Honestly, I haven't been able to guage it because I was streaming and browsing. With the same browser.

But when I was not loading any page my data speed was between 18-22KB/s while streaming

I'm glad the link was able to help people. The funny thing is I was removed from a WhatsApp group for sharing the link oh. That it had nothing to do with the purpose of the group. After that I said let me come share it on nairaland, no one can remove me for doing that. grin

it uses musixmatch as a plugin, so it displays lyrics and synch appropriately with the playing song.

smiles... eni ba lomo... I got my phone last year November, I didn't tamper with any settings on the phone and have been updating my phone until the last update(pie)... my phone updated successful.. no issues... but after my phone came up... it started hanging, have to restart everytime... it's very frustrating, I format the phone, same thing.... I have to look for the stock ROM and install... but mii really suffer before getting it back up...

so you can't blame them... am still going to try the manual update, cos I can't imagine my phone on 8.1....

Flash with the recent update you got before the problems cos some xiaomi devices will hard brick if you roll back your ROM.

Of course I know that. I have used online radio for a long while especially during my Galaxy S4 days because it didn't come with Radio support. Don't know about this one though but the data usage with Tune-in radio was not much

This one actually uses much data. Any tricks on how to reduce the data usage?

I repeat, there's no relationship between unlocked bootloader and OTA update. The guy who bricked his phone had a locked bootloader.

Maybe you didn't read what I wrote well, his phone got bricked cos he may have a modified ROM and tried OTA of an official ROM and before you can modify ROMs you'll need to unlock the bootloader. Maybe his ROM was modified and bootloader relocked being sold to him.
I can remember both of us had a debate on this when I got my phone new and had an OTA and you were of the opinion that I should avoid OTA cos you thought my rom was a shop ROM when I sent the screenshot of my phone specs. Am the Chinese version redmi 6 pro novice guy then.

Guys pls who has the same issue with me sometimes when a open an app in my phone it shows as if a shield is blocking the screen and nothing will press on the screen again only if I press the back button and the shield will uncover and all will be pressing again
