To all the guru in the house, I need sincere advise on my issue please, I have secured admission to master program in Information Technology in Ireland and France respectively, I was at dilemma, anybody with practical experience should please advise on which country should I go for. To be precise, I was offered the same course with almost the same school fees. but the only difference there is that in France the course will last for two years with 6000euros per year, while in Ireland the course is just for a year with tuition of about 12,000 euros. I want to go for the best option. I want to consider a country that will give me high potential and best opportunity in term of job and career.

kindly advise. Thank you.

Congrats on your admissions.

For me, i will advise you choose France because:

1. For thevfirst year, you will be paying 6k euro + your living cost which comes with less burden in terms of how much money you need to gather within a year. During this period, if you are the hustling type, you could take up a job that will enable you to pay for the second year.

2. I dont know much about Ireland, but France has this policy of staying back for 1 year to look for job after your programme. In total, atleast, you have 3 years to spend.

3. Your course is hot cake. I dont think you should have problem getting a job in France or within european countries. Getting a job has to do with how good you are.

4. I think France student visa processes are not that strict compare to Ireland, in that, your interview is with campus france in a relaxing atmosphere and visa application submission is with VFS global not directly to french embassy in Nigeria. You can easily get french visa if you have everything covered especially tuition fee, breathtaking motivation letter and your programme is directly linked to your bachelor/job experience.

5. In France, you will have the opportunity to learn french which could aid your relevance/job search within and outside France. French is one of the top 3 international languages.

This is my thought. Ireland could also have some advantages over France. Try ask same question in Ireland thread before you jump to a conclusion.

Hope this helps

Hello,

Please what embassy ( in Abuja) is the best and fastest place to apply for a schengen visa right now. I'm planning a 6 week vacation, and I plan to visit about 4 countries. I wanted to start working on my visa as early as possible. Plan to travel in September. I have a good travel history.

I’ve travelled to and had visas for US(3), UK(2), Malta(with Italian visa), Germany, UAE, Egypt, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Taiwan, France(I just returned 2 weeks ago. Was given a month’s visa with duration of stay of 15 days. Dunno if it’s because I applied for a conference). So now I’m trying to get a visa with a longer duration even if it’s for just 2 months. Cus I have a long break and I don’t like the travel 10 countries in 1 week kinda travel, hence my question above. Thanks in advance for your response.

You can get Visa without travel history. The chance of getting Visa if you have travel history is higher than those without travel history.
