Lesson From Deputy Senate Speakership Election; South South Vs South East. by AbaLion: 12:00am On Jun 12, 2019
As soon as Ovie Omo Agege was declared the elected Deputy Senate President of the newly inaugurated 9th Senate, celebrations rent the air from across every part of the country except that the Igbos were cold.
Igbos hardly could stomach the defeat of their son to a son from the Urhobo constituent part of the Niger Delta. As at the time of my writing, No Igbo has been seen to have congratulated the new DSP. Some of them, including a Nairalander( igbo), created a thread announcing his quitting politics on the account of the defeat of Ekweremadu while many others, in a very shameful manner with shared sentiments, derided the person of the distinguished Senator Omo Agege with all kinds of insults so much so their forked tongue hypocrisy was made more prominent. Their reactions to say the least were utterly disgusting, whereupon the South South however must have a rethink.

Shortly after his humiliating defeat, Ekweremadu, in a bid to save face, gave a reason so stupid that makes him look too stupid in the eyes of a slowpoke. It came to no sane individual as a shock that his kinsmen would parrot his line of thoughts much as ridiculously as they are naturally wired.
Why are they conveniently unhappy with the SSoutherners those at ease they hypocritically tag along?

Consider this for a second; If Goodluck Jonathan had contested and won the 2011 Presidential election against an Igbo candidate, Would the Igbos have been happy with the South South?.. Before you say Yes, gently ponder on the atavistic egoism of an average group of people who consider it an affront having the minority SS knock them off the perch, down the lower rung of national relevance. Do you think such a people would have been graceful in defeat?.. But thankfully, Gej contested against a Northerner, thereby their support for him was robust and seemingly genuine.

However, this thread is not aimed to disparage any tribe rather a reawakening of the consciousness of an average SSner to age long falsehoods, wickedly culture of fake love and hypocritical political alignment for the sole purpose of economic domination. Quite unfortunately, a lot many SSners had lost touch with a sense of history of the pre-independence when their forebears were marginalized, victimized and subjugated during the defunct Eastern Igbo-dominated regional government. The voice of the past minorities couldn't have been wrong neither do the present elites of the minority subgroups whose disaffections for their friendly oppressors could have been more vociferous. The lesson thereof to the South South is such that they must get rid of the monkey off their back and believe that they could achieve whatever they desire just as they did earlier today. South South Be Wise!

If you are not dft, you would have known that all these rantings are just exercise in futility.
I am sure you were learning how to plant bombs on your body when Urhobo begged Kalu to step down for Omo agege which I attached the link below. https://www.nairaland.com/5232648/step-down-omo-agege-emerge-deputy

You even opened that your mouth to use the word "Betrayal" ?
What is more heart breaking than backstabbing your fellow southerner in 2015 all in the name of political stupidity that has been turned to sophistication ?, ofcourse stylishly begging for the same people to support you in 2023 which will forever remain a fantasy on the minds of Yoruba Muslimms..

Now let me shout this more incase if you are deaf..
Since the creation of Nigeria..SS has not alling with SW.
SS is not planning to ally with SW.
And SS will never form any alliance with SW..
It's easier for you to divide the voting pattern of NW and NE than for you to divide SS and SE voting pattern.. It's a very sad reality you must accept to live with .. (Ofcourse so many Yoruba Muslims don't like Seeing SE and SS in the same sentence).. Live with it or you commit suicide like your role model..
If you are a good student of geography, looking at the map of SE,you will find out that it's not only close to SS but in between the SS region(Dont fail to check out the map of Nigeria regions after reading this) .. You will keep dividing but trust me, your descendants will continue from where you dropped .. (Let me not discuss indigenous Igbos in SS)
Don't tell me that SS whom you demonized one of their own is now your darling, because you think you are spiting SE not knowing that you are foouuuuling yourself .. The same thing you crucified Jonathan for is what you are adoring under Buhari..

Again, don't say that SS dissapointed in the future.Stay on your lane. SS is a multi ethnic region including Igbo giants that are chasing you in your dream which their unity is cemented by Christianity...
Only if you know how they view you, you won't be opening a senseless thread up and down.. But wait, is it not the same DSP Ike Ekwaramadu held for 12 yrs years which I never even acknowledged that gave rise to this crap?
Las Las Yoruba Muslims go dey fine.
Enjoy my attention while it lasts.

