I told you just yesterday that though it tarries, please wait for it and God finally did it. Congratulations to you and your family, PPR well deserved but not to forget those your extended families too ooo.

I enjoyed reading this script with so much emotions and it gives me so much joy to be the one to grade it. Although I’d like to give you 9/10 but I’d be giving 7.5/10 because you skipped from ITA to AOR, no POF statement, Medical process, PCC, reference etc. May this decision be the best you’ve ever made

Please can you use blue pen to grade so we can still maintain the standard and uniqueness

Please could anyone assist with a response to this:

Is it possible to add my teenage cousin as a dependant or my dependent child to my profile. His mom wants his name to just go in as my child or dependant while he finishes secondary school by next year and then joins later when I'm settled. I'm a single applicant and pre ITA.

Is there anyone who has been able to add a non-biological child to their application successfully?

Yes, you can include your cousin by adopting him. It’s better done if you are pre-ITA. However, based on adoption date, yours and his age etc, it may raise a flag and lead to some questions such as why did you adopt him. Are his parents dead? Incapable of taking care of him? Also remember that there are background checks done.

Weigh your options and make a wise choice. All the best.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited you to apply for permanent resident status
based on the qualifications you claimed in your Express Entry profile. In your Express Entry profile you
indicated you had a relative in Canada who was a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident but have filed
to provide sufficient proof of the relationship.
This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest
ranking person who was invited to apply in your round of invitation, under the Express Entry
Comprehensive Ranking System.
As I have found that you no longer possess the qualification on the basis of which you were ranked under
an instruction given under paragraph 10.3(1)(h), you no longer meet the requirements of Section 11.2 of
Act.
Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the
Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.

cutiep:
Sorry to hear about this, these are my thoughts

1) I do not think there are any established alternative process. However, a mail to Ralph might put you in perspective.

2) I dont think it does

3) your WES ECA evaluation is valid. IELTS is valid if its less than 2 years. The Medicals is valid if it is still within the one year range. I dont know about biometrics but i think you might be asked to do a new one for the new application. Unfortunately, you have to do a new PCC as the one used in your first application os only valid for 3months.

***Please share more information on the specific reason for the rejection so we can all learn and prepare.

All the best.

PCC outside your country of residence doesn't expire so far you obtained it after your last visit. But becomes invalid when you visit again before application submission.

I need some clarification on this. So, I'm based in the US but I am in Nigeria for research for 3 months. I have my US PCC already. Thinking of getting Nigeria's next week. Does that mean I have to wait till I leave Nigeria to get my PCC? Or do I need to get US PCC again? Which country would you suggest I make the country of residence in this case: Nigeria or US? Should be turning in my application as soon as I get ITA in a few days.

I believe your case would be re-opened. However, can we know the exact error on the Birth Certificate? Is it an error relating to name, place of birth, parentage etc?

This would give us insights to advice appropriately and others can also learn.

Thanks.

Hello everyone, please has anyone experienced delay on receiving PEBC evaluation acknowledgment. I sent an email and got no reply. My application was delivered on the 18th of April and still I have not gotten any acknowledgment email. I check my inbox and spam mails regularly. I need advice. Thanks.

I doubt if you'd get an acknowledgment mail except in special cases were you are asked to send additional documents. What you can do is to send a mail and ask to know whether it was received. Also, have you sent all other documents such as transcript, licensing statement or statutory declaration as applicable to your case. All the best.

Damn!!! That VO is harsh sha. No ADR? No precedural fairness letter? I am so sorry to hear this. What are the further evidences you provided for reconsideration? I hope they are sufficient enough.
NPC attestation? I hadn't gotten it before submitting the CSE, I've applied for it and currently being processed anyway
A sworn affidavit by your parents? Yes, indicating the error and addressing it
Pictures of you both at childhood? Yes, from 10 years ago and 2yrs ago
Copy of the Nigerian law confirming that NPC attestation is a sufficient replacement, should in case you decide not to use the birth certificate due to the error? will use NPC attestation for the next application, I believe it states the portion of the act that empower it to be used as a legitimate evidence
etc.equally included ID documents that indicate same address for myself, the brother and a parent.

Be patient, they might respond soon, and if they don't respond, remember they are not obligated to respond to closed cases, it's entirely at their discretion. Do you know your VO? Can you email the VO directly with the reconsideration plea and all the documents? That's the next most authoritative action to take after CSE. the response to the CSE came through, indicating that the file is at AVO with guides on contacting them.

2. Great that you have applied for fresh ITA. Yes it qualifies and will feature. It is refusal and your case is considered closed, except they decide to reopen it but you have little control over that. so I should obtain the schedule A and fill upfront or wait for when it's requested?

3. You will have to redo only medicals.
And PCC if you don't get ITA before 6 months expiration. PCC is valid for 3 months or 6 months?
What if the 6th month falls into when 2nd application has been submitted?

Wait until you get ITA before you book medicals, or if you are very sure you'll get ITA the next draw, you can book now. I am more particular about the birth certificate issue. You have to write a very convincing LOE on why the VO should ignore the erroneous birth certificate in next visa decision and consider other documents instead. Because it will stick out when the new VO reviews your case. The only sufficient replacement for it is the NPC attestation and this is backed by law, I hope you have it, perhaps you can include that (should in case the current case is not reconsidered). currently being processed and will be used for the next application

All the best you. I strongly believe you will testify soon and share your PPR success story. thank you very much

P.S. Please for those of us pre-AOR, let's carefully package our documents completely. Do not assume ADR is a given. It is entirely left to the VO's discretion Apply as if you won't get ADR. And if in the middle of your waiting period post-AOR, you feel uncomfortable about any document and you're convinced you need to edit or change, do not assume an ADR will come, please proactively raise a CSE.

Please find the responses as bolded. Should serve as lessons for everyone else regardless what stage you are in.
Cheers

PEBC is very notorious for being silent on applications.
if you're sure all your documents, including your transcript, have been sent to them, wait another week or two then send them a mail requesting to know you application status. They will reply.

first, double check with your courier company that all documents have been delivered and signed for. Then state the name of the person who signed for the delivery in your mail.

Note that their silence does not in anyway mean they aren't working on your application. Due to their increasing volume of work, they're finding it difficult to reply mails regularly. you may jst get a mail after the 3-4months processing time, that your report has been dispatched already.

All the best on your EE journey.

You have two options.

First, you can use US as your country of residence. You are visiting Nigeria for 3 months. If you use US as your country of residence, you will have to get Nigeria's PCC after you leave the country else the VO would have issues with it during post-AOR since you got it before you left and could lead to a rejection. You do not need to another US PCC if it is not 6 months at the time of submission. You can submit the one you have.

Alternatively, you can use Nigeria as your country of residence, get your Nigerian PCC and submit it. Submit your US PCC as well. However when you move back to the US after three months, you must notify CIC of the change of location by raising a CSE. You must might also get another US PCC because the one you will have submitted while you were in Nigeria would be invalid since the rule says you says that for countries other than your country of residence, your PCC must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row. Also when was your US PCC issued? If it was issued before you move to Nigeria for your research and you want to use Nigeria as your country of residence, that US PCC would be invalid. You have to order a new one while you are in Nigeria.

Whichever country you decide to use as a country of residence will have consequences for the validity of the PCC of the second country.

Thank you. I did some more research and came to this conclusion as well. His dad is late, mum has 4 of them and wants help with school/training them, and I'm 16 years older than him. Adoption throws up fresh issues even internally. Like does he want to be adopted, do I want to adopt a teenager (what do I know about parenting), will his mum be willing to have him adopted and so on. Thanks a lot for your response.
