Its called ride sharing but we changed the narrative here in Nigeria. That's why Gazzuzz insists that it was rentals was never designed for it which is true

The aim was to share rides. But will a driver who's supposed to deliver 30k be fine with just two trips in a day? Let's work with reality

Corollas and camrys are littered everywhere and we still struggle for requests despite the horrible #500 minimum. And we still believe that if the fares are increased even by 2%, we will be fine?

Make we dey realistic Abeg

Whether the rate is increased or not, we will still struggle for request. But grossing 7-10k a day would be easier. What it means is that you probably spend more time online but less time driving.
Besides, anyone that can afford to spend 500 on a short trip can as well afford 700naira. Same for someone spending 3200 can also afford 3600. We are not talking about outrageous increase. Just 20% maybe.

Instead of waste energy carry pon pon and make so little, Uber is just a gold mine for me.

Guys, brace up for more expensive uber rides, uber is going iPo and this means fares are likely to increase very soon.
This is good news for drivers as will surely favour the drivers and car owners. The riders will adjust to it. It is very common that we Nigerians like cheap thing.
But the sustainability of uber in Nigeria is tied to the harmony between the drivers and riders.
The Management must understand this!
I intend injecting a car into this business hence my research. Any good driver should send me a PM. I will reply with my nos.

Even with low fares, Ehailing apps companies are springing faster than a rabbit can breed.
Expect low price regime to stay, the bet is even on further price crash like riders not been charged little or nothing for time spent in traffic.
What is currently happening in the food industry is what we would witness in the ehailing biz going forward.
Even Domino had to get off their high horse by introducing N550 pizza.

It's not by force to fix with us. People bring their car all the time just for diagnosis and then go elsewhere. People also bring their own parts and we put for them. We give you estimate and don't do anything without your consent. At least you will know what is really wrong with the car. And TBH, we are VERY affordable on labor.
this is correct Sha, I really love and respect that white young oyibo mechanic that miraculously located and stopped a steering fluid leakage that 3 different roadside mechanics couldn't, all for 2500# cool cool

Remember a certain Mr. President of a populous black nation was almost killed via his Air Conditioning system, thank God for good medical care abroad, he is still battling the aftermath effect of the inhaled air from the vent system.
My point is this, some of the refrigerants being sold do not meet the expected quality standard, quite frankly those in charge of such things in Nigeria do not care.
Cancer and a lot of terminal diseases are on the increase in Nigeria, it is the food, it is the body cream ladies use, it is this,it is that nobody is sure, because we have a poor database and lack research facility.
It may even be nylon tint coupled with the excessive heat from the sun, that might be releasing certain toxin within a closed and sealed space. We the drivers spend hours everyday under the excessive heat of the sun in such sealed environment, was the cheap nylon tint designed to withstand such excessive heat from the Sun on a daily basis? over to the appropriate standard organisation in the country.
We may be slowly killing ourselves if we underestimate that the quality of what we breathe in on a daily basis matters, remember for every rider you pick, you need to put on your a/c.... Some of these low quality refrigerants may be slow poison to our system... the medical issues may come up 10 or 15 years later, when you should be enjoying the fruit of your labour, then you would be telling your doctor, such problem has never existed in your family.
Prevention as they say is better than cure.
Let us not be penny wise and health wise foolish!

Okay

And you think the same number of riders will remain?

Maybe we should ask uber why they slashed by 40% in the first place
We should focus on quality, not quantity. If we continue in this direction very soon we'll be dragging riders with danfo

When uber started, Festac to vi was about 4k and riders were on the increase, nobody complained u til they slashed by 40%.

The red cabs where also available and were more expensive, majority of the people consider comfort before price, it's just now that you see plenty olosho's using it and their main concern is price.
The economy, the buhari effect, the poverty increasing in the land.... before the 40% slash everyone was happy, uber was great until Taxify and buhari came

The 40% price slash was done on impulse. Not well planned and analyzed.

We all know it was a quick response to the growing popularity of Taxify.

I still believe the price reduction is the worst decision in the history of E hailing in Nigeria.

In Nigeria quality don't sell, quantity is the key to success in Nigeria market.

We just have to admit Nigeria is becoming poorer every day, so only cheap items sale more.
