I like the name. Nothing to worry about. Note that not all outbounding / contacting of end users bring in sales. Personally I do outbounding at times too without getting any feedback. In such scenario, just list at popular marketplaces and move on. If your domain is competitive, you will wake up one day and get a mail that it has been sold. That's how domaining works. Don't totally rely on outbounding.

To push his hand, you may consider giving him a discount like someone pointed out. You can make it time limited for like one week during one celebration/festival period and using that as an excuse for the discount. Eg during Thanksgiving week or US Independence day, you can say "we are giving a 1 week Independence discount where you can get it at 30% discount, after which the price goes back to normal". This may encourage him to buy. Independence day (July 4th) is the closest one coming up.
If the guy still no buy with your discount, then na to lock up.

But on the other hand, if you are well fed and can afford to play the waiting game and don't want to devalue your domain, you can still lock up and wait without discounts and see how it turns out. He might be waiting for the right time to come in his business, which may come in future or another buyer might appear. I've seen people report sales after holding a domain for 7years (if its a good domain o!, otherwise just offer discount jejely).

I think you don't have the right to the auth code again once you push the name to the buyer.
Moreover, the auth code is only released after 60 days of purchase. I believe he should be aware of this.

Either you push the name to undevelop and they get the auth code themselves
Or the buyer waits for the name to exceed the minimum numbers of days before the auth code can be released.
