Exactly. Even those that dominated the recent graduation ceremony of medical doctors in the USA.

The number of Nigerians in academia and business abroad cannot be met by all other African countries combined.

There are good and bad people, and considering our population, the bad is even small.

It's our fault though,.if we had sense to sack incompetent fools in govt and fix our country.... what is Ghana to us. Rubbish!

Please tell those idiots generalizing the evils perpetrated by some limited part of nigerians

And many of them come back to Nigeria after their studies and still can't compete in the labour market with those that schooled here. 've been to Ghana two times and I fancy nothing there.
TSRC:

Illiterate.

Nigeria has more foreign immigrants tham the rest of west africa combined.
There is more money circulating in two states in Nigeria than ghana as a whole.

I honestly don't know the clowns going to ghana. What do they do there?
It has never appealed to me before just like most of africa anyway.
I can understand those who go there for an education when they can't pass the entance examination in Nigeria.

But for those hustling there, it beggars belief.

Our educational system is far better than yours. Tell me which other university of good standard that you have asides university of ghana and kwame nkrumah university of science an technology? And university of Ibadan is higher than all your universities including these two in the african universities rankings while UNN, OAU, UNILAG, COVENANT in that order are higher in rankings than any of your other single building, cubicle-sized universities. Our students that go there are the ones who can't compete here. We come to help you guys out in your country with virtually everything in engineering and oil and gas and you still think we aren't more intelligent? We can nullify certificates obtained from your obscure universities here in Nigeria because, asides the corruption, our educational standards are better than yours and this is recognized internationally as is reflected in the university rankings.Your claims of producing oil and gas enough to cater for your 29 million people is entirely false as your government keeps begging the Nigerian government for alternative means of gas supply whenever the west african gas pipeline is down-a pipeline that supplies you guys and other west african neighbours gas from Nigeria. Whatever you make from a combination of whatever resources you have is not even up to what lagos state makes on internal revenue and you come here to brag.Get your facts right before coming here to promote hatred and bigotry! We are no mates and It's high time we put you guys in your place.

funny enough, the total landmass of Ghana is 240,000 sq kms for 29 million people compared to Nigeria's 950,000 for 200 million people sq kms.How can you ban Ghanaian certificates,no country can do that.Even Americans accept Russian certificates.Work on your poor educational system and highly inadequate and corrupt system and infrastructure before blaming Ghanaians for your woes besides you are not the only foreigners in our schools.Your people pay 10,000 dollars per year and a total of 1 billion dollars of educational tuitions in Ghana which is bigger than your entire Government federal university budget for a year.Go and check.Your businesses closes at the entrepreneurs own risk if you care to know. They are rather at the mercy of Ghanaian authority.Did you not read that we had more FDI than your country in 2018.3 billion against your 2 billion dollars. We are the largest gold producers in Africa and number 2 in Cocoa production worldwide. We produce oil and gas all for a country of 29 million people. We have 500 billion dollars bauxite reserves only in Atiwa forest alone.Trust me,you guys need us.Ghana is far gone.

You said no university ranks ahead of the university of Ghana yet you still contradicted yourself by saying UI and convenant are ahead. The stats you're giving on literacy rate doesnt make sense cos we have five times more literate people in Nigeria than we have in Ghana.
Waec stats doesn't translate to being better in education cos malpractices happen with connivance of secondary schools and the schools in Ghana aren't left out. In any kind of university ranking on the Web that you can find, UI ranks ahead of any school in Ghana. In some of the rankings, UNN , OAU and Convent are also ahead of all of your universities. Are you saying that those that do these rankings don't know what they're doing? Nigerians are way more intelligent than you guys and it reflects in the quality of education. None of the Nigerians that schooled in ghanaIan universities that I've met are exceptional. They're just normal. Go to the US and see how Nigerians are excelling academically and in industries too. You're just here posting what you don't know and this displays your level of naivety. The west african gas pipeline company having its headquarters in Ghana has only a historic significance as the ecowas meeting that creates the company was held in ghana. The west african gas pipeline which is owned by the company supplies over 5 billion standard cubic feet of gas per year to ghana, togo and benin Republic yet you guys fight and detest nigerians nothwistanding this great favour we are doing you. And yes, it's a favour cos we can decide to shut down the pipeline and parts of your country will be in darkness you aren't going to do anything. The west african gas pipeline company itself just has its headquarters in Ghana. Chevron owns 36.7% of the company, nnpc (nigeria) owns 25%, Shell owns 18%, the river volta authority in Ghana owns 16.3% and the gas association of togo owns 2% and gas association of benin republic owns 2%. Mind you, chevron and shell own such percentage because the Nigerian government requested them to do so as they were operating in the escravos region of nigeria (the place where the pipeline takes of from) at the time. Please don't ever mention me again particularly when you say things you're ignorant of.

You lack factual data and accuracy. Nigeria university started. topping legon just of late. As far back as 2017 downward. No Nigeria UniversIty has such capacity. Do your searching... And agian UniversIty education is not enough to judge academic rigourous of a society. Basic education is far more important.

