ShyWhale:why not take a trip down Nigeria and start a business with the little you have gathered and you can leave back to Germany but make sure you put a capable hand to handle everything no family hand use a very professional hand and make sure you are up to date with the happenings around on maximum of weekend bases. you make sure all transaction and balance sheet are computerised so you can get access to every information electronically and you can control the business from overseas, that way will be able to if coming back here is a good idea. and one more thing, one of the major reason businesses fail in Nigeria is lack of proper planning and selfish management 1 Like |

Firstly, I'll advice you to marry the lady from the UK if the lady truly loves you, all you need is to do an assessment of your own definition of an ideal woman. Try to wither off some unnecessary and unrealistic desire, look for all the positives in the lady and move on with your life. Secondly, Germany has limited opportunities for foreigners compared to the UK because of language barrier. You can build a professional life with your big dream and great sense of commitment in the UK, you only need some information from the people who has been in the jobs, as long as you have the right status to take those jobs. Thirdly, going to Nigeria involves a lot of risks which if you don't get it right, you might regret the day you were born. It's one thing to have some kind of business ideas, but it's another to have an environment that could support your business. Remember, it's been a while that you left Nigeria, trust me it will take some time to cope with the way things work in that country, couple with the fact that you'll be coming from a country where the system works and people tends to trust each other. Unlike Nigeria, trust is very uncommon. 1 Like 1 Share |

Every one is saying Nigeria is bad and people are running away. So who are the people making Nigeria this bad? It is obviously them and thank God they are leaving. Because they will still go abroad and misbehave and end up in jail. All I will say is endure and get your German passport. In that time, save, save, save and go to a German language school to brush up on the language if you are not yet proficient in it. That time you are waiting for your passport to come out is the time to plan what you will do in Nigeria. Limit the amount of money you send home and save your money. Make plans to get a flat for at least 2-3yrs in a decent and safe area and make your move. Look, not everyone is comfortable with an average life. Some people want a life where they can do something significant. Don’t let these people here mislead you about Nigeria. A lot of them shouting Nigeria is bad are the problem of Nigeria. They lie, steal, cheat and are even trying to scam you right now. Take your time to plan your move. Don’t even think about marrying someone you have no feelings for. Life is too short for that. You are better off going to the UK and finding a girl that you like instead of the one forced on you. I wish you goodluck and success as you chart out your life plan. Nigeria is flush with opportunities but everybody wants to be an Oga with car, driver and housegirl straight out of university. While stealing from the employer and they expect the job to last and keep them secure. As if Sango is in their CEO’s cupboard vomiting money. 6 Likes |

oluayebenz:After making same observation about UK some years ago, I came back home. I still discover many Nigerians don't know how these things work. The system there takes everything away from you even though it seems at first like the salary is huge especially when converted to naira. The system was not built for us, it was built for them. 3 Likes |

Don't marry such lady.If you marry a toxic one as many of them are you will end up failing in your education and career as you will loose focus in life.Abroad is 80% focus on the ball.If you marry a toxic person that will cause distraction in your life, you will end up in minimum wage and then welfare before you are 50.Why are you in a hurry .She never paid for your flight to Germany. If they are desperate they should fly down to Nigeria and pay for flight and green card for those jobless young boys in travel section of Nairaland. You have option of Canada or Australia or starting your good business idea in Nigeria 4 Likes |

Recently, I became totally disillusioned with Nigeria and decided I made a terrible mistake not leaving Nigeria in 2014 when I started a business. FYI, I own a private school business and it’s currently five years, and the past five years has been hell. My health at some point even deteriorated and my marriage faced serious crisis. A month ago during the holiday, it was my birthday, and I was dead broke. And I wasn’t even certain if I wanted to continue with the business. Fast forward to today, we resumed this term, and it’s as if the heavens just opened for me. I have registered several children, as people are beginning to respect the quality of services I am providing. So you know, my school is expensive and we go for competitions including international ones. We are now getting plenty patronage and I just returned from the reception after attending to new intakes to relax. And with the positive news people are bringing to me, right now my school is considered one of the best around. And for days, I’ve been dazzled by this sudden success and good fortune and I am so grateful and joyous. Yes, I am in the same Nigeria that was frustrating the hell out of me a month ago. I am easily going to pay off some of my debts and not all, right now I am confident before the year ends I will clear my entire debt so far I don’t reduce my quality and secondly I am traveling by God’s grace during this next holiday for fun and not to go and hustle. With the ways things are currently going for me, I don’t imagine ever leaving Nigeria, God forbid. And i am even beginning to believe by 2024 I’d be able to pay $500k to pay a residence in the US or Dubai and visit whenever I want to relax. See, you can make it whenever you are, but what you really need is a compass. A map to guide you to your dreams and the grace to not quit your journey before it’s payday. For a five years old business making roughly 10 million yearly profit minus over 20 million expenses...because I am still building everyday, I think I can double that in a year or two and quadruple it in the next five years. Like I said, just have a plan and know the darkest hours comes before the sunlight. 6 Likes |

Beetobee:like I tell most people I can travel out for business and pleasure but say running away? never. yes everyday you might see one or two things which will make you feel you never which to be a Nigeria but then again all the problems we face today is as a result of how collective actions. if we all decides to the right thing the country will be a better place. some people talk about the politicians as if they are from mars or another country, they are just like everyday Nigerians with wrong mindset and when they get to a political office, the result is what we are experiencing. 1 Like |
