VAR is here to help referee it will not always be 100%

Yes

I said it yesterday and i will say it again, that ball was never a penalty

If var was 100% mancity would have eliminated tottenham.

But it seems everybody point of view is different as they are all crying that they should not have replayed the penalty when it was never a penalty at first as far as i am concerned.

Five things Noticed after the game with Senegal

1. Akpeyi Clears Doubts Over His Readiness – One area where many Nigerians have concern about is the goalkeeper department of the senior national team of Nigeria, however in the game against Senegal, recently crowned first choice Daniel Akpeyi covered himself in glory. He was by far the reason why Nigeria conceded just once after a shaky start to the game.

2. Jamilu Collins Is Not A Wingback – The decision of coach Gernot Rohr to play the Paderborn left full back as a wingback didn’t work and despite Collins starting his career as a winger. He struggled to provide the width required of wingbacks as he tucked into the middle more often instead of staying wide.

3. Eagles Defence Without Balogun Is A Mess – Leon Balogun was missing due to illness and in his place coach Gernot Rohr played John Ogu as the third in a three man central defence. His absence was noticed as the back line lacked organization particularly in the opening exchanges and the goal conceded by Nigeria came from a mix up.

4. Wilfred Ndidi Is Super Eagles Most Important Player – Even though captain John Obi Mikel pulled the strings in midfield brilliantly, Ndidi was by far the most influential in the game as he covered almost every area on the pitch. Didn’t look lost in the duels and moved the ball around confidently.

5. Ahmed Musa’s Absence Showed – In the second half when the Super Eagles had load of possession and also created chances, the fact that Musa was missing affected their style of attack as his pace would have further stretched the defence of the Senegalese for the others in attack to profit from.

Sir, was this copied somewhere? If no, were you present at the stadium on the match day?

Assisat Oshoala always goes missing in big games. Fraud angry sad shocked

I hope she doesn't start our next game, if we qualify!

Kanu looks quite shaper and more skillful than Oparanozie. But what Oparanozie has going for her is her overall involvement in play. Asides, being the CF forward she sometimes drifts wide and interchanges with Oshoala(who also goes central some times).

My concern now is if we have a credible replacement for Rita Chikwelu. That woman has monopolized that CM position for like 10 years now grin and she always plays 90mins of every game. So I don't know if they have developed any player to fill that position in her absence.

I agree with you 101% Andrew. It was not a penalty at all. And the ref waved play on; however, she was instructed to take another look by the VAR operators. Normally, once the ref had given a play on call in the field, the only way to overturn that call would've been for "a clear and obvious error". But in this case, the ref overturned a call even though there was no clear and obvious error. I think she was "intimidated" into making that call.

Here's why It's in FIFA's interest to keep France and all the big teams in the tournament for as long as possible. And at that time, Norway was leading South Korea 2-0. Hence, if Nigeria were to score a fluke goal, France might end up qualifying in second place instead of the group leaders and meet a tougher opponent in the round of 16. FIFA wouldn't take that chance, hence the penalty call and the penalty retake. Football has become a big business and we (the African countries) are only there to make up the numbers.

Well, a lot of big players go missing in big games because the opposing side will definitely map out strategy to take such players out of the game.