And about the illiteracy, you only hide under population because it doesn't favour you, if it is Niger or chad republic , you will be chest beating right now. Over 100 million Nigeria children across 10 states are not in school. That is impossible even in northern Ghana with such average record.. Tell me any similar country with such embarrassing figure and percentage. I maintain not all ranking agree with times. You may check QS for another version of truth. YOU NEED TO THANK A GHANAIAN FOR YOUR ACCESS TO BROADCAST VIA CYBER SPACE USING FIBER OPTIC. ""Thomas mensah "" alone accomplished more in science discovery and exploration than any Nigeria counterpart. Even the west hold him in high esteem. He is the founder of fiber optic.

Ghana is inbuilt with discipline and examination malpractices is very minimal compare to almighty Nigeria. Even with the worst and visible case of exam malpractice in Nigeria. She failed to accomplished Ghana success in wassce performance for over a decade now. You may not be conversant with report. GHANA just discover larger chunk of gas and crude just last month.

The simple truth, west Africa gas pipe line is not a Nigeria property but four ecowas shared responsibility including chevron.

Mr ignorant. Let me top your frustration. Only someone like you who does not understand the realities prevailing in nigeria educational system speak in such manner. If you can apply a little more gumption to the issue, you will realize that the children of the Celebrities or top politician do not really attend nigeria UniversIties. So, get your assessment right and quit making shallow arguments. The core issue is the quality of Education in Nigerian Universities versus Ghanaian Universities. So, deal with that. Maybe, I should remind you that Ghana provided quality Civil Servants to Nigeria, even before her Independence and soon after, to help build her governing infrastructure. If Ghanaian Education were that much poorer than Nigeria's, that could not have happened. Furthermore, even with many of our quality Teachers migrating to help Nigeria educate her Students over the few last decades, Ghana still had many quality Teachers remaining to provide just as good Education as Nigeria expected from the migrating Ghanaian Teachers. Any fallen standards in Ghana could have been due such migration. Yet, it has shown to be all that significant a factor in fallen standards. Surely, the standard of Education in Ghana could have fallen a bit, relative to what it used to be, not in relation to Nigeria's, due to constant revision of its structure by the various Governments and inadequate government funding to support it. But it has not deteriorated to the level of Nigeria level. . The fact a few Nigerian Institutions may have risen in quality past their Ghanaian counterparts, do not necessarily set the average performance of all the Nigerian Varsities above those in Ghana. That assessment has not even been empirically made yet.

I am glad you have been lectured about the rest. Now you understand what make lagos revenue huge and what Ghana had done to Nigeria financially and as well as security cover.

That’s because they are not yet evolved enough. Lower forms of creatures like your wasps, bees, ants, rats and primitive human types aren’t able to appreciate kindness, you try to help ‘em, show ‘em human kindness and they reciprocate by stinging or trying to bite your arm off. They just aren’t able to comprehend the parameters of kindness - the give and take of it. Instead, they’re more inclined to believe that they did it under their own steam, that they got away with something at your expense.

I guess with such beings all you can do is shake your head at ‘em, shower ‘em with unconditional love, be their gods, understanding you can get nothing back in return for they are , as yet, too lowly... cry I wouldnt though.

You have failed to provide statistics in all you mentioned and the quoted numbers you have scantily put in your post are false. Let me refute them one after the other and after this I'm done with you because I see you argue with sentiment rather than facts.Nigeria has far less than 100 million people below age thirteen so I'm wondering where you got 100 million children that are not in school. Secondly, if you look at very populated countries across the world that are developing nations, you'll find similar numbers in terms of literacy rate(check the numbers in indonesia, bangladesh etc). Thirdly, you say four ECOWAS states own WAGP but in what percentages?Nigeria owns more percentage in WAGP than the combined ownership of Ghana, Togo and Benin republic.NNPC owns 25% and should have owned(and can still own) 80% of WAGP but we ceded it to Shell and Chevron as a way of letting them fulfil their corporate social responsibility obligation to Nigeria(Both companies operate in Nigeria in the location where their major asset-the west african gas pipeline orginates). Like I said again, Nigeria can decide to shutdown that line and put majority of ghana in darkness if we want and there's nothing anyone can do about it. The last time the line was down, I remember how your government was calling to beg the nigerian government to tell shell ad chevron to send expertise to get it up and running. These expertise that make this happen are purely Nigerians because ghana doesnt have such expertise, asides the expatriates that work their and when it comes to fixing the WAGP pipeline, it is we Nigerians that do that and even the expatriates learn from us in this regard. I have been part of such delegation before.Fourthly, Nigerian universities like UI, OAU, UNN and UNILAG have been ahead of any Ghanaian university since the 60's up till the mid 2000's(you can check all the rankings like QS, webometrics, I4CU etc to verify this) when only Legon went ahead of us and since 2017 again, we have been ahead. Then again your statement that only few universities in Nigeria are of better standard than their Ghanaia counterparts is very false because, asides Legon and Kwame Nkrumah university, no other universities in Ghana can match the top thirty universities in Nigeria in terms of any statistic you want to use for rankings. Ghanaians never helped build our educational system in any way. They were just migrants that tried to eke a living in Nigeria when we had right thinking people in government. If you look at the cheating stats in that secondary level education, you'll observe that the percentages are slightly the same in both countries. There are far more Nigerians that have made tremendous impact to the world at large than any Ghanaian can ever think of.The only one that comes close is Kofi Annan. Go to universities in america and europe and find out who the most excellent students are in those schools. Majority of the time when you have a Nigerian student in a department, he's always the best. Forget that Nigeria is the way it is now. Ghana was like this too if not for the cleansing of Jerry Rawlings and corruption still exists in Ghana but at a slightly lesser degree than it is in Nigeria. Lastly and to cap it all up, your claim that Thomas Mensah achieved more than any Nigerian and that he is the inventor of fibre optic cable is completely false and baseless. UK based indian physicist, Narinder singh Kapany invented the fiber optic cable in 1952. Please get your facts right before coming here. You are talking to a very well educated person. I won't respond to you on this matter again.

