Someone should please help, am a fresh graduate of Ekiti State University, I studied Plant Science and Biotechnology with a CGPA of 3.70(second class upper), please do I have a good chance to take a direct entry into medicine and Surgery?

And which University can you recommend for me?

Supplement the DE with UTME as well

Since Plant Science and Biotechnology is a biological science course, you stand a chance to apply for medicine and surgery via direct entry.

You can try UI. UI admits DE students into medicine without considering where they graduate from once they come out with first class or 2.1. I know of some people who got admitted last year through direct entry.

You can also try UNN. It is easy to study medicine and surgery in UNN through direct entry than through UTME.

Nevertheless I will advise that you should apply for both DE and UTME at the same time to increase your chances of getting admitted to medicine.

Hope you apply for DE this year?

P.S: I know it is not easy to get first class in EKSU. Congratulations on your grade.

with 300+ point in jamb. Unimaid will admit you for MBBS. From any state. That I can assure you. . I got in with 310 . Congratulations bro.

Thank you sir

Lol.. Why UNN.. You want him to go an waste his jamb score.. UNN MBBS is dangerously competitive. I read in this thread when someone said about 14000+ wrote the post UTME last year.. And not more than 300+ was admitted..

More to this is that... MBBS failure rate in UNN is high.. Many students are withdrawn after MB 2 exams... Because more than 400+ students take this exam due to the fact that UNN admit too many students..

Unlike in the Unimaid. Only about 200 MBBS + BDS will sit for MB 2 exams.. Even UNN MBBS students will advise you not to come to UNN

Wow! 14,000+ students to struggle for a miniature slot of a maximum 300+ students? So intriguing!

Hi medics
I scored 279 but I'm kinda confused on which school to choose between EBSU and ESUT.

I'm afraid of choosing EBSU cos I heard they are fiercely indigenous.
For Esut, I heard maths is a major part of the post utme and it's been many years since I opened any O level maths text.
Now I don't want to waste my score and I'm kinda desperate here.

I actually prefer EBSU but I don't know if it's possible for me especially with my low score.

Ishi na agbam pop corn.
I'm from Enugu State.

Ebsu will admit you straight!!
Last year was 250

That cut off doesn't assure you of admission.
It means you may be considered.
I heard from very reliable sources that many scored above that Last year but were denied.

Na God hand we deh.

There are good state universities that offer medicine instead of wasting jamb scores on competitive universities

Good morning. Please I need some info about unical dental school.

How many students do they admit and graduate yearly?

What are the chances of someone with jamb score of 220 gettting dentistry there?
