I am still finding so hard to understand what's called a good device?

As much as a device is reliable, efficient, effective, durable, portable , not bulky, i believe the device is good Nd if the device is economical and not a must for a device to be unecessary expensive before you can conclude that a device is better than the other, so I believe Xiaomi meet all these categories and can be compAre with Samsung.

That is it for u!
For another, it is the name tag while for many others, camera and battery makes the good phone. As for me, buy whatever you can afford and can handle your daily needs

Those of you shouting IR blaster removal up and down, how many times do you use that stuff daily? cheesy
Most people only use it to impress people around them.
Since I bought my present phone, I only used IR remote once and that was the day I set it up. I always rely on my remote wares and forget I have device with IR blaster. angry
It all boils down to choice anyway.
I already know the next device I'm buying. wink

abeg explain the IR blaster and IR romete...I'm using redmi7

They intend to sell the phones in more global markets, hence it's no brainer it has NFC which is mostly used over there.NFC >IR blaster.
Imagine.. in these parts, it's essentially a redundant feature. Well, one can't have it all.

bro leave the guy
people that buy infinix and tecno flagship around 100k are who?
even samsung mid-range of 100+ are who?
the truth is not everyone likes buying expensive phones even if there have the money
u won't expect someone that hardly take pictures , doesn't have time for mobile gaming to come buy a phone of 100+ it's very rare
but u will see a university students using iPhone x
is not as if he has the money but he rather likes the phone and it's not wrong to get a phone of 300k+
it's only wrong when u go extra bad miles to get it
like stealing etc
so the point is everyone is different buy what u think is best for u!

That only happens with xiaomi fone camera. Very poor pictures in low light conditions.
Such only comes from chronic Xiaomi nitpickers. Very poor opinion/assessment of good stuff in all circumstances.

I could say the same for NFC. They should have swapped that with IR.

Between the IR Blaster & NFC, the latter is more future proof, relevant with current device aided payment methods & mainly requested by those in the western markets.

I see Xiaomi gradually drifting to NFC & USB type C as standards in their devices, to the detriment of the IR blaster in subsequent releases as done by other OEMs.

The release of the K20 & K20 Pro just goes to show the extent Xiaomi is willing to push for more penetration outside the Chinese market

I use my phone snap one lady on Saturday for one wedding(outdoor pics), she instantly turn my friend shocked, naxo she begin beg for more shots. Before I know, she don begin hype my camera upandan, she kuku borrow my phone, carry her friend to snap selfies (now indoors), I just dey one corner dey laf am, I know say the pics go disappoint am in front of her friend, you need to see the look on her face grin.
Morale of the lesson : Photography just like sight na light. The more light you get, the better the pics. If you nr fit see clearly for hazy environment nr expect your camera to see clearly too, same goes for low light pics. The best lens still reside in the human eye but funny enough many people still expect their camera to outperform their eyes grin.

This is a great lecture. Thanks for this Baba. cool
