In my opinion, I guess your balance is a bit low. Did you tackle how your wife and baby will be taken care of in your absence in your SOP?
nochyks87:

Not a lump sum. It's a salary account. But it had a balance of about 26k. I didn't explain it in my loe. But my Sponsor had the above mentioned amount inflow and outflow. Its in dollars cos he is a US citizen and lives there
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 10:20pm On May 21, 2019
For your own good better mention all your denials/Refusals(of other countries and even Canada) to date if you don't wanna get banned... Peace

Due to the requirements of Canadian institutions, it is almost impossible to get admitted to sn msc program with a low gpa. On the contrary it is not impossible to get a program that will prove effective and show progression in your studies.

Don't go for any "random certificate" seek programs like advanced diploma, Graduate certificate and any pre masters program. Also not every program serves as a ladder for Msc programs so do well to conduct your research before applying.

And never make reference to a poor cgpa for your choice of program in canada on your sop or any other form. That is extremely important.

@Nochyks87, so sorry for the delay..

I am really not one of the gurus. But I have read and learnt so much from this forum. So i will highlight few things for you:
1. The 26k in your SOA is really kinda low. Since you ve got a family back in Nigeria. I feel you should up this amount. Then if your wife is currently employed you can also mention this in your LOE and provide evidence.
2. For purpose of visit, a very good SOP can deal with this. You need to properly link your job experience to your proposed program. Cos the truth is that there is a wide gap between industrial physics and health information management. So you need to really convince the VO.

Ultimately, you need to order your GCMS, this will give us more information, but while you wait start working on your financial status and SOP.

From information available here. The best is to order gcms note for you to know the details on why the denial. Also you may defer your admission to have ample time to reorganise yourself and reapply. Thanks and God be with you and give us favour always.

I have the reasons(purpose of Visit and Family ties)why I was denied. But I don't understand what to do if I have to reapply. Do I need to deal with this two reasons alone or still submit my financial documents etc. Thanks

Good morning folks. I need some clarification;

1. Is it possible for a VO officer to make a decision within two weeks? If yes in most cases what decision do they reach?

Here is my timeline

Upfront medicals. 1st May 2019
Paper submission. 10th May 2019
Linked application 15th May 2019
Background checks. 15th May 2019
Medical passed. 17th May 2019
Background and eligibility checks started on the same 15th of May 2019.
Biometric mail. 21st May 2019.

Does this mean a decision has been reached? If yes how soon can one get a response? Thanks.

Yes it’s very possible for a VO to make a decision even within one week!
Since you passed your medical and have received your biometric mail it seems a decision have been made. Keep your hope high and believe it’s a positive decision, in some hours time you will testify. Good luck!

You need your education credentials (waec certificate, Bsc certificate, transcript) and sometimes your passport data page.

When you check the schools website there are step to step guide on applying.

Purpose of visit and family ties has nothing to do with financial documents..like you were advised, order for your gcms notes to know why u had purpose of visit which I believe is from your sop

Still awaiting responses on the below request please.
AyodejiAyeni:
Good Morning Gurus,

Please will Canadian embassy accept Mutual Funds statement of account (e.g ARM) showing my transaction history and my investment balance as a Proof of Fund for student visa? I intend to also get letter from ARM backing the Mutual Fund balance. The letter will state categorically that I have access to liquidate my investment at any time. I also intend to print my bank account statement indicating my transfers to the Mutual Fund Investment account. The investment is particularly a form of savings towards my post graduate studies. I thought it wise to invest the savings for reasonable returns rather than keeping it in my account. I have maintained the Mutual Fund Investment account since 2015.

Kindly advise.

Please I need recommendations on schools/colleges that grants quick admissions with affordable tuition. I need to apply immediately

Please no school grants quick admissions. There are procedures the school admissions office take before an admission letter is issued to an applicant. Which takes weeks or few months. if you meet their requirements den u are good to go...

cheesy cheesy
No vex lol. I want to weigh all options before I apply somewhere. I would most likely involve services of an agent. Thanks anyway

If you are here and u still consider the services of the bolded, u need to be flogged... The info u get here, no agent has a clue of Wat it is... I will advised u calm down, don't rush, read, assimilate and do this yourself...that 400k you are willing to dash a fraudulent agent that would apply the visa for u and won't give you access to your own cic account, or agent that won't package your application well enough for you to be granted a visa, which means you might probably get a ban..am sure he promised you that your visa is assured...den his a fraud... but if u still want to use an agent..its a free world my man

Do not use a mutual fund...pls transfer the money to your savings account... the vo needs to see money that can be easily be accessible to you... I dont really know much about ARM but if u ask me....maje your application simple...combining multiple accounts leads to denial based on personal assets and financial reasons meanwhile u have millions..so pls make this financials simple to understand...
