Morning fam. Pls for those of us that added our spouse post PPR or COPR, was your spouse required to complete biometrics? This wasn't stated on the request letter I got. We're wondering if to pay for biometrics now, while paying for RPRF/application fee, hence the question. Pls note that some people I asked on the Canada visa thread, confirmed their added spouse didn't complete biometrics, even though they had never done one before. Need to confirm with naija peeps. Thanks. @threadstone @amakyzuu |

There's dignity in labour, as long as you are not involved in any illegal activity. You are on the right path by seeking authentic information on this thread; have you done some research about unskilled workers migration or checked if you meet the requirements for forklift drivers? There's another thread for express entry although for skilled workers, try asking more questions there, you might get someone with the answers you require. Best regards centoqoh: |

Please house, I understood also that when you reach Canada, having a Canadian certificate helps you for job search. So my question is what if one gets an online Canadian Certificate. If yes that means one can get it even before landing in Canada? |

1. Getting a job before you land is not impossible, but rare. 2. On whether online certificates can give you an edge, I think that is dependent on your industry. Try to use jobbank. Look at your desired jobs and look at the requirements. Can you satisfy the requirements with the course you are thinking about? Jenolyfavour: Jenolyfavour: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Austacus: There's a place on McArthur Avenue you can check. I can't remember the name right now and I am not 100% sure you can get what you want, but its worth a try. 1 Like |

Good day house. Please, I want to enquire, which part of Canada will be best suitable for an Optometrists who will be relocating from Nigeria, so as to get licensed and find a job, and subsequently also pursue a dream of second degree in Medicine. Please, answers and opinions are much needed. Thanks. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Blackbuddy: 7:13pm On May 22, 2019 |
Phaytie: Hi, I think the first thing to do would be to find out what it takes to practice as an optometrist in Canada. If you are ready to complete this process, you need to get your optometry credential evaluated, see here http://forac-faroc.ca/ Then you need to review the provincial regulations, that is, you need to know what it takes to practice in each province as each province here has their own guidelines. I believe eye care is a universal need, people everywhere will need eye care so there will be opportunities everywhere. You need to determine which province has requirements/guidelines you can meet and then decide wether you would like to settle there. You can check here for contact details on the provincial regulatory authorities you can reach out to, http://forac-faroc.ca/members/provincial-regulatory/ 17 Likes 7 Shares |
