Carshopper: Back in 2010 in bauchi, I bought a 2007 toyota Highlander Hybrid @ 650,000 Yes I said six hindered and fifty thousand naira. The vehicle had been parked in an auto electricians shop for over 5months. Vehicle mileage was 52,000miles the issues were. 1. Front impact that ruptured the Radiator. 2. Damaged airconditioning system 3. damaged inverter DC inverter Unit. More to come.... 3 Likes

The vehicle was being driven in via land border when it had a collision with a motorcycle rider somewhere in kastina, the rider survived with minor injuries, the drive did not notice the coolant leaks from the crack on the Hybrid system, he fixed the leak on the radiator and continued his journey. Midway somewhere around kaduna, the vehicle went off and was towed to bauchi. The bumper was fixed, headlight repaired, then towed to the electricians shop for fixing. back then I had a toyota camry 1998 V6...... This is what I did. More after the commercial break.  2 Likes |

Those where the days when my blood was very hot... I first tried calling the market from bauchi to find out the average price, but was unsuccessful, as I did not have the proper connects.. Nah so I enter road with my carinaII 1992 model that had a 4A-FE engine fire de go lagos (that car was a beauty) Getting to ladipo I saw the promise land, but could not enter....  Let's kwantinue 3days guarantee made no sense at all... it takes 1 whole day to drive 1200km to bauchi from lagos, takes another day to install and test, and a final day to return  it was too tight, and sadly the inverter units I could see were all "fugly" looking... I could not take the risk.So I did the unthinkable. I bought a 5s-fe motor complete with engine harness and engine ecu. Bought the motor from ladipo and the ecu and harness from Owode complete with a/c compressor. 1 Like |