Modified.. Stop selling your hopeless narratives with Tofa Vs Abiola because Abiola won in Anambra and Enugu failed in some SE and SS states while Tofa won in also won in some SE states, but failed in some parts of SS and SE as well .
Infact, 93 election result from SE and SS was mixed up..

Very pointless write up. Why would Igbos be jumping up at the seat of Deputy Senate presidency? Igbos did not even jump up when Ike Ekweremadu was elected Deputy Senate President in 2015. Igbos have held all the political posts in Nigeria from President to to common councillor so why would Igbos be be celebrating the election of Omo Agege?

And the so called SS you are talking about, you think the Efik man cares if Omo Agege is Deputy senste leader? Or the Ogoja man cares about Omo Agege? They dont even know where Urohbo land is. Hunger is killing people and you guys are making noise about Deputy Senate President that wont add a y value to the life of anybody except Omo Agege himself

Right on point and the bitterness becomes more glaring.
You can't be too delusional to think a SSner could care less of an historic feat, a dawning of a lofty political relevance since the last time they produced the President.
If the DSP seat was that inconsequential, why did Ekweremadu and the entire Ndigbo were blowing hot airs when he was asked to step down from the seat in 2015?.. Remember, Igbos vowed to retain the seat being their only highest political slot at the time.
But more importantly, why is it so hard for you to congratulate the South South?

Expect more of this type of gloating masked as 'detached analysis' of the NA elections! Some like the OP will claim to be Igbo so as not to be accused of mocking and hating on Ndigbo...and then they will then go ahead to take sly digs at us just like the OP is doing! wink

These threads are an outlet for Igbo hating bigots to express their happiness that the 'hated Igbo' have been 'dealt with' by Buhari and APC, as well as a chance to cause divisions between Ndigbo and the so called south-south like the OP just did!

The more cerebral you try to sound, the dumber you become.
The SS was formerly part of the old Western region and as such at one time had more than an alliance with the SW. Moreso, their support for the Yorubas couldn't have been more evident by their massive amounts of votes given to MKO Abiola for an overwhelming victory, a fact of which the black sheep of the South gave their block votes to Tofa their Fulani master. In that historic event, SS were Pro SW while Igbos were Pro North. Evidently as it was earlier today, SS massively voted in Gbaja, a good turn that was reciprocated to Omo Agege.
Take it or not, SS are several steps ahead of Igbos in today's political realities and the pointers are very clear. But no one would stop you from your continued politics of self destruct.

Why would any one hate on Igbos?
What do they have that no one else has had in abundance?
Why would anyone hate on a people with persecution complex/ victim mentality except for a pity?

Why have Igbos refused to congratulate the SS on their victory? Not one Igbo has, not even on Nairaland.

Why so much bitterness for the SS... SMH

They are desperate for SS alliance it seems like it. It's actually highly pathetic in a way. It make so much sense to me about a lot of things. I used to wonder why they repeatedly dismiss where the Bleep I am and repeatedly start bashing SE when arguing with am. Even when corrected, they still call on SE. Equally used to see them do the same shit to other people from SS states on this forum and other social media. It makes so much sense. I didn't know SS was the golden bride to them. Well that's good in a way; easier to play mugu if you ask me. I guess this is a pitiful attempt to voherce SS politicians to join APC after being several rejected all over SS.

What a pathetic attempt at divide and rule. Go and get educated on how to do it right from Hausa/Fulani. At least they are able to do so undetected
OUK wouldn't have stood a chance in hell against Omo Agege whom the party had endorsed. OUK a first timer carries no significance ahead of the election much less a force in the Senate.

Is Kalu SE or not? The fact he's SE defeated your desperate attempt on divide and rule. Like I said earlier, go and get trained from Northerners. Noone asked you long story of your fantasy. Infact, I don't even want anything else from you but the begging of unity from SS. I didn't know you people desperately wanted SS's attention. So all those insults in 2015 was to act like you aren't desperate to be SS.

Go back to begging for unity and stop disturbing my post if it does not include your begging of unity. It's beautiful watching the desperation honestly..

