Finally, visa has been approved after many weeks into lectures. I didn’t defer my admission as was suggested by elders here because doing so involves lots of processes which I’m not ready for now.
To those expecting admission, appointments and visa I wish you all the best and success.

I've been speaking with an Indian friend who is studying in the same school I'm planning on attending in DE and let me share the information I got from him with everyone here.
Do you know why Indians succeed wherever they migrate to? It's not just because they share information with one another but because they actually LISTEN AND TAKE ADVICE. My Indian friend told me that when he was planning to go to DE, he was advised not to step foot in DE without at least B1 in German. He had to stay back in India for a year learning the language and getting the certificate from Goethe. He said he has met many Nigerian students who can't speak Deutsch and they are struggling in terms of moving around and getting jobs. I told him we have a forum here on the Internet (Nairaland) where we share information with one another and we've always been told to learn the language before going to DE. He said and I quote "Then why don't you guys listen?"
I've said my own you can process this information as you wish. Oh, he said as a foreigner, all the German you speak means nothing without the official certificate from the Goethe institute to prove it, especially when applying for jobs.
PS: if you are going to OVGU Magdeburg and you don't have at least A2 Zertifikat, it will be very difficult for you to get student jobs. Most of the people who can't speak German have to either go to other cities for jobs or relocate altogether. And this is not just coming from my Indian friend, some Nigerians who are there also said the same thing.

My people, I got an admission @ Unibremen for M.Sc. Ecology but have few questions /sort for advise.

a. I do not understand jack in German as the program ll be taught in english but how easy will getting a student job on this premise that I wont have to rely on the funds in BA
b. How lucrative/relevant is Ecology in Germany so that I can get jobs after graduation (I no wan come back)
c. The basis is a better life especially for my kid(s) to come as my earning is not entirely bad.
d. My introduction is around the corner so there is a bae factor, what is the advise on how best to make plans for her in terms of reunion or come over with me. should I channel my energy to IELTs /EXp entry since one of us already has a Masters

please give further advise

Good day guys,

I am just stumbling upon this thread now. I have great interest in working and studying in Germany too.

I currently have a Bsc in Accounting, but greatly interested in IT.

Any suggestions, advices and tips on how to go about this? Considering the language Barrier.

P.S I graduated with a 2.2

Learn the language so it doesn't remain a barrier.
Do your research for any IT course you will like.
Bsc in accounting? Then check daad.de, check thoroughly for what you want and then you will see it. Good luck

good morning sir, please i have been writing and not getting any reply
i'm here to make some enquirers on how to get a visa to school in Germany
i'm 27 and i have only my weac certificate so i want to know if i still have a possibility of getting this visa
please find attach below
from jerome....
Please note that your Waec alone is not sufficient to get you a bachelor's admission.

You have to go through any of the following processes:
1. Get a completed 100L Nigerian University transcript of a program similar to the one you want to study in Germany. You can enrol at NOUN for that. Together with your WAEC,it's good to go
2. Learn German up to B1 or B2 level and apply to studienkolleg.

However, I'd strongly recommend the first option.

Your age isn't a factor bro. People in their 30s are doing a bachelor degree there.
