Lagos to Sokoto is usually between 7,100 (small bus), and 10,000 (luxury bus).
During off-seasons like these, it can be as low as 6,500 to 9,000.
It will be better for PCMS to travel from Lagos to Sokoto using Cross Country, which can be as high as 10 to 15k, or luxury buses.

Now, all those small Toyota Hiace buses that collect 6,500 to 7k, will travel through a terrible road route and the experience is always something else. They'll go through the Ilorin - Niger - Kebbi route.
Please, for your own sake, don't follow buses going through that route. It is cheap and short, but you'll tell the story in an unpleasant way.

Those who collect 9k upwards will follow the Kogi-Abuja-Kaduna-Zamfara route.
It's longer and a bit more expensive, but you won't tell stories that touch sha.

When traveling to the North it is always better to utilize luxurious bus that do over night journey they are safer and comfortable.

There are thieves, kidnappers along the express Ondo, kogi and Abuja express but they never attack luxurious they can shot at it and all but the bus never stops and is safe. Also they are very efficient and experience they always know when robbers are on the highway and they call each other to avoid it.

for North Central and Northwest luxurious bus park is oyingbo or Iddo (both are side by side)

For Northeast states luxurious bus park is ijora 7up

For east the luxurious bus park is at jibowu to around Yaba.

If it's because of Nysc you are travelling, and you going to Abia please I will advise that you find others posted to Abia so I you guys can take one bus that will convey you to bende the camp is located.
or you board a bus going to Umuahia instead of Aba. from Umuahia you pick another going to camp.

If you sabi 'Sole' drop/road side transportation, you will only spend approximately half of the fare charged at the park...

Warning- If you don't know the route or the process please don't try it because it's risky

For those of you posted to Kano, please try as much as possible to redeploy while in camp.
Kano is a Sharia state and the experience will not be funny.
I served in Kano between July 2017-July 2018 and it's among the worst periods of my life.

Forget all these stories you read on nairaland about opportunities in Kano, my brothers and sisters who no go no go know ooo. Nothing like opportunities there, except class room of course, because there are lots of aboki illiterates.

Again, for the social folks, Kano is not for you.
Kano is for fanatics.

Redeploy while you can.
Serving in Kano is among the list of my regrets

Don't say I didn't warn you ooo.
Save travels people