I am sure you were learning how to plant bombs on your body when Urhobo begged Kalu to step down for Omo agege which I attached the link below. https://www.nairaland.com/5232648/step-down-omo-agege-emerge-deputy

UPU couldn't have influenced OUK's stepping down the race. No external group or body aside the Party's supremacy as the case may be, could stand in the way of an individual aspiration especially in the national assembly. OUK alluded to the decision of the Party's hierarchy as he bowed to the party supremacy. With all intents and purposes, APC would not be blackmailed by a zone into reversing its annoited candidates. OUK has no political capital being a first time Senator among his colleagues.

The more you believe in your own lies and concoctions, the farther you are from freedom.

*No one trains Yoruba, their sophistication is the envy of everyone. It's ingrained and naturally tallies along with inherent intelligence.

Yoruba had & never will beg no minority. Igbo, on the other hand, do their trademark begging with some panache. Asari recently emphasized your regional status.
Gej messed up and SW dealt with him. He's now back to his senses and had since apologized.
Gej & SS had moved on but y'all are stuck, so stuck that you wouldn't congratulate Omo Agege for humiliating Ekweremadu.
So much for SE/SS tag.

Empty and Senseless Post.

You forget easily my Almajiri Afonja OP....that you Yoruba automated zonBs insulted and caused the SS pain when you ganged up to remove Jonathan?

Omo Agege is a stooge for the North...and a representation of a failed Senator. Akpabio was rejected for even associating with Yoruba Mozlems..and APC..

So instead of writing trash....go and look for a graveyard to desicrate...

What a Pathetic Post from such a shortsighted M.U.M.U like you.......

Spits.....

Ekweremadu was a stooge for 12 years. Omo Agege wouldn't mind to have a feel of being a stooge for at least 4 years either.

Why being so toxic over the success of SS. "SS/SE" is just a farce after all. SMH

Afonjas are pure evil....

Thank God we already know them.. thank God for good luck Jonathan..

If akpabio hype no teach them lesson... Then know they're real sophisticated morons I'd the chose to lick omo agege's ass to get our support.

This people and bitterness are 5/6..

Believe me ...no matter how they hate igbos..they just can't stop them...

Na wetin dey burst dia head............ Insecurity and fear that they can never in life measure up to an average igbo man...

Even if you give them they country to government and put their man...1-5 citizens...

Igbo will still be their nightmare..

SS are wiser now, following the event that occurred earlier. We know Jonathan gave Igbos an identity ( argue with Peter Obi) but of all his magnanimity, is there any monument named after him in the SE?
Records have it that almost immediately he accepted defeat after the elections, hordes of his Igbo fair weather friends deserted him at Aso Rock. That's some big shame.

If a South Southern contests and wins an election against an Igbo man, would Igbos not pull all plugs down like a pack of cards as they do other tribes and as bitter as seeing Ekweremadu lose out to DSP Omo Agege?

Food For Thought.

Igbos should learn how to maintain that dignified silence and stop gratifying idiotic submissions like this with a damn response. The low IQ mo.ron who posted these trash forgot (or is rather too daft to know) that the so called South South is a multi-ethnic enclave with varying political leanings...the Ijaw, Ishan, Efik, Ibibio, Ogoni, Ikwerre, Isoko etc people for all we know might not even give a fucck about Omo agege a Urhobo man been a DSP cause he isn't one of their own(anyone who understands the ethnic and political dynamics at play in the South South will know what I'm talking about, I'm proudly Igbo from Rivers state so I know more about this things) . The very weak divide and conquer tactics which thankfully is only a microcosm of the unbelievable stupidity of these people, only goes to confirm why it's just not worth it.
lol. U guys still dont understand yoruba. People say igbos are chestbeaters and i laugh...if an igboman was president or vp...u will never see igbos use it to insult others...but wen the table turns to yoruba they start the usual political sophis...yen yen. They are vain glorious. Look at how they are telling igbos to leave lagos...no other ethnic group in nigeria will say that to another ethnic group. A yoruba man's mouth is his power...if u hear 10 times that 2 nigerians exchanged words abroad....10 out of 10 a yoruba must be involved.

Let them have their fun. They will use their ill thought action to create enough bad blood that will help end the nonsense country
