IHEANACHO.... At least his exclusion would serve as a warning to those players that think our Darling SE is reserved for them regardless how they perform in their respective clubs. They should learn from this. You don't shite at your club then walk in to our AFCON squad like say na your papa get super eagles.

This is at the heart of the matter.

no doubt about that. the bobo na beast and fearless but only if he will change allegiance to us. he is one player whom i need the most in the super eagles. the other is felix uduokhai
komekn:
The players with the most dramatic improvement he even shocked me this season but yet to play for Nigeria.

Fikayo Tomori in my opinion currently the best yet to be capped CB we have.

Current form always exceeds past form when there is obvious proven improvement.

Aina has improved this season although l didn't think he got many chances to prove himself. By just club form alone Aina is justified you can not select a player based on past glories. It has to be present continous.
He lacks the awareness of a right back. He often seems lackadaisical in his marking and tracking his opponent.
It was glaring to eyes yesterday.

Unpopular opinion:

Akpeyi looked more solid than Uzoho yesterday. I know he wasn't tested much but when he was, he showed pretty sharp reflexes.

And he seems to be good at long throws and clearances, both things Uzoho is horrible at.

Shehu has never really been convincing at RB. Ajayi should've made the list as an RB ahead of him.

I guess Rohr was just being loyal to his old boy.

You take out Ajayi and add an Awaziem with lack of aerial prowess Rotherdam would have been relegated by January

Awaziem is a better player than Ajayi.

Very glaring, dts y its more difficult to drop shehu

It will b calamitous taking only aina as our Full RB option to d nations cup with dis his lackadaisical style

He's d reason y shehu is still in d team..as poor as shehu is,my mind is still at peace when shehu is playing at d right back against an African opposition dan aina,dt aina awareness on d pitch is too poor

D day we get to c a good RB option and a rejuvenated Ebuehi, automatically it will b bye bye for shehu, even aina if care is not taken...my opinion cool

far better player than ajayi. they keep on mentioning aerial prowess as if ajayi is a number 9. even if dude made the team i doubt he will start any match

kelechi down fall was city converting him to a number 9 when the lad was a natural SS. played mainly as a 9 rubbed off his creative and dribbling spark which made him lethal with the u17 team. for once i never liked the idea and now it has really affected his game and confidence.

nacho is a natural SS who also have that sense of positioning when he finds himself in the 18 yard box and that instinct made city to develop him to a number 9

Nacho man's rise to fame from City academy to City main team was playing as a hit man. He excelled playing as a striker and utilised his best attribute which is being lethal in front of goal. All Nacho needs is to have regular run in a system that creates loads of chances and he will shine bright.

For Rohr to drop Iheanacho means the dude must have deteriorated completely. .

For those saying Rohr was unfair to him, you have no idea what you're saying. Rohr has shown much more faith and patience in Nacho than any other coach would have done.

For one, Nacho NEVER deserved to be at the WC in Russia. He did nothing but flop around all season at Leicester but Rohr still took him to the biggest stage of world football and even started him in some matches!. And what did Rohr get for his troubles?. An absolute nonsense of a performance!. Yet they say Rohr hates Nacho!.

Rohr still started him against SA. And got a worse performance to show for it!. Iheanacho missed a clear goal because he COULDN'T TRAP THE BALL!.

If you blame Rohr for not taking a tested and proven flop to the AFCON, you are an enemy of the SE.

the best for nacho now is to get a loan move away from leicester. i believe a move to a decent la liga team will get him back to his best.

Going on loan by Nacho will be a disastrous decision. He is under a fine management now and adopting the coach's method is the best for him and possibly make the best of the limited chances he will get.

Going on loan will mean Nacho working with a less competent manager.

Awaziem played for Porto first team before he was loaned to Ligue 1 last season though he didn't get to play this season before he was loaned out to a Turkish club.

Kenneth Omeruo is likely to stay put at Spanish La Liga club, CD Leganes where he played on loan from parent club Chelsea during the recently-concluded 2018/19 season, Completesports.com reports

The 25-year-old had earlier stated his desire to sign a permanent contract with Leganes during an interview with top UK media outlet, BBC Sport a few months back.

“The football here suits my style and the club provides a stable platform for me,” the onetime Africa Cup of Nations winner told BBC Sport.

“The opportunity to play against the best players in the world is massive for my career. There is an option for Leganes to sign me on a permanent basis and hopefully, that will happen.”

