This photo surfaced this morning following the controversial demolition of Akachi Tower in Owerri which is still trending.

In the photo, you can see one of the beautification artificial palm trees in the city of Owerri being set on fire.


Governor Ihedioha has denied ordering the demolition of the Akachi Tower. However, it is therefore important that the government of Imo State puts a quick measure to check the excesses of overzealous people who might be taking advantage of certain space to destroy the public property of the state.

Governor Emeka Ihedioha has to bear in mind that whatever happens in Imo now, will easily have his name labelled on it.

This incident happened a few months back.... One of the artificial palm trees caught fire cos of faulty wiring... Some of them are actually wired with fancy lights....

But, I read somewhere that he didn't give any directive to demolish.