You lack factual data and accuracy. Nigeria university started. topping legon just of late. As far back as 2017 downward. No Nigeria UniversIty has such capacity. Do your searching... And agian UniversIty education is not enough to judge academic rigourous of a society. Basic education is far more important.

And about the illiteracy, you only hide under population because it doesn't favour you, if it is Niger or chad rebublic , you will be chest beating right now.

The simple truth, west Africa gas pipe line is not a Nigeria properly but four ecowas shared responsibility including chevron.

Because of your demonic and abominable activities wherever you go. How can you leave your country and start indulging in kidnapping and armed robberies in a country that has welcomed you with open arms. Most of you are senseless with no conscience. We Ghanaians will not sit down for you animals to destroy our country like you have done to Nigeria.
What's your problem? Why are you attacking me for stating an obvious fact? You type like you have done no wrong yourself.
Please go cast your frustration elsewhere, and don't quote me anymore.

HAHAHAAA, I remember the days ELEMENTARY FORM FOUR GRADUATES FLOCKED INTO NIGERIA AS TEACHERS, GHANAIANS WERE TEACHERS IN NIGERIA EVEN BEFORE AND AFTER THE OIL BOOM. WHAT MAKE NIGERIANS THINK THEY ARE BETTER, I ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW. THOSE WHO PREFER BETTER EDUCATION AND CAN AFFORD SENT THEIR KIDS TO GHANA TO STUDY. CHECK YOUR HISTORY AND STOP YOUR SILLY COMPARISION BECAUSE YOU ARE LYING.

1 CAN MAKE A TALL LIST OF PROMINENT NIGERIANS WITH GHANAIAN DEGREE..

Your IQ shouild be investigated. I repeat you forget India, China, Russia , Brazil are larger country with high percentage of their citizens educated. Why are you comparing Nigeria with not to do well countries like yours.. no uni in nigeria is currently rated than legon in 2019 apart from UI and covenant(proof me wrong with evidence ) And Qs ranking 2018 , Ghana uni is the only school featured in the table from west Africa.

You brag too much. Anyone who had been to the University of Ghana Legon (with a student population of more than 40,000), can testify to the fact that probably no university in Nigeria has more space and facilities than Legon. And there are at least 13 more public universities in Ghana for a population less than lagos and oyo in combine. . There are also a dozen privately-owned universities in Ghana, offering quality education to Ghanaians and foreigners alike, including a growing number of Nigerians.

And in the case of defence, the Ghanaian military is one of the best trained on the continent and had performed exceptionally well in various international assignments. The entire first generation of Nigerian military officers, including Generals Olusegun Obasanjo, Hassan Katsina and Adebayo were all trained in Ghana. Ghanaian army generals have commanded UN troops in Lebanon, Liberia, Rwanda, Darfur, etc over the years.

Small Ghana owns about 16 percent state of the west Africa gas pipe and you don't see it as threat. If you put it in per capital terms. GHANA leads. With Nigeria having less below 26 stake. Ghana gas and equatorial gas are ready to replace Nigeria within a short possible period of time. Just wait A little and see what Ghana will do with her new Gas.

1 am not gonna educate you about Ghana politics. Live it for the Ghanaians. But i will educate you on what you need to know.

Well I mean to say 10 million Nigeria children are out of school. Remove the single zero and tell me which place in the world have such absolute figure.

Investor of fiber optic...

tell me one country in earth that is not a man made country

All these things you are typing are excuses

Go to Europe and see what countries are supposed to be. A people with the same race and shares everything in common. Ranging from mentality and ideology, tradition and culture, faith and religion, socio-economic and political views and approach. That's why they separated peacefully and form their different countries according to their differences. Also, in Asia, you will find them there. People who understands their differences and inability to live together, they separated. Now come down to Southern African countries here, there used to be countries together but they separated due to the same problem. So tell me why can't Nigeria separate peacefully and form their different countries and then do their businesses separately and succeed all together?