And contrary to reports suggesting that Omeruo turned down a chance to discuss his possible transfer away from the Blues, insisting he is on national assignment with the Super Eagles, the centre-back is keen on joining Leganes on a permanent deal.

A source close to the player informed Complete Sports in Asaba of Omeruo’s plan to go ahead and pen a permanent contract with Leganes for whom he had an outstanding showing last term, making 27 starts in 28 La Liga appearances in which the club kept nine clean-sheets.

The source said: “I can tell you, for sure, that Omeruo is eager to join Leganes on a permanent deal. However, he is not the only one who has a say on this matter as Chelsea will make the ultimate and final decision, especially if their transfer ban stays.”

Omeruo is a versatile player who can play centre-back or right-back role and is regarded as one of Africa’s best young defenders. His 44 caps for the Super Eagles also include appearances at the Confederations Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.

You are not getting my point.

Shehu would have been dropped instead of Semilore Ajayi if Aina had covered himself in glory in the right back position.
Rohr had to test Awaziem in the same position because of Aina's not to impressive performance.
Had it been Rohr can trust Aina, believe me you Shehu would have been dropped.

Former Hapoel Be’er Sheva Of Israel midfielder, John Ogu has dismissed outrightly the reports that he is on the verge of linking up with Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor, Completesports.com reports.

Recent reports have hinted that the combative midfielder is set to join fellow Nigerian compatriots, Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme at Trabzonspor this summer after his contract at Hapoel Be’er Sheva ended.

But during a chat with Complete Sports in Asaba where the Super Eagles were camped for a week in preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Ogu said he knew nothing about the Trabzonspor move.

“Anything you heared about me trying to join Trabzonspor waa not from me and it was also not from my agent as I have not spoken at all to the Turkish club, and I have no connection whatsoever with them,” Ogu stated.

“I can tell you that there is nothing concrete yet but all I know is that there have been offers from some other countries apart from Turkey because my agent told me about them.

“I have not signed anything yet and once I know where I will be playing next season, then I will update all of my fans and that will be on social media, but for now, I am focused on the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.”

Ogu restated his dream to earn a move to a club in England, particularly in the Premier League before he finally calls it quits in his footballing career.

The 31-year old who has decided to leave Hapoel Beer’Sheva with whom he won a plethora of trophies during his five years stay said he was looking forward to playing for an English club.

If Akpeyi can get rid of his nerves, he won't do too badly.

This is what I wrote earlier, no better option than to take a loan move, he is not going to get better at Leicester, the problem he has is regular playing time and probably his attitude.

It seems some coach don't take him serious cos of his jovial nature.

It is not about working with coach, it's about playing regularly, he has worked with guardiola and where did that lead him? On the bench. The more he sits on the bench the more he gets rusty, now someone mentioned origi, it had to take origi a loan move to be better, this was someone that couldn't make it under rogers.
Working under rogers does not guarantee improvement but playing regularly.

Origi went on loan but when he came back, Klopp did not show him fate by given him games. Keep in mind the belief came after a long run training with Klopp.

Playing regularly does not guarantee improvement but training regularly under a system that suits the player and then getting games under the same system.

Jumping to a team for regular playing time does not guarantee that improvement.

The system and training comes first and Leicester City offers that with Rodgers.

Origi came back hotter from loan , you can't say training under klop was the factor, yes it can help but brother when u score week in week out regularly your confidence will come back I swear. Look at Oshimen that was wasting on wolfsburg bench getting injury on training pitch before even being played, now what is happening dude has been sort after by bigger clubs than he was before.

Regular play is the key, no two ways about it.

Rohr should have dropped Iheanacho prior to the world cup when it was obvious he lost form but he kept playing him over players that were in form.

He made him too relaxed and assured for a call.

This was what I saw then that made me to voice out on several occasions but people thought I was hating and even went as far as calling me a tribalist.

I think they were the true enemies of Iheanacho. They never really love the boy.

However, I think converting him into a striker from a SS/Amf didn't do him well, perhaps.

I hope he gets back to the Iheanacho we know. Goodluck.

That is the mistake a lot of people make. I pointed out that Osimhen was improving at Wolfsburg even without playing time and I noticed it in one of the games against South Africa.

Keep in mind, Osimhen showed good form as soon as he joined Charleroi. Meaning the improvement was before Charleroi, not after.

Charleroi was just a platform to show what he gained training with the likes of Mario Gomez and Origi.

For now, Nacho has a brilliant striker in Vardy to understudy and also a brilliant tactical manager to improve his tactical insight. Going to a less competent manager is the wrong move.
