jesusson2020:I can see you are looking for attention which u have gotten, well I owe you no explanations. But if you must know no wife left me I rather was the one that ask her to leave. I am not the first and won't be the last but if you have sense you will know it's rather unwise to mock people with things like these, for you infor I have a wife. When I made that post that day I was joking, so save your Yeye advice. And I will say it again you, your father and all your family members are the ones that are frustrated. |

jesusson2020:Thank you so much for telling us not to mind you. God bless you sir, more grace to you. You work so much and earn so much, but you have all the time in the world to read all sections on Nairaland, really? ![]() And you have enough time to respond to all quotes and mention of you and anyone that writes against your sentiments. First of all, please change your moniker or create another account because a true "son of Jesus" or "Jesus's son" will not type in the manner that you do. I know you will come for my head, I'll be waiting. Oga dru23, maybe you could write on his behalf... |

jesusson2020:And so? Dig more, it's clear you're the one suffering from frustration and depression. Again it's you, your father and all your family members are all depressed and frustrated. |

izzou:Very sound write up but a tad flawed. India and Nigeria are very similar..the issues we face in this country are faced in india hence economists love to do comparative analysis with both countries Uber prices are cheap everywhere they establish. ,they thrive on comfortability and affordability but in Nigeria the fares are ridiculously cheap, so cheap that even some riders will pity drivers..I disagree that if fares are increased a bit rider will leave..alotta people take the trips not just because it's cheap but for convinence..personally I take it when I don't wanna drive not because of cost. Yes fares must be kept at a low rate to ensure more riders board their services but not ridiculous as it is now...its ridiculously low bro..uber/taxify r exploiting the desperation of the Nigerian youth dats all ![]() |

gobuchinny:Quick question: If the fares were increased, would you still consider taking it? Or would you drive? Ask yourself this question...The people who take uber to work, how were they going to that same work before uber came to Nigeria? Festac to VI is #2000 to #2300. Raise it to #4000 and see those riders vanish. The ridiculously low fares is what is keeping uber, drivers and partners in business People requesting for rides at the airport: Are airport cabs not convenient? Why are they requesting uber then? |

Xneg:Okay |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Epphy(m): 5:33pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:From #2,300 to #4,000 is an exorbitant hike. A 20% rise would not be so felt by riders while drivers would be a bit more satisfied e.g a 3k trip rises to #3,600. But if they have good reasons not to raise the rate ATM, at least do other things like commission reduction, bonuses etc. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Xneg: 5:36pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:When uber started, Festac to vi was about 4k and riders were on the increase, nobody complained u til they slashed by 40%. The red cabs where also available and were more expensive, majority of the people consider comfort before price, it's just now that you see plenty olosho's using it and their main concern is price. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 5:43pm On May 13, 2019 |
Xneg:So the question is: Are more riders on the platform now than before? Or is it the same number of riders that are still on the platform? I'm not saying they fares are fair, but increasing will reduce riders... If the fares are this low, and we complain of low requests, what happens when it's increased? Look at it from another angle sir |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 5:45pm On May 13, 2019 |
Epphy:Exactly |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Stealth100: 5:50pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:This is so off point. Prices were never 4000 from festac to VI. Why should it be now? That's not the kind of increase we are talking about. Maybe 20-25% increase from what we have now. Festac to VI should not be less than 3k. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Stealth100: 5:56pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:This thing is called ride sharing for a reason. Not all of us want to drive all day and pick 10 riders before we make something reasonable. If na two trips at a reasonable price, then fine. Going by the logic of the business, nobody would share their rides with the current rate. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 5:59pm On May 13, 2019 |
Stealth100:Okay And you think the same number of riders will remain? Maybe we should ask uber why they slashed by 40% in the first place |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 6:03pm On May 13, 2019 |
Stealth100:Its called ride sharing but we changed the narrative here in Nigeria. That's why Gazzuzz insists that it was rentals was never designed for it which is true The aim was to share rides. But will a driver who's supposed to deliver 30k be fine with just two trips in a day? Let's work with reality Corollas and camrys are littered everywhere and we still struggle for requests despite the horrible #500 minimum. And we still believe that if the fares are increased even by 2%, we will be fine? Make we dey realistic Abeg |

izzou:People have been taking airport cabs and yellow cabs (which were expensive) since forever. tell me bro, how were yellow cabbies making their monies..i remember how they used to do shakara untop dead rickety car ooo, yet you will beg dem to agree to carry you ..do you know alotta does men have built their houses from driving yellow cabs before uber came? tell me who paid for their fares?Bro when uber started, do you know how much the drivers and partners were making? im not saying that the fares should not be cheap but HABA Every sound business man tries to knock down price to build more clientele reach but these fares are ridiculous..very very ridiculous..if these fares are increase a little bit, trust me no rider will go anywhere...people love the comfort as well as the cheap fare but when taking okada or other uncomfy means of transport becomes more expensive than taking an aced car then i begin to worry. its simply because the drivers are not together plus the high employment rate hence this expliotation by these companies..Nigeria is their goldmine.. Festac to VI can be 3300, is that too much to ask? even the 4k sef rider will go..abi how much airport cab wan take? iz better to do less than 20 trips in a month and make 100k than doing 100 trips in the same time frame and make same amount. atleast depreciation go slow. The fares are ridiculously cheap..too cheap |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Xneg: 6:23pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:You don't seem to understand that Lagos is a very commercial city and people must move irrespective, do you know those yellow cab guys hardly sleep because Peope use them round the clock despite thier exorbitant charges, airport taxi is 5k and people still use them. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by jesusson2020: 6:26pm On May 13, 2019 |
Gentlelife50:Today is very slow, but will get there, sometimes is not easy, but is part of the process. Instead of waste energy carry pon pon and make so little, Uber is just a gold mine for me.

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Xneg: 6:30pm On May 13, 2019 |
izzou:More riders are on the platform because of awareness and adverts, I don't know of any that started taking uber only because of price, it's the convenience of sitting in your house and ordering against going to a taxi park. |
