll give u a temporal permit after some months u come get d original one. U will need to settle those police by the gate like N500 and the receptionist like N500 too. When u come get d original u will settle them again. In all u won’t spend up to 5k.

Guys,
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by klifeomg(m): 8:59am On May 13, 2019
Guys, brace up for more expensive uber rides, uber is going iPo and this means fares are likely to increase very soon.
This is good news for drivers as will surely favour the drivers and car owners. The riders will adjust to it. It is very common that we Nigerians like cheap thing.
But the sustainability of uber in Nigeria is tied to the harmony between the drivers and riders.
The Management must understand this!
I intend injecting a car into this business hence my research. Any good driver should send me a PM. I will reply with my nos.

Please House, as tomorrow is the deadline for payment for Bolt Shield.
Why is bolt shield not optional, why are are drivers and partners not challenging this act of exploitation.
If you want to insure your phones and personal belongings there are insurance companies that provide such coverage so why must Bolt shield be mandatory.
What is bolt biz if i decide not to insure my phone and if the shield also covers your health, there are hmo that are setup for such.
Since we drivers and partners are not bolt employees why the insistence of having a bolt shield, in which Bolt are the direct beneficiary.
Why is there a shield for bolt but none for uber?
