bosstim:quit reasoning with your anus.Winning trophies is team effort. Has Ronaldo won A PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT IN FIFA OR EURO Mind you, both individual and Team trophies, LEO is still ahead with 2years young career... Eder and Guedes help cr7 to win Euro and Nation league trophies in the final.... No one could help Leo even i the WORLDCUO FINAL....yet he has 1MVP IN WORLDCUP AND 3MVP IN COPA AMERICA. see you in Fifa gala night and Balon dor night. Las Las you go shutup |

GoTV:Nobody, to the best of my knowledge is saying that Messi is not a good player. What the grouse is, is the irrational attempt to compare him with CR7. An excellent player should excel in any team,at any league. Messi has never carried the Agentine team all by his shoulders to success. On the other hand CR7 has done that for Portugal right from when they didn't have stars that you sighted above. CR7 excelled in Portugal,he also excelled in the most competitive and most difficult league for any player, the English premier league,he has also excelled in Spain and now excelling in Italian league. On the other hand ,Messi has remained in spain,he should leave his comfort zone lets see how he can adjust, adapt, integrate and excell just like CR7. Messi is good but,CR7 is the BEST. |

kessdivine4all:How has Ronaldo been the difference? In both finals which he played that got him the two trophies he has he never scored nor assisted in anyone of them; in fact, he's never won man of the match in any of of the finals and it has been other Portuguese players that has always saved his ass...but Messi has always scored or assisted in all the finals he's played and he has always won man of the match in all of them... So, that Messi has been unlucky with Argentina will never diminish his brilliance to those who know football... It's only miscreants and low IQ people that will compare Messi and Ronaldo and still have the effrontery to say that Ronaldo is better than Messi. |

Martinez19:This same Portugal team you want to downgrade because you want to hype the tap-in merchant defeated France in France in their most important match in history WITHOUT him! Argentina can't do that. The tap-in merchant has won 2 international trophies, yet he wasn't even Portugal's best player in those tournaments, talk less of being the entire tournament's best player. Messi enters finals & wins best player of the tournaments, yet, he doesn't win the competition. That should tell you something about the respective teams! That should tell you that if Messi had this Portugal team, he would have won FOUR international trophies including 1 world cup whether he flops in all the finals or runs away like some tap-in merchant. No be by big name forwards wey you get; na by team balance & fighting spirit wey coach dey put for him team. |

MrMou:I don't know how you guys are coming to the conclusion that the Portugal team has been better than Argentina team. Check the fifa rankings, Argentina was around top 3 for along time till 2017 with Portugal struggling to make top 10... So how is Portugal better? |
| Re: Argentina 1-1 Paraguay: Messi Goal Not Enough As Albiceleste Still On Bottom by frankmoney(m): 1:12pm On Jun 20, 2019 |
MrMou:lol compare the players in Argentina and Portugal ... And tell me which final Messi has turned up ... Is it ... The last Copa America that the overrated Barca midget missed a penalty ? Or world cup final he was running around like a headless chicken .... If Ronaldo had Argentina team he would have won the world cup twice ... But put Messi in Portugal and they won't get out of group stage .I bet messi was begging for a tap in to win Paraguay ... He even used a penalty to score if it was Ronaldo you midget fan boys won't let us hear word |
| Re: Argentina 1-1 Paraguay: Messi Goal Not Enough As Albiceleste Still On Bottom by Martinez19(m): 1:24pm On Jun 20, 2019 |
MrMou:Hush my friend! Where did I downgrade Portugal? Didn't you watch the match to know that France were the better team? Didn't you see how France pressuried Portugal and played them well? Portugal were on a thin rope in that match. To make matters worse, they were without Ronaldo. They prepared well but their victory can be attributed to luck for the most part. Don't act like Portugal were better than France to have beaten France. France were more superior. In the 2012 ucl final, Bayern well better than Chelsea but Chelsea still won. No be by big name forwards wey you get; na by team balance & fighting spirit wey coach dey put for him team.Yen yen yen yen yen yen yen. The Argentine team from 2007 - 2018 are way more superior and have balance — solid balance. The big names they've fielded are not mere names. In the semi finals of Nations League, it was clear Portugal were outplayed and they had no balance but Ronaldo's efforts saved the day. During Euro 2016, who saved Portugal from being eliminated in the group after a very terrible start? Ronaldo remains the GOAT. |

GoTV:when Maradona went to Napoli, please tell me the exceptional players there. When he won the world cup, the squad Maradona had is not as complete as Messi's Argentine squad. they got to the world cup and Copa America finals aan you are blaming his team mates. Like seriously? was it not the same team mates that played with messi that took Argentina to those finals? or do you think they dont want to win laurels? The only sensible you wrote is messi being a victim of his brilliance. Apart from that, please stop making useless excuses. |
| Re: Argentina 1-1 Paraguay: Messi Goal Not Enough As Albiceleste Still On Bottom by Martinez19(m): 1:41pm On Jun 20, 2019 |
Beverlyjean:Lol. Are you minding the olodo?Compare a team that scores goals but have no skills to a team that has skills but scores no goals. Goal is to football as money is to life. Just as our survival and comfort cost money, the progressive and success of a team requires goals. Wouldn't it sound funny when a team has skills but didn't score through out the season? There are many skillful players but few are recognised and respected because only these few have their skills scoring goals, building goals and winning top trophies. That's why Zidane, Ronaldo delima, Ronaldinho etc. were respected for their skills. If a footballer is skillful yet can't score, assist or win top trophies, he becomes a laughing stock many don't know and he soon fades into oblivion. It's similar to life. If your skill or intellect doesn't produce money and major intellectual contributions, you are not really a "somebody." |

