I said I think you should. You will probably have to explain the inconsistency with your previous application
(Why you answered no to the sibling/relative question).

Pls you haven't still answered my question. Do u suggest I fill another form?

Thanks for all the informations provided on this platform, but I still need help, I don't know what they mean by ties in your home country, am married with a daughter, and both of us are public servants, but I was still denied, again if my cousin who has been in usa as citizen since 1997 married with children and a nurse by profession and the hubby drug enforcement agent invite me for holiday with it carry weight, will it fly?
This is for the positive minded people and not for those with negativities to reply please.
Thanks

You better let people with 'negativities' also help you out... a lot of wisdom lie in criticism.

I really wish people will just come here and at least first agree they haven’t read more than a page or two instead of pretending that they have read much. Their questions keep betraying them, and someone like me will also join them and pretend like I didn’t see their post too. The most that will happen is you will be referred back to the first page or to some previous thread maybe.

When I joined nairaland and the US Visit Visa thread, I took particular interest in even previous posts by Tzetzefly especially, VisaOfficer, AbujaNIV, LagosNIV, then Fastlink, Gbenge77, LadyG and Thegreengooner (these were people whose takes were loaded and captivating at the time and till now) amongst others in spite of limited time, I’m better for it. My first and second question on here had some good space between because I was catching up after work, every night as I lay there on my bed till sleep comes. Was showing stuff to my wife alongside as I saw something new and important to us.

There are some people either sharing or liking posts from even as early as 2016, I wish I knew them sef, I won’t hesitate to answer all of their questions to the best of my ability as time and opportunity avails, they are serious, clearly!

Nice to know that the thread is manned by very capable hands as it were. Seyewest, Juswise, Madam LadyG, Omobendel24 among others. I will state here that you guys have been doing a very good job on this forum even despite your tight schedules I presume.

HOWEVER AN ADVISE TO PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS:

I must state that if an applicant does not have a genuine reason(s) to travel to the States, please do not waste your precious funds on visa fees not to mention the resultant negative psychological devastation.

The reform in immigration process is very real not just at the Embassy/ Consulate, but at the Point of Entry.

A word of caution please!

Attached is an entry stamp of a traveller to Atlanta.

Have a nice day!

And the approved stay is not up to 6months... just 3months plus.

Isn't this a good development for non visa abusers?

Those terms as used are relative depending on the individual using it. So, I don’t know where I may fall into, I will therefore avoid the post and that person’s posts for now....

That message should be from Sheyi “AlwaysHere” Shobayo. I don’t know the other name(s) he uses here on nairaland, a little research shows that that person is Suxes2005/Suxes2006 the very person that initiated the Part 1 of this thread, I think he’s been in and out of trouble on NL too if my memory isn’t failing me....

A good development, but not new, and not a regular occurrence, it’s been there and even came up for discussion in the Part2 of this thread sometime in 2016 I believe. More of a psychological warfare sha if you research it....

Yeah, you're right!

Had an issue with someone here as regarding S.A. visa long time ago.

That was when S.A. asked people to pay repatriation fees.

The work has not been easy at all, but then, we need to keep moving.

Below is my post on this matter on the birthing thread

OmoBendel24:

Not necessarily isolated. It’s been on for some time, and I think for some reason I like it though. I personally know of an individual that got same during the Obama regime, hers was even funnier, she got 3 weeks stay with all the annotations added too....

Downside is that she got pretty scared of her future relationship with the US and refused to exit the US thereafter (despite having a good job and properties here in Nigeria, but no husband or child to return to, THEY ONLY SUCCEEDED IN SCARING HER), the last I heard was that she made the Canada Border crossing list having moved around the US a couple of years doing some under the table jobs.

I’m not in support of all these however, but a soft-peddling here and there by the US authorities will do a lot of good. The US visa is GOLD to some people, they don’t want to misuse it, punishment by them to people for slightest “mistake” (conscious and unconscious) isn’t friendly at all. How can someone for instance research and find “deals”, then go and birth in the US and pay the fees as charged (discounted) without owing a dime, exit the US but find it difficult to renew their visa thereafter for reasons that are still not clearly established till date rather than “the fees paid are too small/cheap”? Not that it’s illegal to birth in the US oh, not that the people didn’t declare intent to birth oh! Tor....

Good day house,

i applied for drop box on the 29th of March, i just went to get my passport today and was asked to schedule an interview. i just want to know what my chances are for this interview. i got a 2year visa that expired july 2018. i used the visa once in November 2017 and stayed for 3 weeks. i have also been to SA and dubai prior to my US visit. i am a single Lady and my monthly salary is 250k.

The last interview i attended with both of my parents we were planning to attend my cousins wedding. i don't know if i got lucky with the visa the last time cos my aged parents went with me(thats what i believe. i may be wrong). i also told the VO then that i was planning my wedding then. but unfortunately the wedding didnt happen.

Please house. what are my chances...........

They would ask you about the wedding: as I supposed, you filled in your renewal form that you are still single

I wonder who is spreading the story that it is Atlanta POE.
Meanwhile, something must have transpired at the POE.
I know someone who has had this on his stamp in 2016.
So it is not new.
My first time i was stamped in for 21 days because i was to stay 19 days.
Subsequently i have been stamped in for 6 months.
Let Nigerians stop spreading rumours abeg.

Interesting example of usurping authority. As far as I know, there are specific criteria under the law that determine eligibilty for AOS and this cannot be revoked by a simple entry on a stamp. Even denial of entry at the airport is not a final decision if you know what to do. Most people don't know that if you have a visa and are being denied entry, you have the right to an exclusion hearing before a judge to determine your admissibility, an administrative appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals and a judicial review or appeal of any, or all, of the aforementioned decisions. Navigating these waters is much easier with legal representation.
