I block only a very few people who can't stop sending forwarded msgs 'threatening ' their lives and futures not me. Lol. Or marketers who don't know how to use the Status feature of whatsapp.

I must hire this lady if I was the hiring manager because she has class and she is a serious person. In any case I wouldn’t work for companies that do not know the formalities of employment process. What is wrong with sending her an email or calling her on the phone? She is right to block this cheap consulting firm.

She should have waited. Not everyone has courtesy and it's sad.

What's the worst that could happen? He will toast her and she will say No. He cannot kidnap her through the phone. Really... what is the worst that could happen.

That is not true. She took the action in less than 2 minutes.

She was told that "I am asked to contact you via whatsapp" and her response was "I am blocking you right away"

What kind of conpany sends official messages via whassap (a social networking platform)?
The girl did the right thing. Even if the guy said he was from that company right from the start, I would still be careful as it could be a scammer.

In a chat that was posted on the platform, a man identified as Mr Benson contacted the lady who seemed to have undergone an interview at the company: Alpha Consulting.
The lady asked how Benson got her number since he started the conversation on an informal note. And since he didnt respond to her query on time, she blocked him.

It was then after he had been blocked that he now gave the details of the company he was working for.

Now the controversy trailing the chat on social media is who should absolve the blame.

Should it be Chioma? Whom many users believe was right to ask the man where he got her number from since he didn't introduce himself as a staff of the company from inception of the chat.

No representative of any organisation will wait so long to introduce themselves and the organisation they represent. Besides formal channels of contact remains phone calls and emails.
