I make bold to say that Edge of Tomorrow copied its concept from this movie. I wonder how I have not taken this movie serious maybe due to the title. The acting was on point, decent action scenes with right dose of emotion. I couldn't help feeling pity for the character of the lead cast.

This is definitely a 9/10 for me

Edge of Tomorrow didn't copy from Source Code the way Source Code didn't copy Primer.

The thing is, in recent years, Time paradox has ceased to be a niche concept. Every filmmaker nowadays is trying something with the concept so much that it has lost it's once unique facility to excite and stimulate; it's now nothing more than a trope, a cliche.

However, it can still be exciting if done right.

This is a colorful piece. It was the time invested in seeing it. The story may be a cliché but well executed for an origin story on a powerful super hero. It was worth all the hype, a sequel will not be a bad idea.

At first watch, I loved Aquaman, the IMAX experience is out of this world. 3D was pretty darn good with all the bubbles and_shit.

On a rewatch(this time on BR) however, I had to question my sanity. It's like night and day with the initial IMAX experience. Sure, it's still visually stunning, but the excitement is no longer there. The plot line has become a bore, basically. The movie is all flash and no substance, IMO.

A slapstick humor flick depicting Jackie Chans' karate antics,physical skill and personal charisma. I so much appreciate the fact that Chan, performs all his own stunts himself, without any form of wire aid. IMO, after Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan remains the GOAT of martial art/karate movies. This flick is definitely worth watching for fans of Jackie Chan & anyone who fancies action comedy flicks .

The acting was stellar, frankly speaking Halle Berry was amazing. She's just one of those few actress who carries me along with her acts, the pace was also quite exhilarating.The flick perfectly captures the horror and terror of being a kidnapped victim to a deranged psychopath. It was a genuine thrilling, intense & intriguing tale. The flick does have some plot holes & weak points but what movies don't?. It would have really gotten more points from me, but for the unforgivable plot hole at the gas station .

I should have known from the trailer. Men in black was the first movie I watched in cinema as a child. Nostalgia forced me to watch this one.

Dark Phoenix isn't that bad in terms of entertainment value. However, if you watch it for the plot, you'll be extremely disappointed.

IMO, i don't think it matters if he were a comic actor or not. They are professionals, so they ought to adapt as regards any role they are given, irrespective of the genre. Take Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman for instance, i would have so disagreed with whomever told me he'd do well in a musical comedy drama. He wasn't great though, but he was very good. Do you know he was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his performance in that movie, and this was the same guy who played Logan / Wolverine in the X-Men franchise for years.... I could remember i was so touched when he did the song from now on .

I truly wonder when we are going to get something like Avengers again.

I remember going to watch the movie in the Palms Lekki. The tickets got sold out in my presence. When it was time to even enter the cinema hall, the place was packed. Even the ticket security man was thrown into the cinema hall by the sheer crowd.


I'm just reminiscing about good comic book hero movies before I go and watch the rubbish that is dark Phoenix
