Whoever that young man was he just succeeded in making a mountain out of a mole hill. The Nobel Laureate did not as much as exchange any word with him. The Laureate got up from the seat and relocated on request. Although the young man did not in any way disrespect Prof Wole Soyinka, his successful mountaineering of this mole hill on social media shows the height of his stupidity. Shame on that young man.

If I were that lad I would have used that opportunity to connect with one of the world's greatest.

I know of many people that the humble prof changed their stories by giving them the opportunity the children of wealthy and rulers of this world do not have.

Ignorance I abhor thee. Knowledge I adore thee.

And how do you know the said guy is not made even more than WS himself? Poor people mentality.

Today we're talking about Regina Daniels, tomorrow Tonto, next Bobrisky, BBN, the man that entered helicopter in traffic and today Soyinka and plane.

Anyway, if this is what we're to use to ease off the pressures we get from this godammed country, then no wahalasmiley

I take it that you are a millennial.

Prof. Soyinka dominated our Literature classroom.

Taught me the African narrative.

Professor Soyinka is one of the only three blacksic academics to have won a Nobel Prize in Literature in the history of the prestigious awards. He is the first African ever to win in that category.

Without his genius, all the teachers that ever taught you any subject would probably not be able to understand written language as well as they does now.

Go for what you believe in.
With or without him literature will still be served.
Stand for what is right and speak out.
He is wrong as someone who is learned to sit on someone's sit.
Age shouldn't be used for blackmail

The guy sha for respect the Nobel Winner , I remember seeing Wole Soyinka at MM when I wanted to buy a few things at the duty free some years back I was going to Europe, I was so carried away I could have willingly given him my seat
Shut up your mouth there! Even the prince of England wouldn't have done what Soyinka did, in the first place did Soyinka forget the seat allotted to him? It would have been more civilized if Soyinka had taken his original place and then seek the young man's consent to swap seat i believe the young man wouldn't have objected in the circumstance. I pray you shouldn't be so carried away so much as exchanging your life and dying in the place of someone in the name of one stupid respect.

Nope, Nigeria bloggrs are too lazy. They would rather just be fabricating identity up and down, just like the one you saw today.

shocked

The hypocrisy of these fellas running up and down to talk for the old man is not only shameful but also disgraceful. These same peeps never held their tongue when lashing out at elder Jonathan (ex President).

What the young man did was courageous and very polite. The strength of a man is measured in his ability to withstand equals and superiors.

Name one thing that Wole contributed to this country aside personal honours. Don't honour those who never honoured your fathers.

Richdad

Mumu wole. Then he was busy having a go at jonathan and his wife. Yolo bad who like to respect elders did not call him to order. Thank God I did not read any if his book.

whats the big deal, people should respect reserved seats, they wouldn't do this on international flights, soyinka shouldn't be offended, after all he was rebellious in his youth.