chiboy1116:When Portugal won the Euros ...did they have a striker?? Did they have a good midfielder... What's the difference between these Argentine midfielders and the Portuguese midfielders at the Euros Quaresma... Fluntuates and can't completes full time Moutinho... Average ( never played for a top club) João mario... Dead Vierinha.... Unknown Andre Gomez ... Dead Renato Sanchez... Inexperienced Rafa silver... unknown William cavarlho ... average Danilo...average Andre silver... Dead Those are the names of the entire midfielders Portugal used in the euros to win it... Not one played for a top European club... All were in Portuguese league , apart from moutinho that was in the French league and quaresma that was in the Turkish league... The only two superstar in the team was Ronaldo and there was Nani that never hit it big and Pepe that is red card prone... But they still won the euros that is the second most difficult cup to win after the world cup... And remember, they had never won anything in their history... But u guys are there making excuses for Messi.... |

You guys are funny. Maradona took a team of average players to two world cup finals back to back and won once.Pele as kid came on and change the course of a team of superstars in the semi final(akin to what MBAPPE is doing now) He still did it as an oldie(those days at 30+ you are finished in football) in 1970 when he wasnt even their best player when the chips were down. That is the stuff of legends. Not dribbling across people in La Liga and some Champions league games only. eni4real: |

afroxyz:Before Maradona, Napoli was substandard and couldn't smell Seria A in a million years. With Maradona, they won their first Seria A in 1987, finished runner up twice in 1988 and in 1989 and then won it in 1990. Within that same four years, he won the Coppa Italia in 1987 and finished runner up in 1987. Napoli also won the UEFA Cup in 1989 and the Italian super cup in 1990. If Messi, the so called god, left Barcelona to Napoli today, pundits won't say that Messi will dominate instead they will be asking "can he survive without barca?", "will he do well?" ![]() Ewu(goat) wey dey like anfield grass. ![]() |

Only Careca of Brazil he had and they were facing hard nail defenders in the Baresi brothers of both AC and Inter.A man took a team from backwater Sicilian island to glory of Scudeto and European triumph. He took a step down from Barcelona and conquer, let Messi try this too before I can measure him against Maradona. In Argentina it is a sin to compare Messi to a player that a temple is set up and people are worshipping him despite his human foibles. afroxyz: |

DimIsaac10:I think the problem with Argentina in this Copa Nations Cup is partly due to messi and the coach. I noticed that with messi on the team, the coach cannot play two proper wingers and two strikers upfront in a match cos he would not want to distort messi"s position which is from the right side of the attack, making the formation always 4-3-3 without tweaking in the full 90 mins thereby making Angel D maria and Arguero useless in every game. The coach should instead try a messi in the central midfield (10) position and play a conventional 4-4-2 with di maria and Los Celso as proper wingers, while arguero and martinez strikes |

GEEBITE:Average team that score 3 goals in the final while Maradona was not on the score sheet. Buruchaga is average Valdano is Average Pasarella is average?? Don't be deceived by folktales. All their videos are available on the YouTube Check up Argentina vs Germany 1986 World cup final. And see how those average players perform compare with this mediocre teammates of Messi... No credit to Carlos Bilardo, the Coach?? My question for you.. Why can't Maradona perform following Claudio Cannigia suspension in Italia 90 final ![]() |

Martinez19:See mumu talk! So you expected Portugal to outplay France in France with the tap-in merchant before, ba? When no be say na Barca or City France dey play? Nawa o! Team that had a whole 47% possession against France with France having ZERO shot on target in extra time when pressure suppose dey pass no try reach, ba? Your mcm was around when Portugal were struggling to take their game against ordinary Poland to penalties but you somehow think he would have made Portugal outplay a whole France in France! Nothing wey person no go hear from sycophants of the tap-in merchant! Yen yen yen yen yen yen yen. The Argentine team from 2007 - 2018 are way more superior and have balance — solid balance. The big names they've fielded are not mere names. So tell us why the "super" Argentina has to wait for only Messi to deliver in the finals unlike an "average" Portugal that wins finals effortlessly without the tap-in merchant? Your mcm has won 2 international trophies & he still wasn't Portugal's best player in any of the tournaments! How do you explain that? Doesn't that tell you something? In the semi finals of Nations League, it was clear Portugal were outplayed and they had no balance but Ronaldo's efforts saved the day.Team wey go unbeaten throughout the tournament before the glory hunting tap-in merchant joined in again wouldn't have defeated Switzerland without him, ba? Na him help them win all those matches wey them win before him show ba? Na him help them win against Holland wey dey hot too, ba? Nothing wey person no go hear from sycophants of the tap-in merchant. During Euro 2016, who saved Portugal from being eliminated in the group after a very terrible start?I no understand! Are you trying to give Nani's glory to your mcm? Nani scored in 2 group stage matches including in the only match your mcm scored & you want to give the tap-in merchant Nani's glory? Nawa o! Ronaldo remains the GOAT.Obviously only to his extremely deluded sycophants! |
