And then. ? Go and do your worst.
Nobody is going to congratulate omo-agege the mace thief.
You are just in pains over nothing.

Agbakoba cried out that there was no igbo man in the top 6. Now, that is the defination of a tribe in pains. My sympathies!

Hope Igbos are having a full blast observing MKO/ Democracy day. Hopefully, a legendary Igbo statesman who had sacrificed in same measure would equally attain the highest title of the land posthumously in our lifetime grin

We love June 12

-Lion
who observed june 12th. What happened on that day ?
No yoruba person has 24hrs electricity like every other Nigerian.
So what the hell is june 12th ?

Who are these ones. Are they not your mothers.
You can kill yourself. If you like knack head for pillar. Nobody cares.
When you attend an event, food items and souvenirs are a normal giveaway. But it is rather criminal and anti-people for a governor to empower legions of poor people with 1 litre of kerosene.

I dare any SE Governor not to declare it a public holiday in iboland and to refuse to organize an elaborate series of event in memory of Chief MKO Abiola GCFR. Even more, I dare any Igbo civil servant not to pay Abiola & SW the honor of June 12.
While Ipob enforces May 30, every Igbo respectfully observes June 12. The difference is like 7up.

-Lion
See mumu. A federal holiday ? . All the private business were opened.
Fg holidays are observed nationwide. Sophisticated mumu.
Nobody will do anytjing special in abiolas memory apart from sw. We will just sit at home and enjoy ourselves like every other national holiday.

Why not go open the schools and send your kids or go unlock the banks and go do bulky transactions. Anything you do in your shop today remains unofficial grin
Every one of the 6 Geo political zones is celebrating.

-Lion
Who celebrated ? Even Yobe state cancelled the holiday.
It is a national holiday. All government parastatal both local and federal observe national holidays.
Did anyone do any memorial lecture apart from the sw?
Even Oyo state did low key celebration.
It is just a useless holiday because apart from those in th sw, nobody does anything memorable about abiola on that day. People just sit at home and bond with their family.

Please for God sake sheath your swords.

Igbos ae NOT enemies of Yorubas and Yorubas are NOT blocking the progress of Ndigbo. Both tribes are just working to better their interests.

Where is is the trouble. What was done to hornor abiola on that day ? Nothing.
Everybody just enjoyed their day like sallah day.
All the business men and private business owners went about their businesses. Nobody even discussed abiola on that day.

The OP is right on point.

I watched the Senate proceedings in a gathering of distinguished Igbo intelligentsia and the raw bitterness they displayed at Omo-Agege's victory was just shocking.

I didn't even view it from the angle of SS betrayal initially until I stumbled on this and a similar thread on the board, because they had me convinced that their hardline opposition to Omo-Agege was because of his seemingly unpardonable satanic crime of snatching the mace.

An eye opener to the discerning really.

Have you no slice of sense?
This year June 12 is the inaugural democracy day, the first of its kind, thereof was a grand ceremony in Abuja with all governors, Executive, Legislative and Judicial officials in attendance. How more grand could it be with several Heads of State in honour. Don't you have a TV in your shop?
By next year, each state does its own.
How much dumber can you be.

You are already honouring him if you don't know, FG public holidays all have a reason and June 12 is one of them, if e dey pepper you, hit your head against the nearest wall.
We'll still have another June 12 next year so be ready to sit at home and enjoy yourself.
Funny enough, your children and children children will still observe that day in honour of the man.

What purposeful thing do the people and state governments of the SE do on May 30th when IPOB tries to force a sit-at-home on everyone especially in Onitsha and Aba? All you mostly do is watch movies, go to beer parlours, get drunk and stagger home. That's exactly what lazy ones like you do while hardworking Igbos would sit all day thinking of the thousands and millions of naira they've missed for the day.

Is it an offical state holiday ? It a day of remembrance, you can go hit your head on a pillar. Nobody stopped anyone from doing business on the said day. It is always by choice.
