This is very true. A 'manual' appointment, meaning physical appearance to secure a submission date at the South African VFS is now required. Strange but true.

What? .ordinary useless South Africa is now forming abroad for Nigerians undecided. Our leaders have really destroyed this country.

Good day guys. My wife and daughter submitted their tourist visa application around March and today makes it 3 full month after they submitted in Abuja, and it’s still showing under assessment. Included in the application was Birth cert, marriage cert, photos of our marriage and child dedication, expired visa that was used back in 2016, and another expired visa that wasn’t used late last year. And joint account balance was around 2.1m. And the planned trip was May last month and now it’s almost June ending, and no update from them.. what do you guys advice I do?

Should I still wait till God knows when or just withdraw? And now I read they’ve even made things more stressful by booking appointments before submission.

I thought it’s only long term visa applicants that go through such delay, pls has anyone had this type of situation before ? makes one think some files were just dumped at one corner with no care in the world while waiting for applicants to withdraw. I’ll appreciate your input.

Nothing yet, since 18th of March. It's worrisome but the option of withdrawal is not an option. Just keep hope alive.

Hi Guys,

I was going through HESA/USAF requirements for exemption certificate and I found the following:

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED:

Proof of Payment for the applicable exemption fee. The money is not refundable if the applicant does not qualify or fails to respond to letters regarding the application, within 120 days of the first letter.
Identification documents (ID or Passport or birth certificate)
School leaving (matric) certificate
Post School Qualifications and Academic Records
If you have an American High School Diploma:
Admission letter issued by the Registrar of an accredited university in the United States of America
If you are a married woman:
Marriage certificate or divorce order
If you are applying for foreign conditional exemption or
If you are applying on the basis of mature age (older than 23):
Download and complete the M30 application form
Submit the completed form with supporting documentation as specified above to the Registrar of the University at which the candidate proposes to register. The application must be signed by the Registrar in support of the application.

-------------------

I believe I can provide all needed except, -Post School Qualifications and Academic Records-. I have not attended any educational institution besides high school so how do I provide this ? FYI, I'm going for undergraduate studies. Any one here with first hand info ? Kindly help please..
