Although, commonly used PKG inhibitors available reduce cGMP-stimulated PKG activity, however, our potently engineered and selective PKG I alpha inhibitor is novel in the sense that not only does it effectively inhibits cGMP-stimulated PKG activity but also reduces basal PKG activity both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, the distinctive inhibitory properties of our drug suggest an important role for constitutive PKG activity in the continuous regulation of cerebral artery tone. There you have it!

lol you pulled this from the abstract of your paper is okay. The result of your method confirms its novelty and not that research on the inhibitor is new.

my words? You said your inhibition is novel and I clarified you that inhibition is not novel but its application is what is novel as can been seen from your result on basal effects. Inhibition can only be novel when you design a patentable inhibitor from scratch.
